Also, I assume Mattel had to go thru Midwest to make the classic IC and the Classic tag titles, so it is possible. Sometimes at the ends of video games you will notice copyright Reggie Parks on games that feature his designs.
He designed them, and WWF wasn't forward thinking enough to get an agreement before the belts debuted. After debuting, the secondary market became too lucrative for Parks to sign over the designs. BTW, I am not talking replicas you get from spam/RSC those are different.

WWE has so much money and has nearly bought out everything in the wrestling business, but they can't come to a deal regarding belts that their own company used and copyrighted? WWF wasn't able to copyright those designs. They tried, but the owners (Reggie Parks) wouldn't agree to it because he had another business selling them to the public minus the WWF logo. You can get a belt made minus the logo for about $1500, WWF charges $1000 for the WWF/WCW logo. WWF eventually went away from Parks and began designing the belts in house and do own the copyrights now to all the newer stuff. Probably beginning with the Big Eagle maybe the Attitude IC not really sure. However all the old belts from the 80s are owned by Midwest designs (Reggie Parks/Dave Millican. As stated, it is why the White IC belt was changed after a couple of weeks. Midwest owns the majority of the NWA/WCW designs too. It's crazy to think about all these legal entanglements. Thanks for the history lesson though, I learned a lot.

Thankfully, probably not. I say thankfully because if we did ever get that or any other old school belts in mattel form, my head would explode and I don't think I would ever recover. It would just be too awesome for me to handle.

If we ever get a Hogan he will likely come with the Winged Eagle belt. I love the Hogan 86 belt, the 84 and 85. Guy got a new belt every year for a while there.
