Still hate you for graphically cheating on me but anyway, I personally enjoyed the real-life John Cena/Kane feud, so this looks interesting but with Cena calling out Jericho, perhaps we will see Jericho cost Cena at Elimination Chamber? Not a Ryder fan however, and would like to see someone else claim the United States Championship. Interesting to see him in the Chamber though, although he clearly isn't going anywhere near the victory. Kofi Kingston qualifying for the Chamber is always good, he gets some good spots in them usually. Wade Barrett over Santino Marella is an obvious choice, will be interesting to see Barrett's feud with Orton develop and where it leads in terms of WrestleMania for both men. Jack Swagger breaking from Dolph Ziggler is a good move, perhaps we could see Swagger seek an alliance with Zeb Colter? I think the "real American" gimmick has done him wonders in reality, it could also work here. Lots going on in this first-hour main event, Jericho over Orton as per Barrett distraction makes sense. John Cena running out follows up from earlier, and that's a huge match made for next week's Raw. An interesting MizTV with R-Truth, I think a good feud could brew between these two. Brodus Clay qualifying for the Elimination Chamber Match is huge! I'm a Clay fan, I think he could go far in the Chamber, but he isn't going to win. Tamina/Beth Phoenix is a great match to think about. Two Divas that can actually have a proper match. A good main event with the babyfaces picking up the victory. But Zack Ryder looking like a serious competitor makes me laugh, however over he was at this point in time. I do hope that he doesn't win your Chamber, that would be a serious disappointment.

February 10th, 2012 | BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma- Tulsa, Oklahoma is rocking for tonight’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown! Booker T and Josh Matthews welcome the WWE Universe to tonight’s show and announce tonight’s monumental main event. The six competitors from the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, will do battle in a Six Pack Challenge and the winner will earn the right to enter the Chamber last of the six participants!
- Before we can go any further, Wade Barrett’s theme hits as he makes his way down to the ring. Barrett has been in a foul mood since losing to Ted Dibiase last week and it shows as he gets on the microphone. Barrett says that last week, he lost a chance to qualify for the Elimination Chamber and it’s not because Ted Dibiase is better than him. It’s because Randy Orton is afraid of him. Orton was so afraid of Barrett qualifying and winning the World Heavyweight Title that he cost him his match last week. He knows that Orton doesn’t want to use his WrestleMania Title shot on a match with him because he will ultimately lose. He calls out Randy Orton right now because he has a proposition for him.
- Randy Orton answers the call as he comes down the ramp. He gets in the ring and says he wants to get something straight first. He is not afraid of Wade Barrett. He says that if he was scared and Barrett would’ve won the World Title, he would just challenge for the WWE Title, but that’s not the case. He will make his decision at Elimination Chamber, but he’s interested in hearing this proposition. Barrett wants him to prove that he isn’t scared by facing him once more at Elimination Chamber. Orton says that he has no problem with that, but Barrett wants more. He wants Orton to put his WrestleMania title shot on the line. Orton laughs because he has already stated that he’s not going to put his shot on the line. Barrett continues to try and goad him, but Orton has a counter offer. He says that he won’t put his title shot on the line, but if Barrett can beat him, he can be added to Orton’s title match at WrestleMania. Barrett quickly agrees, but Orton adds one more thing. If Orton wins, Barrett is not allowed to challenge for the WWE Title until 2013. Barrett starts to decline, but Orton says he already accepted and that he will see him at Elimination Chamber. Orton exits the ring as we cut away.
- ===Commercial Break===
- We return to see Wade Barrett enter Theodore Long’s office. He demands to have the stipulation of him not getting a title shot until 2013 if he loses taken away. Long simply tells him that it’s only fair if both Barrett and Orton get something they want if one of them wins, so all Barrett has to do is win. Barrett goes to walk off, but Long stops him and says that even though John Laurinaitis is running Smackdown next week, he’s going to run Raw. So tonight and this coming Monday, Orton and Barrett will engage in “Pick Your Poison”. Tonight, Orton will pick Barrett’s opponent and Wade can pick one for him on Raw. Barrett doesn’t seem to mind this as he leaves.
- Goldust def. Drew McIntyre >> Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes was on commentary for this and kept making mention of how he will end the bizarre career of his brother. Meanwhile, Goldust and McIntyre were having a solid match as Goldust continues to impress this late in his career. After a few good minutes, he picked up the victory with the Curtain Call.
- After the match, Cody Rhodes puts down his headset and goes to enter the ring. Goldust turns and sees him before he can sneak in, stopping Cody in his tracks. Goldust grabs a microphone and says that he has something he wanted to inform Cody of. Next week, right here on Smackdown, their father Dusty Rhodes will be in attendance and he says he has some words for Cody. Cody looks shocked at this news as Goldust continues. He says that regardless of what their dad’s reasons are for coming to Smackdown next week, at Elimination Chamber he will win the Intercontinental Title and Cody will never forget the name of…Goldust.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Tamina def. Natalya >> Here we were treated to a different kind of Divas match tonight. Tamina and Natalya are two of the strongest Divas on the roster and because of this, the style of this match was a bit different. It was a nice change of pace as the two second-generation Divas impressed until Tamina got the win with a Superkick.
- The announcers remind us of Tamina’s win in Monday’s eight Diva tag match and announce that she may be next in line to challenge Beth Phoenix for the Divas Championship
- We are taken back to Teddy Long’s office, where he is with Hornswoggle and Aksana. He asks Aksana to join him on Raw this week when Heath Slater enters. Slater says that he is tired of waiting in the wings and that it’s time for the “One Man Band” to shine. He says that he wants a title shot and before Long can answer; Hornswoggle laughs. Slater gets mad at this and shouts at Hornswoggle to shut up. He then says that if Hornswoggle is so tough, he’ll meet him in the ring later. Long stops this in its tracks, but says that Slater can wrestle tonight, just not for any Championship until he earns a shot. He can start earning it by winning against an opponent of Hornswoggle’s choosing. Slater tells Hornswoggle to bring whoever he wants because it’s Slater time.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Pick Your Poison: Wade Barrett def. Ezekiel Jackson >> Randy Orton found an opponent for Wade Barrett pretty quickly and it was Barrett’s former Corre teammate, Ezekiel Jackson. They had some history besides that as well as Jackson once took the Intercontinental Title from Barrett. Jackson showed off his impressive strength throughout the contest, but Barrett managed to come away with the win after connecting with the Wasteland.
- Wade Barrett celebrated his victory and he picked up some momentum heading into his big match with Randy Orton.
- ===Commercial Break===
- We are joined by the World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan, when we return. He enters the ring along with AJ Lee and gets a microphone. He starts by saying that things have been very unjust since he became the World Heavyweight Champion. He was put into unfair Title matches against Mark Henry and Big Show, followed by having to beat both of them at once at the Royal Rumble. Bryan calls Teddy Long the most unfair and unfit General Manager in WWE history and, despite him overcoming the odds at every turn, he cannot wait for Mr. John Laurinaitis to run Smackdown next week. Bryan goes on to complain about having to defend his belt again in the Elimination Chamber. He is cut off by the theme song of the “Captain Charisma” Christian. Christian tells Bryan to quit his whining. He admits that when he was World Heavyweight Champion, he got into the habit of saying things were unfair, but that is just what happens when you’re at the top of the food chain. He says that Bryan better be prepared for the Elimination Chamber, because Christian misses being the World Champion and plans on winning it again in less than two weeks. Before Bryan can give a retort, the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus interrupts.
