At this time, the feeling is that Brock Lesnar's SummerSlam match with CM Punk will be his last in ring appearance until WrestleMania.
Lesnar's contract reportedly calls for three matches in a contract year, and with him wrestling once at Extreme Rules, unless a change to the deal is made Lesnar will have an extended time off until the build to WrestleMania.

Wonder whats next for Punk after Summerslam then

Would be cool if Punk & Kingston reformed as a tag team for a while after Summerslam,to fight the shield or something

I don't think Punk will just stop feuding with Heyman. So it'll either be onto Curtis Axel, or Heyman will recruit some new guys.

My best guess is just like with Triple H, the rematch will happen at Mania. Of course this would ruin everyone's precious desire to see Lesnar face Rock or Undertaker. Personally I'd rather see a rematch with Punk since Punk/Austin will never happen at this rate.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Team Punk vs Team Heyman at Survivor Series with Lesnar taking a part of it, honestly.

Only 3 matches a year? Wow. I was at least hoping for Lesnar to wrestle at Survivor Series.

I think this pretty much confirms Punk will be winning at SummerSlam.

Brock did an interview with LA Times and says he has "atleast a couple more Wrestlemanias left in the tank" before finishing up.

Brock did an interview with LA Times and says he has "atleast a couple more Wrestlemanias left in the tank" before finishing up. Well his contract runs through Mania 30 and 31, so that makes sense. When you work 3 matches a year and you're only 36 and you have a fraction of the miles most guys in his position do or should, it's a safe bet that he'll take that payday as long as Vince will give it to him. Punk should beat Brock and move onto Axel and make the IC Title feel important for a PPV or two. I'm also cool with Heyman adding another client. If Heyman is really looking for a way to stick it to Punk, turning Kofi heel and joining Heyman would be a fun route to go. It could help elevate Kofi and I'm sure they'd love to feud with each other. I've said myself that I don't think they should turn Kofi heel because he gets over with WWE putting zero effort behind him, but it would be in Kofi's best interest to take a risk imo. Kofi could pull an "I've been in your shadow long enough" promo and go after Punk and Heyman could be the guy sort of brainwashing Kofi. Probably a really outside shot of happening but it makes sense in my mind. Punk seems to be dictating his own pace right now since he's gotten to work with Jericho, Heyman and now Brock, so working with Kofi or trying to help Kofi seems like the next step for him.

If this is the case, there goes the HIAC rematch.

Hopefully WWE gets a deal with Stone Cold so that can happen at WM XXX.

Kofi is one of those guys that I just can't see as a heel. He would have to undergo quite a drastic character change for it to work, and I just don't have the faith that the creative team could pull it off. I also think that Punk is way above fueding for the IC Title at this point in his career. The guy has the longest reigning WWE Title reign in the modern era and then a few months later he's chasing the Intercontinental Title? Just doesn't make sense to me. If anything, have Punk cost Axel the Intercontinental Title and then the two can work a program together.

If this was The Rock, y'all would be hating. I see no real Lesnar hate in here, not that it's needed but 3 matches a year and he's got one of the big matches of the night? ok..

Hope Punk wins at Summer Slam and that is that for them but I do doubt it. I just want to see Punk/Austin and Rock/Brock at Mania30 LOL

The Miz was one of the few WWE Champions to ever successfully defend the belt at Wrestlemania, and they actually let him beat Cena. Just a few months later, he was being beaten was his lackey. Don't underestimate how random their booking can be.
