I think a heel Alberto Del Rio is pretty bad, but I did enjoy that 4 month face run he had. I thought he wrestled better as a face, if that makes any sense?? Tensai you can't help but feel bad for. He and Test should have had a run with the Tag Belts in 2000, but they split them up, and he gets put into X-Factor and gets an IC Title reign. Only to hold it until Storm took it for the Invasion angle. My guess is cause they didn't want Kane to drop the IC Belt to Storm. Then they turn him face and he goes with Scotty 2 Hotty. Which isn't bad, he was getting over as the Hip Hop Hippo and then they turn him heel and attack Scotty for no reason. Then his heel push doesn't happen until like 6 months later when he 'injures' Mysterio. So he gets a ppv match with Edge at Armageddon 2002 and then nothing again until Mania where he loses to Taker. They dropped the ball with him in 2003, big time! Then he leaves, does great in Japan and comes back to this big build up and they flop it, big time. I don't see him being WWE Champion, but he could have had the US Belt and feuded for the WWE Title. But then he gets turned into this dancing guy again - JUST like what happened with Scotty in 2001 - and is pretty much doing the same WWE cycle again that he originally did. I just hope he's making good money, that's the only thing that could justify him being back in the WWE again. He just simply never got over as a serious heel. In 02/03 he was given a big push as "A-Train" but the fans only saw him as a midcarder. He was given feuds against top names like Mysterio, Edge, Benoit, Taker, and Cena and still couldn't get over. The WWE tried everything to get him over and guys like Angle, Lesnar, Big Show, etc... were more legit heels. They always seemed pushed him a little but without any real enthusiasm. When they hit a wall they didn't both getting around it they just gave up on him. The guy was SO over when he was with Scotty.

I think you're overestimating how over Ryback was. Like I said he wasn't ready for the main event but was getting a reaction from the fans. The guy had potential and the fan base was growing but was ruined by his feuds w/ Punk, The Shield, Cena, and Henry. As soon as he failed to capture the title at HIAC he was doomed to fail. That was the one, and only chance they had to make him a legitimate star, and even then the fans were only ever going to get sick of his Goldberg shtick fairly quickly. He really is just a Goldberg knock off, and it isn't because they're both bald. His gimmick is a complete rip off, even to the noises he makes in the ring and the way he moves. Plus, he doesn't do half of the cool stuff that Goldberg did. Ryback botches lifting Heyman and Tensai.... Goldberg Jackhammers Big Show and does spinning wheel kicks.

Yes fans danced and claped when the music hit but the guy wasn't nearly as over as some of the top midcarders in 2001. The fans just didn't get behind him enough and during his A-Train push he dominated Taker and Benoit in some segments and fans still didn't care much. I'd say the WWE did a decent job pushing him in '03 by making him a prominent guy on SD. The fans just simply didn't care for him. The guy has never drew fans in the US and has never moved merchandise. I'm also a fan of his and his old "A-Train" gimmick (hate the Tensai gimmick thogh). Paul Heyman seemed big on him and perhaps if WWECW was around then w/ Heyman he could have been something big on the C Show. I'd say the same applies McIntyre. Given a huge push in 2010 but the fans simply didn't care about what he did.

i love seeing Sean O'haire's name come up in multiple posts. im a huge o'haire mark and i think he deserved a US title run, if not end up in the wwe title picture down the line.

I think Matt Hardy was super super over coming off the Edge thing (also when he turned on Jeff) and never really got a fair crack of the whip