- Sheamus says that he’s had a longer drought since being Champion and he promises to gain the belt again. He reminds us that he’s defeated Christian before and he mentions that the last time Bryan was any sort of Champion, the United States Champion; it was Sheamus who beat him for it. Bryan begins to shout “No!” at the top of his lungs until Ted Dibiase’s theme hits. Dibiase admits to being the dark horse in this upcoming Elimination Chamber but wrestling and success is in his blood and he wants to do what his father unfortunately couldn’t and that’s win the World Title. He says that he can do it behind the “Dibiase Posse”. This gets a nice hand from the WWE Universe, but as expected, Big Show’s theme hits to continue the trend of Chamber participants coming out. Before he can get a word out though, Mark Henry attacks him from behind and they begin to brawl. Meanwhile, in the ring, the four others start to go at it until officials come down to break it up. Daniel Bryan escapes rather quickly though and manages to avoid the pull apart brawl between the rest of the Elimination Chamber participants.
- ===Commercial Break===
- The Usos def. Hunico & Camacho >> The Usos debuted a new entrance today involving some kind of Samoan dance and the crowd was pretty into it despite being a bit confused at the start. The match itself was solid, as basic tag formula was used. Jey Uso managed to get the hot tag near the end and came in on fire. He took control, nailed Hunico with a Samoan drop and tagged in Jimmy. Jey launched himself to the outside and nailed Camacho while Jimmy connected with a splash on Hunico for the win.
- Theodore Long’s office is shown and Randy Orton enters, saying that Teddy wanted to see him. Long says that he just got word that this Monday night on Raw, the “poison” that Barrett has selected for Randy Orton is the “Big Red Machine” Kane! Orton doesn’t like the sound of it, but also doesn’t look scared. He thanks Long and heads out.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Heath Slater is in the ring when we return with a microphone in hand. He says that he wanted to wrestle that little pipsqueak Hornswoggle, but he was too chicken to fight him alone so he’s out here, ready to see who Hornswoggle got to fight for him, if anyone.
- The Great Khali w/ Hornswoggle def. Heath Slater >> Heath Slater looked like this was the last thing that he wanted when he found out The Great Khali was his opponent. Hornswoggle laughed loudly but the match itself was pretty much a filler squash. Slater failed at most of his offense and lost to the Khali Chop.
- After the match, Hornswoggle got into the ring and celebrated by dancing with Khali. Slater began to slowly get up and Hornswoggle nailed him with his own mini version of a Khali Chop.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Six Pack Challenge: Mark Henry def. Big Show, Christian, World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan w/ AJ Lee, Sheamus and Ted Dibiase >> The announcers mention that this is one fall to a finish and not elimination like a Six Pack Challenge normally would be. This got a lot of time and if it’s any indication of what the Chamber will be like, we’re in for a treat. As the match began Henry and Show clearly wanted to continue their issues as they went right for each other. Sheamus and Bryan paired off while Christian and Dibiase did the same. They eventually switched pairings and went back and forth for a while. Each man got a few near falls but it would be broken up by someone else. Near the end, Show battled with Sheamus outside, leaving the other four men in the ring. Bryan managed to lock Dibiase in the LeBelle Lock, and Henry dropped Christian with the World’s Strongest Slam. Dibiase would not tap out, Bryan let go and ran to Henry, only to be leveled with a clothesline. Henry then pinned Christian to pick up the win.
- The announcers put over how a monster like Mark Henry now has the right to enter the Elimination Chamber last, which gives him a huge advantage over everyone else. Henry leaves up the ramp with his arms raised high as the other Chamber participants look on and aren’t happy.

Breaking News!
- This Monday night on Raw, live from San Diego, California will feature the return of The Undertaker! The WWE Universe has not seen "The Phenom" since his victory over Triple H at WrestleMania XXVII when he improved his WrestleMania record streak to 19-0. There is no telling what The Undertaker has in store for us when he returns this Monday!
- Plus, Theodore Long, Smackdown's General Manager, will be running the show in place of John Laurinaitis as part of their General Manager swap this week to show which GM is superior. Already announced by Mr. Long is a Six Pack Challenge, just like we saw on Smackdown, between the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber participants with the winner getting to enter the Chamber last! The stakes are high on Raw!
- Add all of this to a Raw that's already going to include Randy Orton taking on Kane and Chris Jericho stepping into the ring with John Cena and we are in for one hell of a ride this Monday!

Good opening promo for Smackdown, interesting stipulation for the match between Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett. I feel like you might put Barrett in the match, though, seeing as how you've been pushing him. That, or he'll get a push regardless afterward. We'll see. Goldust defeating Drew McIntyre comes no surprise coming into the match with Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber. I'm certainly intrigued by that match up. Is it Slater time though? Wade Barrett getting the win over Zeke comes as no surprise, but an interesting opponent to go against him. Nice promo between the Elimination Chamber participants, although I do see Bryan keeping the belt at the pay-per-view. Seems a little awkward to have a promo in the halfway point with a main event coming up, but I'll let it slide. 'Cause you're Kev. The Usos getting the win comes as no surprise, Hunico and Camacho really never did anything for me. Wade Barrett selecting Kane as Orton's opponent is certainly interesting and should give Orton a run for his money. The Great Khali with Hornswoggle, oh lord. Basically a comedic match here against the ONE MAAAANNN BAAAAANDDDD BAAAAYYYYBAAAAYYYYYY! Finally, an interesting main event featuring the participants in the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber with Mark Henry getting the win. I like the idea of him winning, as it makes him seem a bit more legit heading into the match and entering last certainly gives him the advantage. A solid show. Good to have you back.

Glad to see this diary picking back up again. It was a good Smackdown and storylines seem to be building up well towards Elimination Chamber and eventually Wrestlemania.

February 13th, 2012 | Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California- We begin with the usual WWE signature video and Raw intro video before being taken to Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler, who welcome us to the show. They promote the Six Pack Challenge, Chris Jericho going one on one with John Cena, Theodore Long running things and the return of The Undertaker! Before any of that though, we are kicking things off with a bang!
- Pick Your Poison: Randy Orton def. Kane >> The crowd is buzzing for tonight as they know we are in store for a big show. Kane and Orton got things started with a pretty vicious contest as they went toe to toe in a fight. That’s right, this was no technical wrestling showcase as they two went in to brawl. After about eight minutes of action, Orton seemed to be setting up for the RKO but Kane shoved him off and into the corner. Kane then set up Orton for the Tombstone, but Orton wriggled free, turned Kane around and connected with the RKO!
- Orton begins to celebrate his huge victory as his momentum continues heading into Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania XXVIII. Wade Barrett rushes down to the ring for a sneak attack but Orton sees him coming and catches him with an instant RKO! The crowd goes nuts at this as Randy Orton is on fire!
- ===Commercial Break===
- The theme song of the Mexican Aristocrat hits as Alberto Del Rio makes his way down the aisle to a chorus of boos. He gets in the ring and begins to talk about the Elimination Chamber. He says that he’s never been in one before due to him winning the Royal Rumble last year and not needing to be part of it, but he knows that he is the best wrestler in the match. However, he is upset that he hasn’t gotten a fair one on one rematch for his WWE Title. At TLC The Miz decided to get involved and make it a Triple Threat match and now he gets another shot but with four other superstars. CM Punk’s theme cuts him off as the WWE Champion joins us. He mocks Del Rio for complaining and says that if Del Rio got a one on one title shot, he’d just lose like he did at Survivor Series. Also, he’s not the best wrestler in the Chamber, because CM Punk is. He’s the best in the world and having the WWE Title is more than enough proof of that. This looked like it was headed the same way it did on Smackdown with all of the participants coming out as we are now joined by Dolph Ziggler.
