THE MAIN EVENT
Scarlett Quinn vs. Penny Shannon
At WFWF Battleground Scarlett Quinn successfully retained the WFWF World Championship in her first main event as champion, defeating Shawn Malakai in a knockdown, drag out bout that proved to everyone that Scarlett Quinn is no transitional champion. Now however Scarlett has something else to worry about. The rumour mill has been in full effect this week with the idea that Trace Demon, now the sole owner of the WFWF, will soon set his sights on the WFWF World Championship. So with one of her closest allies possibly chasing her gold who can she turn to? If you said Penny Shannon you’d be wrong, because this week’s main event Scarlett will be facing off with her best friend and tag team partner in the first girl-on-girl (get your minds out of the gutters guys) main event. Will these two women be willing to battle it out or will their friendship get in the way? And of course the most important question of all is when all is said and done who will step forth to challenge Scarlett Quinn as we head towards the second biggest pay per view of the WFWF calendar, Scars & Stripes?
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Joe Bishop © vs. Jayson Garrett
You can call the National Championship the lower card title all you want but this match right here has all the criteria to steal the show right out from under you, and then punch you in the face for calling it a lower card title in the first place. Joe Bishop, arguably the most successful National Champion in WFWF history, took claim of his third National Championship belt at Battleground with a victory over Devilkiller, and later continued that success by being part of the winning team in the titular match. With a promised International Championship match in his future he must first defend the newly won National Championship against the man who earned the right to challenge him at Battleground. Jayson Garrett proved himself to be more than capable of making a big impact here in the WFWF and in what will be only his second match here he has a chance to take his first piece of gold. It’s a match that many will likely be calling a future World Championship bout and with so much on the line both men will be fighting like it’s exactly that, but only one can leave with the gold in this battle of the future.
TRIPLE THREAT SHOWDOWN
Mak Cross vs. Yukio Blaze vs. Devilkiller
If there was any doubt in your mind that Trace Demon is unimpressed with the fact that four members of the WFWF roster decided to try and help oust him from power then that will be quickly dispelled when you see this match. Mak Cross, Devilkiller and the man who made a rather unorthodox return at Battleground Yukio Blaze were all part of Team Xavier Pierce and now they’re going to get the reward for their failure as they face off in a triple threat match. With the news that Cam Nitta was injured during his incredible run in the Battleground match Mak will be flying solo and will be looking to finally elevate himself into the upper echelons ahead of Scars & Stripes. Devilkiller is coming off of losing his National Championship to Joe Bishop but this is an opportunity for him to take the next step up the card and with his winning history he’s got the talent to pull that off. Yukio Blaze meanwhile had a much more surprising roll at Battleground because not only did he make his return and put a beating on Trace Demon and Reverend Shadow but he promptly left the cell and eliminated himself, possibly costing Xavier Pierce the WFWF in the process. Why would Yukio Blaze do such a thing? Well maybe if he gets through this match we’ll find out. It’s an opportunity for one of these men to get a big victory and for Trace Demon to watch as they tear each other apart. Smiles all round.
PARTNERS COLLIDE
Ace Bennett vs. Thunder
At Battleground Thunder and his makeshift tag team partner, the returning Ace Bennett, scored a big victory over the established team of Dave Demento and Randel Benjamin. Now well that victory was impressive it also raised the question of what this meant for both men moving forwards, well guess what, it means they've both walked straight Trace Demon's new regime with a black stain on their names. So as he has done for many of the competitors who were out to ruin him at Battleground Trace Demon has laid down the law and pitted the two tag team partners against each other in singles action this week on Revolution. It's a huge match for both men. Thunder is attempting to reinvigorate his career following his disappointing final few months last time out while Ace Bennett looks to prove that not only can he still hang with the very best the WFWF has to offer but that he is also a changed man. It's a must win for both of these fine competitors but guess what? In the WFWF there can only be one winner, and they're going to have to earn it.
SINGLES ACTION
Reverend Shadow vs. Dave Demento
Two men who had a notable Battleground pay per view were Reverend Shadow and Dave Demento, so it comes as no surprise that the two men will step into the ring together this week at Revolution. Dave Demento shocked the world when he turned on his long-time friend and mentor Randel Benjamin but the message was clear – Dave Demento is ready for the big time and he’s going to reach it on his own. To do that he’s going to have to beat a man widely considered a living legend of the WFWF, a former WFWF World Champion and a hall of famer in his own right, Reverend Shadow. Shadow made his shocking return at the last Revolution, siding with Trace Demon and later being a crucial part of Team Demon’s victory in the Battleground match. Now with Trace Demon is complete control Reverend Shadow has a very strong favour to call upon, but why is he back and what are his reasons for helping Trace Demon in the first place? Will it be the established veteran or the rapidly rising young gun who takes victory here and what will it mean for their roads to Scars & Stripes?
THE BEAST vs. THE FALLEN MADMAN
Beast Khan vs. Dex
Beast Khan has been on a roll since debuting in the WFWF, holding two victories including one over the hot property Ace Andrews. Now with Scars & Stripes coming up, and with it a chance for literally any man on the roster to book themselves a WFWF World Championship match at Superbrawl, the Beast will be looking to continue this run with a victory over the newcomer Dex. Of course that might not be as easy as it sounds because from what our scouts have dug up Dex is absolutely off his rocker. Thinking that he’s an Angel who fell from heaven itself Dex will probably give even the maddest of WFWF competitors, and there’s a few of them, a run for their money on the institutionalization markets. But before we section the poor guy we’re going to give him a chance to prove his worth in the ring first so if you need motivation Dex, you’ve got it. Two young newcomers with very little in the way of social skills face off, and while one of them will most definitely walk away with a victory the real winner will be the WFWF psychiatrist who might just have two new clients on her books.
OPENING CONTEST
Ace Andrews vs. Beau Bowens
What can we say about this match that doesn’t revolve around the fact that both of these guys lost at Battleground and need to step up their games if they want to keep hanging in the WFWF? Nope, that sums it up pretty well actually. Ace Andrews got a lot of hype when he came to the WFWF, not least for his close association with Trace Demon, but he’s gone 0 for 2 so far and he desperately needs a win if he doesn’t want to be known as one of the all-time flops ever to grace a WFWF ring. Beau Bowens on the other hand had a lot less expectation put upon him but still failed to set the world alight in his debut and also needs to grab a victory if he doesn’t want to be left at the bottom of the pile. There’s more than the usual victory on the line in this match, but which man walks away with the career saving victory and who remains the company loser for another week?