- Dolph Ziggler tells both of them to shut up because the WWE Title should be his. Alberto Del Rio lost it and CM Punk has been lucky enough to steal victories from him and retain his gold. Ziggler promises that this Sunday will finally be his night to take his rightful spot atop the WWE. His theme song speaks the truth when it says that he is here to show the world. Now, Kofi Kingston joins us as one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions says that unlike Del Rio, he has been in the Elimination Chamber before and people seem to think he’s just there to provide some highlights but never win. That’s not the case this year and he badly wants to realize his dream of winning the WWE Championship. Of course, Zack Ryder’s theme hits as the United States Champions also joins us. He agrees with Kofi Kingston on the aspect of wanting to realize the dream of being WWE Champion. He’s already making dreams come true by winning the United States Title and going on a date with Eve and he feels like his hot streak is going to continue. Brodus Clay now joins us as we hear the big man speak for the first time. He first addresses Del Rio, saying that last year he was a body guard for Del Rio and when he realized that wasn’t enough for him, he had to go away and get his mind clear before coming back. Now, he’s better than ever and he’s not in the Elimination Chamber to realize some dream or prove that he’s the best. He’s in it to hurt people and take the WWE Title simply because he wants it and when he wants something, he literally takes it. As he ends that speech, he levels CM Punk and that sets off a big brawl between all six men. Things go to the outside for everyone except Kingston, who runs off the ropes and launches to the outside with a huge dive that gets the crowd roaring. Officials break it up as we cut away.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Non-Title Match: Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes def. WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne >> With Kofi Kingston involved in the Elimination Chamber and the Six Pack Challenge tonight, Evan Bourne tried his hand at some singles action tonight. Cody Rhodes is gearing up for a big match with his brother this Sunday, and may have been focused on that as Bourne picked up numerous near falls in this fast paced contest. At one point, he even went to the top for AirBourne, but Rhodes hit the ropes and he came crashing down. As he got up, he was nailed with the Beautiful Disaster and Cody picked up the win.
- We cut to the back where Scott Stanford is standing by with John Cena. She asks him if he will be able to keep his focus tonight with Kane on his mind. Cena says that he wants his hands on Kane badly, but that doesn’t mean that he will look past Chris Jericho. He knows that Jericho is a tough competitor and Jericho attacked him a few weeks back so Cena promises to make him pay tonight and to make Kane burn this Sunday.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Chris Jericho def. John Cena via countout >> Chris Jericho is still sporting his new attire of long tights and black tape on his fists and he continues to display a viciousness that we’ve never seen from him before. He attacked Cena with stiff shots and a slew of brutal kicks. He controlled most of the contest until Cena made the heroic face comeback and was beginning to set up for the Attitude Adjustment as Jericho was stirring. Suddenly Kane’s voice is heard and he’s shown on the titantron. He tells Cena that he has something to show him. The camera pans out and we see that Kane is in what looks like a boiler room and Zack Ryder is hunched over hurt next to him. Kane hoists him up and tosses him off of a ledge in the boiler room! When the camera looks down, all we see is Ryder unconscious on the floor below. Cena leaves the ring and runs to the back to try and help his friend. The referee counts him out as we go to commercial.
- ===Commercial Break===
- We return to see John Cena looking for Zack Ryder. He finds the boiler room after someone points him in the right direction and he finds Ryder out cold. Cena calls for help and looks to be truly worried for his close friend.
- We are taken to the ring where tonight’s acting General Manager Theodore Long is standing in the ring. He thanks the WWE Universe for allowing him to run Monday Night Raw. He then says that he did his very best to make sure that tonight will be special. He hypes up the Six Pack Challenge before reminding everyone that The Undertaker will be here tonight! The crowd eats that up, but Long gets cut off by the sound of “Awweeeesooome!” The Miz comes down to the ring and begins to do his trademark “really?” stuff. After a few of those, he gets in the ring and says that he cannot believe Mr. Laurinaitis would allow Raw to be run by Theodore Long. The Miz remembers his time on Smackdown and how he hated working for him. He claims that Long is an abysmal leader and that he is incompetent. Long goes to say something but David Otunga makes his way to the ring, agreeing with Miz. Otunga says that it is an honor to work side by side with Mr. John Laurinaitis, but he can’t ever see himself assisting someone like Teddy Long. Long smirks and says that he doesn’t need a stooge. The crowd laughs at this and Otunga is furious. He takes a step towards Long but Miz stops him. Long says that he can’t please everyone but he feels that he’s a good General Manager and so do Miz and Otunga’s opponents. Miz and Otunga look confused and asks what match Long is talking about. Teddy says that they will team up right now to face two of his Smackdown guys, Sheamus and The Big Show! The crowd likes the sound of this as Miz and Otunga are fuming.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Big Show and Sheamus def. David Otunga and The Miz >> This wasn’t the best of tag matches as it didn’t get a lot of time and none of the guys seemed that into it sadly. After a bit of action, R-Truth walked down to the ring. The Miz was on the apron and saw this so he backed off the apron and away from Truth. Truth began to run at him and Miz escaped through the crowd. That allowed Sheamus to connect with a Brogue Kick for the win.
- Michael Cole announces that the second inductee to the 2012 Hall of Fame is going to be revealed when we return!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Joining Edge in the 2012 Hall of Fame class will be none other than the only 7 time Women’s Champion in WWE history, Trish Stratus! A video package highlighting her career is shown and the announcers put her over. They then get a more serious tone and inform us that Zack Ryder has been taken to the hospital and he will not be able to compete in the Six Pack Challenge tonight.
- Six Person Tag Team Match: The Usos and Tamina def. Primo, Epico & Rosa Mendes >> The interactions between The Usos and Primo & Epico were fun and fast paced as they are two of the top tag teams on the roster. However, Tamina just dominated Rosa as she continues to run through the Divas division. Divas Champion Beth Phoenix was on commentary because it was announced that she will defend her title against Tamina, the last Diva left for her to defeat, next Monday. As The Usos nailed Primo and Epico with dueling dives to the outside, Tamina splashed Rosa for the win.
- The winners celebrated as The Usos continue to roll and so does Tamina. Tamina points at Beth Phoenix and motions that she’s going to take the belt next week.
- We now see John Cena packing his bag and getting ready to leave when Eve comes up to him. She looks worried and says that she hasn’t been able to get in touch with anyone and that she’s freaking out about what happened to Zack earlier because she really likes him. Cena tries to calm her down and says that he’s on his way to see Zack now and she can come with him. He vows to make Kane pay for this.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Five Pack Challenge: Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez def. WWE Champion CM Punk, WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston, Brodus Clay and Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero >> A notch below the match we saw on Smackdown but that might have been because there were only five men involved in this one. That meant that at least one guy kind of had to lie around while the rest paired off. Regardless, it was still fun and very competitive. Brodus Clay didn’t look out of place with the established players like the other four which helped out. The end sequence was a furious barrage of finishing moves. It began with Punk hitting the GTS on Del Rio, only to be hit with the Fall of Humanity from Clay. Clay was then hit with the Zig Zag only for Ziggler to turn around into Trouble in Paradise. Kingston went for the cover, but Del Rio managed to roll him up for the surprising 1-2-3!
- Alberto Del Rio rolled out of the ring, still feeling the effects of the Go to Sleep. He was helped by Ricardo Rodriguez as they celebrated that Del Rio now has the advantage of entering the Elimination Chamber last. The cameras cut to the back where Theodore Long is watching on a monitor with Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle looks like he’s enjoying himself and Long tells him that he’s had a good time running Raw, but he hopes John Laurinaitis doesn’t go on a power trip this Friday. He hypes up the fact that the best way to end tonight is with The Undertaker which is coming up next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- The lights go out once we return and the signature gong is heard as The Undertaker makes his return to the WWE. He makes his slow walk to the ring for the first time since WrestleMania where he survived a hellacious contest with Triple H. The Undertaker gets in the ring and begins to speak. He says that last year he faced one of the toughest challenges that he’s ever faced with the streak on the line but he was able to keep it intact. He says that the respect he has for Triple H only grew but his new focus is on WrestleMania XXVIII. He knows that like Shawn Michaels and Triple H, there are always people looking to try and end the streak. Before he can go any further though, the lights go completely out again. They stay off for about thirty seconds and when they come back on; Chris Jericho is standing behind The Undertaker and levels him with a steel chair in the back. He continues to hit The Undertaker as he’s down with each shot getting more vicious. Jericho raises the chair in the air and picks up the microphone. He says that The Undertaker is right, someone does want to end the streak and his name is Chris Jericho. The crowd boos loudly as the slow version of “Break The Walls Down” plays while the last image we see is Jericho standing over a fallen Undertaker.

2/14/12 Edition
- Jack Swagger ending his association with Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler will allow him to leave TV for a while. He'll most likely be gone until after WrestleMania as he will be re-packaged and should be set for a mild push upon his return.
- Expect to see the mid card titles focused on at WrestleMania unlike many previous years. Current plans have the United States, Intercontinental and Tag Team Titles being defended at the Show of Shows.
- Current plans have Dolph Ziggler going up against Mick Foley at WrestleMania. Foley has said that he wanted to work WrestleMania and he hand picked Dolph as he feels that he is a budding Superstar who could benefit from a program with him.
- There are rumors that a big faction should be coming in the near future. No word on who will be involved though.

February 17th, 2012 | Save Mart Center at Fresno State in Fresno, California- After the WWE signature we are taken instantly to a shot of John Laurinaitis. He says that tonight will be a special Smackdown because he’s running the show tonight. He says that in the interest of something he calls “People Power”; he’s going to set up a great show for the fans tonight. We are then taken to the Smackdown intro video, followed by Josh Matthews, Booker T and Michael Cole welcoming us to another big edition of Smackdown. They hype up the fact that we’re going to see the six participants in the World Heavyweight Title Elimination Chamber match compete in three singles matches, including one to open the broadcast.
- Ted Dibiase def. Mark Henry >> Ted Dibiase once again shocks the world just like he did a few weeks back when he beat Wade Barrett. He was the obvious underdog coming into this contest and Henry made it look like it was going to be rather one sided early on. He beat down on Dibiase throughout, but Dibiase wouldn’t quit. He began to make a comeback with his trademark clothesline and even managed to lock in the Million Dollar Dream. Henry broke that and got Dibiase down. He climbed to the second rope for a slingshot splash, but Dibiase moved out of the way. With Henry hurt from crashing to the mat, Dibiase quickly rolled him up and got the three!
- The crowd was stunned as Dibiase quickly got out of dodge and raised his arms high in the air. The Dibiase Posse celebrated along with him and Dibiase continues to show that he has as good a chance as anyone in the Elimination Chamber.

- “Voices” is heard as 2012 Royal Rumble winner, Randy Orton, comes down to the ring to a big ovation from the WWE Universe. He gets in the ring and begins to speak about last week’s Pick Your Poison matches. He gives Barrett kudos for beating Ezekiel Jackson but points out that Wade’s attempt at a “poison” for Orton failed as well when he beat Kane on Raw. He says that there is no poison for the Viper and this Sunday, he won’t be stopped. Before he can continue, he is cut off by John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis says that this was the time he set aside to speak to the WWE Universe, so he’d like for Randy Orton to kindly leave the ring. Orton doesn’t move and says that he’s not done saying his piece. Laurinaitis says that he is in charge and will not tolerate insubordination. Orton again says that he’s not going anywhere. Laurinaitis is upset now and says that warned him. Now, he’s going to book Orton in a match tonight. On one side we will have Wade Barrett and John Laurinaitis’ assistant, David Otunga and on the other will be Orton and a partner of his choosing. Laurinaitis wishes him good luck in finding someone to team with since he has no friends.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Tamina def. Alicia Fox >> Pretty typical Divas match here as it wasn’t given much time and was rather one sided. Tamina continues to dominate and picked up one more victory before heading into the biggest match of her career this Monday against “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix.
- World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan is now shown backstage with AJ Lee. He is watching footage of a Sheamus match, when AJ asks him if they’re going out this week at all. Bryan ignores her so she asks again and he gets irritated. He says that he has to pay attention to this tape so he can find Sheamus’ weaknesses. He kind of shouts at her and she looks sad, but Bryan manages to recover and tells her that can go out after he retains the belt at Elimination Chamber. She cheers up a bit at this news.
- We cut to Mr. Laurinaitis’ office where David Otunga is getting ready for his tag team match later. A knock is heard and in steps Drew McIntyre. He shakes hands with tonight’s General Manager and says that he is happy to have John Laurinaitis on Smackdown because he is sick of Theodore Long. He backs Laurinaitis 100% because Long has continually threatened his job. John Laurinaitis thanks and says that he has an announcement to make at Elimination Chamber that may interest McIntyre but before that, he’d like to see McIntyre in action so he tells him that he has a match up next. He makes sure to mention that his job is not on the line.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Michael Cole and Josh Matthews inform us that Booker T has left the broadcast booth for something and they don’t know when he will return. They also give an update on Zack Ryder’s condition after Kane’s heinous assault on him this past Monday night. They announce that Ryder has suffered some internal bleeding, an injury to his back and some bruised ribs. The doctors consider Ryder very lucky and urge him not to compete this Sunday, however, Ryder tweeted that he will not miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime and he will be in the Elimination Chamber!
- Drew McIntyre def. Yoshi Tatsu >> Yoshi Tatsu doesn’t get much TV time unless it’s Superstars or nXt, but he can still go in the ring and this was a fun but short contest. He got in some offense, but it was clear that this match was put here to get McIntyre some momentum. He did just that after putting down Tatsu with the Future Shock.
- Cameron Lynn is standing by with the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. She asks him for his thoughts heading into tonight’s main event against the World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan. Sheamus says that he used to have a lot of respect for Bryan even back when they battled for the United States Championship last year. However, they’ve both changed and Sheamus likes to think that his change was for the better, while Bryan’s has been for the worse. He plans on beating him tonight and heading into the Elimination Chamber as the favorite.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Big Show def. Christian >> The only matchup between two faces in the three Elimination Chamber preview contests and it was decent. They played up the obvious big man against little man match and Christian fought valiantly. He used a sunset flip, frog splash and diving uppercut to help him throughout, but in the end, a well-timed WMD took out the former two time World Heavyweight Champion.
- Michael Cole and Josh Matthews now take us to the second inductee into the 2012 Hall of Fame! They remind us that Trish Stratus will be joining Edge in the historic WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania XXVIII.
- ===Commercial Break===
- The theme music of the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes hits as the WWE Hall of Famer comes out to a big pop from the WWE Universe. He gets in the ring and basks in the applause for a bit before speaking. He starts by saying that right now should be a time of happiness for the Rhodes’ family. Not only is Goldust, the eldest son, continuing his long career in the WWE, but his baby boy Cody is the Intercontinental Champion. These are times to be proud but instead Cody is being a brat and for some reason, just wants to end his brother’s career. He calls out the Intercontinental Champion and Cody obliges. When he gets in the ring, Dusty goes to hug him, but Cody stops him. Cody is handed a microphone and begins to say that his dad should be proud right now. He should be proud, happy and thankful that Cody is going to rid them of the family’s black sheep. He is going to end the Goldust façade once and for all. Dusty speaks now and says that when he first saw Dustin doing the Goldust stuff, he admits he wasn’t a fan. Some of what he did even shamed him. However, over time he has grown to be proud of a son who can be something as original and captivating as Goldust. Cody tells Dusty that he doesn’t know anything and should only be proud of the son who is going to be the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time.
- This brings Goldust out as the “Bizarre One” comes down to the ring and tells Cody not to speak to their dad like that. He says that their dad was able to accept him and he just wants Cody to do the same. Dusty says that he wants to be proud of both of them, but Cody’s actions of late have caused him to be ashamed of him now. Cody looks stunned at that and doesn’t want to believe it. He tells his dad that he really does know nothing if he can be proud of Dustin and not him. He is the successful one in the family, not the one who dresses in gold paint or the one who wears polka dots and dances like a buffoon. At that insult, Goldust levels him and continues to pound away with right hands. Dusty pulls him off as Cody begins to get up. Cody goes to hit Goldust with the belt, but Dusty steps in front. Cody stops in his tracks and looks around as Dusty pleads with him to stop this. Cody lowers the belt and goes to walk away, but instead turns back and nails his father! He flees out of the ring and up the ramp as Goldust is furious and checks on his father.
- ===Commercial Break===
- As we come back Goldust is in the back with EMTs and his father as they are working on him and checking to make sure he doesn’t have any long term injuries.
- Randy Orton & Booker T def. David Otunga & Wade Barrett >> It looks like the reason Booker T left the announce table was to go and discuss being Orton’s partner and they proved to be a pretty good team. Barrett and Orton’s interactions were the reason to watch this though as they were very aggressive and it showed that their match at Elimination Chamber should be awesome. Orton put down Otunga with an RKO for the victory.
- After the match, Wade Barrett chop blocked Randy Orton. He began to put the boots to Orton until Booker intervened. He began to trade shots with Barrett until Wade got the upper hand. Barrett knocked him to the outside and turned back to Orton, only to be caught with an RKO! Orton has now hit Barrett with an RKO on two straight shows!
- ===Commercial Break===
- John Laurinaitis is shown backstage as David Otunga makes it back to the office. Otunga apologizes for losing, but Laurinaitis says it’s alright. He made the match because it was a good idea and helped to make Smackdown a better show when he runs it and not Teddy Long. He again says that he cannot wait for the announcement at Elimination Chamber.
- The Usos def. Primo & Epico w/ Rosa Mendes >> One of the hottest teams in the WWE has been The Usos and they prevailed once again tonight. International Airstrike was on commentary during this contest and as expected, they stumbled through it as their promos still need work. However, The Usos won after Jey nailed a big splash on Epico.
- The Usos celebrated their victory until they were nailed from behind by two people. A closer glance reveals the men to be none other than Titus O’Neil and Darren Young! They had a rivalry on nXt, but have recently become partners. As they attacked The Usos, International Airstrike jumped into the ring to assist and we had a straight up rumble. Young and O’Neil would overcome though after Young hit Justin Gabriel with a vicious stomach breaker and O’Neil hit the Clash of the Titus on Tyson Kidd. Young and O’Neil stood tall in a surprising end to this tag team match.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Before our main event John Laurinaitis appears on screen saying he just got word from the WWE Board of Directors next week we will see Super Smackdown Live! A live version of Smackdown next Tuesday from Rockford, Illinois! He then announces that even though Theodore Long will be in charge for that, while he’s still in power tonight he will make a big match for that night. This Tuesday on Super Smackdown Live, we will see a Champion vs. Champion match when the WWE Champion takes on the World Heavyweight Champion, whoever they may be after the Elimination Chamber! The crowd goes wild as Super Smackdown sounds like it’s going to be a great night!
- Non-Title Match: Sheamus def. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan w/ AJ Lee via disqualification >> Much like their rivalry over the United States Championship last year, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan put on a very good match. Bryan began by using his technical acumen to gain the upper hand, but Sheamus fought back with his power game. He hit some of his trademark moves but Bryan managed to kick out of them. Sheamus began to beat on his chest and call for the Brogue Kick but when he attempted it, Bryan ducked down and nailed him with a blatant low blow causing the referee to call for the bell.
- Daniel Bryan quickly rolled out of the ring and AJ Lee brought him the World Heavyweight Title. Sheamus was furious in the ring as Bryan headed up the ramp. The announcers put over the fact that a low blow would be completely legal in the Elimination Chamber, however, Bryan won’t be able to escape. The final shot we get is of Bryan clutching the World Heavyweight Title.

Alright, I'll just shortly comment on Raw before replying to Smackdown... you had a pretty solid episode that built up for Elimination Chamber fairly well, and pitting Chris Jericho versus Undertaker at WrestleMania will be certainly be good.
Smackdown. A solid opening contest with Ted DiBiase managing to sneak win over Mark Henry is huge for him. However, I don't see either one of them managing to win at the pay-per-view. Decent promo from Orton with Laurinaitis setting up a tag match later on. Tamina beating Alicia Fox makes sense, seeing as how she has more relevance. I'm going to assume John Laurinaitis will announce the tag match or some form to go up against Teddy Long to determine the GM of both shows. Obvious win for Drew McIntyre here. I'm thinking either Sheamus will win cleanly or win by count out or disqualification or something in the main event later on. Big Show getting the win over Christian is fine. Yet again, I still see Bryan winning at the PPV. Great promo between Cody Rhodes and Goldust that just makes this personal and pushes Rhodes into an upper tier heel just on this alone by attacking his own father. Orton and FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME! WCW CHAMPION! BOOKER T! Nice win for them, gives Orton some solid momentum going into Sunda-- oh, Barrett fighting! Momentum Barr-- RKO! The Usos with the win. No surprise here. Titus O'Neill and Darren Young joining up in the brawl adds to the tag team division. Finally, Sheamus getting the win via disqualification doesn't surprise me as I don't see Bryan as a true fighting champion as a heel like he would be as a face. Looking forward to Elimination Chamber.

February 19th, 2012 | BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin- The WWE Signature flashes on the screen followed by a video package chronicling the brutal history of the Elimination Chamber. We then see images of the twelve superstars who will enter this demonic structure with the goal of being the WWE or World Heavyweight Champion. The video then shows the bitter feud between Wade Barrett and Randy Orton and how the stakes have never been higher than they will be tonight.
- Pyro shoots off to signal the beginning of tonight’s Pay-Per-View extravaganza. The announce team of Michael Cole, Josh Matthews and Booker T welcome us to the show and inform us that Jerry “The King” Lawler is ill and will not join us tonight. “This Means War” by Nickelback is heard as they run us through tonight’s biggest matches. Will Wade Barrett have to wait until 2013 for a Title shot or will he join the WrestleMania main event? Can CM Punk and Daniel Bryan retain their precious titles in the hellacious Elimination Chamber? Will John Cena embrace the hate or gain revenge for his friend Zack Ryder?
World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Daniel Bryan [c] vs. Big Show vs. Christian vs. Mark Henry vs. Sheamus vs. Ted Dibiase
The first four Superstars come down to the ring and get into their respective chambers and we know that Mark Henry will be the final man into the match tonight. Ted Dibiase followed to a nice hand as he will be one of the two superstars to begin tonight. Following him was the World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, who got a mixed reaction. They locked horns to start and Bryan gained a quick advantage with his mat wrestling prowess. However, Dibiase proved to be no slouch as he ended up taking control with a high knee and a snap powerslam for a near fall. He stayed in control until he missed a second rope fist drop as the buzzer sounded and Sheamus joined us. He came in and took down both Dibiase and Bryan with some hard shots. He hit Dibiase with the Irish Curse and then nailed Bryan with the ten shots to the chest. Sheamus followed Bryan to the outside and Irish whipped him into the steel chains of the Chamber. Bryan tried to fight back with a dropkick but Sheamus caught him and slingshot him into the steel again! Sheamus entered the ring again as Big Show joined the fray and he clubbed him a few times in the back. Dibiase charged at him but was knocked down too. Show dominate for a bit more until the match began to split with Sheamus and Show brawling, while Bryan took control and locked Dibiase in a triangle choke. Dibiase made it to the ropes as Christian entered the match. Christian used some of his high flying ability to come in hot and take some control. Dibiase stopped that by hitting him with Dream Street. Bryan charged at him, but Dibiase ducked and hit him with Dream Street too. The crowd was firmly behind Dibiase as he was fired up. Unfortunately for him though, as he was just picking up steam, Mark Henry’s chamber opened at the twenty minute mark and he caught Dibiase with the World’s Strongest Slam to eliminate him. [20:44] Meanwhile, Big Show gorilla press slammed Bryan from the ring onto the steel floor outside in a nice spot. He was then hit from behind by Henry and these two behemoths continued their long rivalry with some hard hitting action. Sheamus locked Christian in a Cloverleaf on the other side of the ring while Bryan was recovering on the outside. Christian managed to reach the ropes while Show knocked out Henry with the WMD! Bryan chop blocked Show and covered Henry to get rid of him. [24:01] We are down to four as Bryan quickly got away from Show and began to go at it with Christian. Christian went for the Killswitch but Bryan reversed it into a tiger suplex for a near fall. As Bryan got up, Sheamus caught him with a Brogue Kick! He covered but Bryan somehow managed to get his foot on the bottom rope. Sheamus ended up brawling with Show again as Christian climbed to the top rope. He went even higher to the top of a chamber and attempted a frog splash off of it but Bryan moved. He then covered Christian to pick up his second elimination. [28:53] Bryan then rolled to the outside as Show and Sheamus continued to go at it but once they noticed Bryan avoiding contact, Show went after him outside. Show tossed him into the steel a few more times and Bryan was hurting. Sheamus began to signal that he was going for the Brogue Kick, but when he did, Bryan dodged it and sent Sheamus into the steel. He snuck back into the ring and Show went for the WMD, but again Bryan managed to dodge it as he dropped down and hit Show with a low blow. Bryan ran off the ropes and hit him with an elbow but he wouldn’t go down. Bryan did it again and Show began to stagger. Sheamus got back in and hit Show with a Brogue Kick to finally take him down. Sheamus then clotheslined Bryan and covered Show for a three count. [32:50] The crowd got very loud as it was now down to just Sheamus and Bryan and they could feel the winds of change. Sheamus picked up Bryan and hit the White Noise but only got a near fall. Sheamus went to pick him up but Bryan quickly pulled him into a small package to retain the gold! Winner and Still World Heavyweight Champion: Daniel Bryan [34:14] ***¾ - Sheamus and the WWE Universe were in shock as Daniel Bryan has once again slipped away with the World Heavyweight Title still intact. As the Chamber was raised, Sheamus slowly exited as Bryan was handed the belt. He realized that he had retained and raised his arms high in the air. The announcers put over his resilience in this match as he took a beating and kept on coming.
- The cameras cut to the back where John Laurinaitis is shown with David Otunga. Laurinaitis says that he’s excited to be here and to make his big announcement but he’s just waiting on Theodore Long as they have to make it together. Otunga wants to know what it is but Laurinaitis says he’ll find out when everyone else does because it’s worth the wait.
The Miz vs. R-TruthR-Truth and The Miz have had differences ever since The Miz attacked him and broke up their team of the Awesome Truth. As the bell rang Truth attempted to be aggressive, but The Miz would back into the corner and force R-Truth to back away. This happened twice and on the third time, Truth knocked him to the outside anyway. The Miz was upset on the outside but Truth followed him and began to give chase. Miz ran into the ring, Truth followed and Miz met him with some stomps. This bit of basic heel training 101 allowed Miz to take control in the early stages. He began to work on Truth’s neck with a front face lock, big boot and bulldog. Miz got a near fall after using his trademark snap DDT. Miz was beginning to get a bit frustrated and sent Truth into the corner. He ran in for his clothesline, but Truth moved and Miz crashed and burned. Truth ran in and nailed him with a dropkick and then began to take control. Truth would hit an inverted suplex, leg drop and then a scissors kick for a two count. Truth got the crowd firmly behind him as he seemed to gear up to hit the Lie Detector. He went for it but Miz blocked it by holding onto the ropes. As Truth got up, Miz connected with the Reality Check for another near fall. Miz now signaled for the Skull Crushing Finale, but when he grabbed Truth, Truth rolled forward into a pinning combination but Miz kicked out. As both men got up, Truth sent Miz into the corner where he accidentally collided with the referee. Miz came out and was hit with the Lie Detector. Truth covered but there was no referee and Miz was down for at least a five count. Truth goes to revive the official, but Mason Ryan shockingly rushes out and enters the ring. He grabs Truth and hits him with a big full nelson slam. He placed Miz on Truth and woke the referee, who counted the three. Winner: The Miz [8:49] **½
- The crowd and announcers were clearly surprised at the appearance of Mason Ryan who hasn’t been a big part of the roster since the New Nexus in 2011. He helps the Miz up and leaves with him as The Miz celebrates his triumph over his former partner. We are sure to get some answers about this tomorrow night on Raw.
- A video is now shown highlighting the announcement that Trish Stratus will be the next inductee into the 2012 Hall of Fame class, joining the “Rated R Superstar” Edge.
- Scott Stanford is standing by with the United States Champion, Zack Ryder. He asks Ryder about his condition heading into the Elimination Chamber tonight after showing the video of Kane’s assault on him. Ryder shows that his ribs are bandaged and says that he admits he’s not 100%. However, it’s been his dream to be the WWE Champion since he was a kid and tonight is his best opportunity to fulfill that dream. He has been on a roll lately and he will not let Kane put a stop to that. Woo woo woo, we know it.
- We get a short video package showing the issues between Cody Rhodes and Goldust. It focuses on Smackdown’s interaction between the two of them and their father and how Cody is ashamed of Goldust’s bizarre career in the WWE.
Intercontinental Championship Cody Rhodes [c] vs. Goldust Career vs. Title Match
There was clear tension in the air as the two brothers stood face to face before the bell rang just like last month at the Royal Rumble. When the bell rang, Cody went to slap his brother like he did at the Rumble, but Goldust blocked it and hit him with one of his own. Goldust tossed Cody over the top rope and followed, looking to beat some respect into his little brother. Goldust tossed him into the guardrail and dropped him face first on the apron. Goldust broke up the count and busted out a surprising front flip off the apron and onto Cody. That really got the crowd into it and Goldust riled them up even more. He rolled Cody back into the ring and covered for a near fall. Goldust sent Cody off the ropes, Cody bent down; Goldust dropped to the mat and nailed him with an uppercut. Goldust then got another pop from the crowd by using his father’s bionic elbow. Cody kicked out of a pin attempt, and Goldust se him up for Shattered Dreams but Cody got out before the move hit and he would hit a DDT. Cody then used his brother’s bulldog from the second rope and a gorgeous moonsault for near falls. Cody climbed to the top and connected with a huge missile dropkick but again Goldust kicked out. Cody waited for Goldust to get up and went for the Beautiful Disaster but Goldust hit him with a mid-air clothesline. He then placed Cody on the top rope and climbed to the second. He again surprised everyone when he hit a second rope hurricanrana! The crowd went wild as he covered but Cody barely got a shoulder up. Goldust set up for the Final Cut, but Cody reversed it into a Northern lights suplex. Cody connected with the Beautiful Disaster this time around and should’ve covered but instead he called for the Cross Rhodes. Dusty Rhodes now made his way down to the ring, which distracted Cody. He shouted for his dad to leave, which gave Goldust the time to roll him up for another near fall. As they got up, Goldust kicked him in the stomach and hit the Final Cut! Cody would somehow again get his shoulder up though. Goldust was in disbelief and decided to try another new move. He waited for Cody to get up and went for a Beautiful Disaster of his own! Cody managed to dodge it though and hit a Russian leg sweep. He followed that with an Alabama Slam and it was clear that the end was near. He set up Goldust for the Cross Rhodes and stared at his father who was pleading with Cody not to do this. Cody smiled and nailed his finisher to end it. Winner and Still Intercontinental Champion: Cody Rhodes [11:11] ***½
- Goldust pulled out all of the stops to save his career as he showed off new moves but it wasn’t enough. Dusty entered the ring to help Goldust up as Cody watched them from the outside with a smile. Goldust got up to a nice hand from the WWE Universe as Cody raised his Intercontinental Championship high in the air in the entrance. After he went to the back, Goldust said goodbye to the WWE Universe and left along with his father.
- A commercial for WrestleMania XXVIII airs reminding us that we will see a first time ever match when The Rock goes one on one with John Cena! Then the announce team informs us that the WWE Chief Operation Officer, “The Game” Triple H will return tomorrow night on Raw! There is no word on what he’s returning for however it’s sure to be something of importance. Also, we are reminded that this Tuesday night is Super Smackdown Live!
- A video package now airs focusing on the intense rivalry between John Cena and Kane, showing Kane’s return, their match at the Royal Rumble when Cena nearly embraced the hate and Kane’s attack on Zack Ryder last week.
Inferno Match Kane vs. John Cena
Before the referees could even turn the flames on, John Cena flew at Kane and began to hit him with some hard right hands. Cena sent Kane over the top and to the outside where they continued to brawl. Cena choked Kane with cables but Kane nailed him with the ring bell and threw him into the crowd. They traded big time shots in the crowd for a few minutes until making it back to the ring. Kane was in control as he put Cena in the ring and followed, finally allowing the officials to turn on the flames. Kane began to wear down Cena and targeted his back. He hit a side slam and a back breaker before dragging Cena towards the flames. Cena fought out of Kane’s grasp and hit him with a bulldog. Cena was in control now and wasn’t interested in wrestling as his focus was on hurting Kane. He avoided using some of his other signature moves like the hurricanrana he’s started using. Cena used a Lou Thez press and then took off the turnbuckle pad. He sent Kane into the exposed turnbuckle hard and had an intense look on his face. Cena hit a belly to belly suplex and then locked in the STFU! There are obviously no submissions in a match like this but Cena kept the hold locked in knowing the damage it was doing to Kane. He finally let go and pointed at the fire to signal that he was going to send Kane there. He picked Kane up and headed towards the flames but Kane grabbed Cena around the throat. He lifted him up and dropped him with a chokeslam. He picked Cena up and set him up for the Tombstone but Cena wriggled out of it and threw Kane over the top rope as he barely avoided the flames. Cena climbed to the top and went for his top rope leg drop bulldog but Kane moved and Cena hit the mat hard. Kane did his throat cut taunt and picked up Cena. He walked towards the fire with him but Cena quickly reversed and sent Kane’s right arm into the fire for victory. Winner: John Cena [12:03] **¼ - Kane’s fire was put out by the officials and he ran to the back. The crowd was pretty excited and Cena, after staring down Kane as he left, decided to celebrate with the WWE Universe. The announce team mentions how they feel like they’ve seen a bit of a different side from John Cena against Kane and it’s a more vicious and brutal side to be exact.
- We are taken to a video showing what happened when The Undertaker returned last week as he was attacked by Chris Jericho. Michael Cole informs us that we will hear from Chris Jericho tomorrow about his actions.
- John Laurinaitis, Teddy Long, David Otunga and Hornswoggle are in the ring as we are taken back there. Laurinaitis introduces himself as always and says that they have a huge announcement that he’s been excited about. Long says that himself and Mr. Laurinaitis have been having issues recently over who is the better General Manager. They’ve worked on each other’s shows and continue to bicker. The Board of Directors has decided that things need to be settled and the WWE needs only one General Manager to run both shows. Laurinaitis says that it has been decided that both General Managers will get to pick a team of six superstars and they will face off at WrestleMania with the winning team’s General Manager become the head of both shows. Laurinaitis announces the first member of his team, David Otunga! The crowd boos this as Long says that he also has his first member with him. Laurinaitis laughs at the thought of Hornswoggle on the team but Long says it’s not Hornswoggle. Booker T’s theme plays as the former five time World Champion stands up from the commentary table and the crowd goes wild. WrestleMania has a new match and the stakes are high. Speaking of high stakes, a video recap of the brutal rivalry between Wade Barrett and Randy Orton.
Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett [If Wade Barrett wins he is added to WrestleMania Title match. If Randy Orton wins, Barrett can't have a Title shot for a year.]At the tail end of 2011 these two wrestled consistently and they’ve developed a nice chemistry. We got a collar and elbow tie up to start, the first we’ve had all night, and Orton shoves Barrett down. This happens again and nearly does for a third time but Barrett rakes Orton in the eyes. He kept a slow pace to start the match with some headlocks and some other holds. He sent Orton into the corner and delivered multiple consecutive knees to the gut. Barrett hit a back breaker and went for a pin but only got a near fall. That would become a recurring theme throughout this match as Wade Barrett was looking to win in any possible way. He attempted pins after a big boot and after a suplex. Orton would use a well-timed European uppercut to stop Barrett’s momentum and allowed himself a breather after having to kick out so often. Barrett charged at him as he rested on the ropes and Orton back body dropped him to the outside. Orton rested a bit more but once Barrett got back to the apron, Orton met him with a kick and his trademark rope hung DDT for a near fall. He sent Barrett off the ropes and hit a snap powerslam for another near fall. Orton put Barrett in a headlock and slowed the pace like Barrett did earlier. After holding him there for a while he stomped on Barrett a few times and went for a jumping knee drop but Barrett moved out of the way. Wade nailed him with a stiff elbow smash that looked like it knocked Orton out. He went for the Wasteland but Orton elbowed his way out of it and hit his headlock backbreaker. Both men were down as the referee began to count. Orton was up first as the referee made it to seven and started to pound the mat for the RKO. The Viper went to strike but Barrett avoided it and rolled out of the ring. Orton went to go after him but Barrett tripped him up from the outside. He climbed to the top and connected with a big time elbow drop but got the Apex Predator somehow managed to get his shoulder up! Barrett was shocked and argued with the referee, which the announce team pointed out as a bad choice. He turned back to Orton who struck with an RKO from out of nowhere! Barrett instantly rolled out of the ring as Orton reached to pin him. The announcers put over how smart of a move this is. Both men were down for a bit again but Barrett got back onto the apron. He was again met with a kick and now the Viper was setting up for the rope DDT once again. However, Barrett got his feet off of the ropes and lifted Orton onto his shoulders before dropping him with the Wasteland! He covered and got the shockingly clean victory! Winner: Wade Barrett [14:14] ***½
- Wade Barrett has shocked the world tonight as he has defeated the WWE’s Apex Predator. He celebrates as the crowd boos and the announcers mention that he has now punched his ticket to a title match at WrestleMania! Randy Orton begins to stir and gives him a furious glare as Barrett smirks in his direction.
- Scott Stanford is standing by once again but this time, he’s with The Miz and Mason Ryan. He asks what this partnership is about. The Miz says that it should be obvious. He’s been basically stalked by R-Truth over the past few weeks and he decided to talk to Mason about helping him out. If R-Truth wants to get to him he has to go through Mason Ryan and that goes for anyone else who tries something.
- Nickelback’s “This Mean War” plays over a video showing highlights of the participants in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match. It shows CM Punk as champion, Dolph Ziggler’s hot streak as of late, Alberto Del Rio earning the final shot, Kofi Kingston’s highlights in previous Chamber matches, Zack Ryder’s rise to prominence and Brodus Clay’s dominance since his debut.
WWE Championship Elimination ChamberCM Punk [c] vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Brodus Clay vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston vs. United States Champion Zack RyderAlberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Brodus Clay and Kofi Kingston come out first and enter their chambers. We begin with the WWE Champion going up against the United States Champion as CM Punk and Zack Ryder locked up. Despite being friends, Punk wasted no time in focusing on Ryder’s taped up ribs. This was a sound strategy as the WWE Champion worked it over with a bow and arrow submission and some kicks to the midsection. Ryder ducked a clothesline and hit a swinging neckbreaker to shift the momentum in his favor. He sent Punk into the corner and hit the Broski Boot for a near fall. At this point the buzzer goes off and Brodus Clay enters the match. The tone of the match changed instantly as Clay came in with a vengeance. He rammed both Punk and Ryder with consecutive headbutts and knee lifts. He sent Ryder into the corner and charged at him with his full body squashing the United States Champion. He grabbed Ryder and nailed him with a belly-to-belly suplex but Ryder kicked out of the lateral press. The Mastodon of Mayhem continued to dominate as he put down Punk with a powerslam and then locked in a nerve hold. Dolph Ziggler entered as our fourth participant but Ryder was now up and caught him with the Rough Ryder! The crowd popped but he was still too hurt to make the cover instantly, so when he did go for it Ziggler kicked out. On the other side of the match, Punk managed to gain the upper hand on Clay and did his signature knee strike/bulldog combination. Punk climbed to the top but looked up and ended up going to the top of the chamber. He pointed high to the sky and dropped the Macho Man elbow drop onto Clay! He covered but Clay was able to get a shoulder up. Ryder and Ziggler continued to battle and Ryder went for the Rough Ryder again, only to have Ziggler duck and deliver the Zig Zag! He covered the United States Champion and eliminated him. [14:39] The announcers put over Ryder’s valiant effort despite injury here tonight as Kofi Kingston comes into the match. He is all over the place as he nails everyone involved and hits Ziggler with the Boom Drop for a near fall. Punk charged at Kingston but was met with a sick monkey flip that sent him to the outside and onto the steel. Kingston followed him out there and began to climb the structure. He leapt off and hit Punk with a huge Boom Drop as well but both men were clearly hurt. Clay gorilla press slammed Ziggler inside the ring and went for a pin but Ziggler kicked out. Alberto Del Rio’s chamber opened but he stayed away from the action. Kingston was up and went to springboard in the ring but Clay caught him in the midair with a headbutt! He followed that with the Shee-plex and eliminated one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions. [21:33] Dolph Ziggler now tried to convince Clay that they should work together to get rid of the Champion. Del Rio entered the ring and also tried to convince Clay of the same thing. As they’re discussing this, Punk springboards into the ring and takes out Del Rio with a clothesline. Clay turns to this but Ziggler sneakily hits him with the Zig Zag! He covers and puts his feet on the ropes for leverage and Punk piles on as they get the three! [23:19] Clay gets up shortly after and is fuming so he hits all three men with the Fall of Humanity before leaving. The three remaining stars are all laid out for a while until Punk and Del Rio begin to stir. Del Rio hits him with an instant enziguri and covers for a near fall. Del Rio and Ziggler begin to work over Punk with German suplexes, gut busters and a superkick from Ziggler. Ziggler locks Punk in the sleeper hold but Del Rio rolls him up from behind and gets a surprising 1-2-3! [28:54] Ziggler is furious with Del Rio, who points to his head as if to say what he did was brilliant. Ziggler is still fuming as he leaves the Chamber while Del Rio turns back to Punk. Punk pulls him into small package but Del Rio kicks out. He goes for another enziguri but Punk ducks it and locks him in the Anaconda Vise! Del Rio somehow manages to reverse it and locks in the Cross Armbar! Punk looks close to tapping out but also manages to reverse it into a pin that Del Rio kicks out of. As they get up, Punk levels him with a huge kick to the head. Del Rio falls forward onto the ropes and softly bounces off. Punk lifts him and hits the Go to Sleep to retain the WWE Title. Winner and Still WWE Champion: CM Punk [31:21] ****¼ - CM Punk is exhausted but has retained his WWE Title and should head into WrestleMania 28 as the Champion. He celebrates with the WWE Universe as we fade to black.

Righty ho, never read this before, but I checked out Elimination Chamber, really liked the opening chamber match. Bryan retaining in a fairly heelish fashion was a nice touch, interested to see if you go down the 18 seconds route. Wondering what route you’ll take with Mason Ryan, he wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I’m sure you’ll make it work. The Goldust/Cody match seemed awesome and I really hope they end up doing something like this in real life, it’s only fitting that Goldust would end his career against his brother.
Intrigued for the aftermath of Cena’s brutal side, wondering what will happen with you adding Barrett to the title match, I don’t know if the crowd would have bought him as a credible threat at this point but I’m willing to be proven wrong. The second chamber seemed fun and I’m hoping that Ziggler and Ryder have a match at Wrestlemania. Will be good to see what your plan for Punk is heading in too.
You’ve caught me with this one, will be following and anticipating the build up to Mania.

Your graphic designer is sexy, just saying. Onto Elimination Chamber, nice call having the World Heavyweight Championship match kick things off. As expected, Daniel Bryan was able to retain. Looking forward to seeing where Bryan goes from here whether it's a program with just Randy Orton, or Wade Barrett as well. The Miz going over R-Truth was for the better. I was still a huge Miz fan at this time, so hopefully you can keep his status elevated. Though I don't see him having a huge presence at WrestleMania. Trish Stratus going into the Hall of Fame, good. Should have happened by this point already. Next up, a bit surprised that you're going with Cody Rhodes versus Goldust's blowoff match here and not 'Mania. At least, it seems like this was the blowoff with Rhodes getting the victory. Hoping that his Intercontinental Championship reign goes on a bit longer. I absolutely loved his run with the title. John Cena getting the win over Kane in the Inferno Match was obvious. With his match against The Rock coming up real soon, keeping Cena strong is as big of a priority as ever. Good announcement for the Team Laurinaitis/Team Teddy match at WrestleMania. Otunga and Booker as the first members respectively is cool, too. Whoa, wasn't expecting Barrett to get the win here. Can't really complain much about him headlining 'Mania at this point since I did the same thing. Bryan/Orton/Barrett has some serious potential, if that is indeed that World Title bout that we're getting. And finally, CM Punk retaining the WWE Championship was the obvious, and right, call. Just curious as to what he'll be doing at WrestleMania. Chris Jericho seemed like a no-brainer initially, but it appears that he'll be busy with The Undertaker. Intrigued for Punk's future. Overall, a great PPV. WrestleMania is already shaping up to be great, and I'll be sure to have your match graphics done soon.

Elimination Chamber, ay? Your graphics designer is not sexy btw. He is a dink. Anyway, good opening contest with the Elimination Chamber match with no surprise coming here with Daniel Bryan getting the win over Sheamus. I'll anticipate he will be involved with Orton and/or Barrett heading into WrestleMania. Interesting to have Mason Ryan attack R-Truth and help Miz get the victory. Interested to see where this goes down the road. Not shocked to see Cody Rhodes get the victory over his brother here. Not sure if this would have been a better moment for WrestleMania... that is, if you don't really plan on using Goldust again. Up next, a pretty obvious win for John Cena over Kane here as he really needs the victory going into WrestleMania against The Rock obviously. No surprise here with the set up for Team Johnny vs Team Teddy at WrestleMania to determine the number one contender for both shows. Otunga and Booker are fitting picks to be on each team, sounds good. Looking forward to see who you put on each side. Wade Barrett getting the win over Randy Orton was expected and the clear choice. Should be interesting seeing a triple threat going into WrestleMania with the experienced Orton and young buck Barrett. Finally, a main event with another expected winner in Punk... however, I'm left curious as to what Punk will be doing at the event. A predictable show, but that is kind of expected with Elimination Chamber. Looking forward to WrestleMania.

February 20th, 2012 | Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota
- A short video package recapping last night’s Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View, focusing on the WWE Title Elimination Chamber and the culmination of the rivalry between John Cena and Kane. Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler introduce us to the Elimination Chamber fallout and hype up the show. They remind us that the COO Triple H is in the building and that we will hear from Randy Orton as he decides which title he and now, Wade Barrett, will challenge for at WrestleMania.
- The lights in the building go out and Chris Jericho’s theme begins to play. The former “Y2J” comes out to kick us off as it looks like we will be getting some answers for last week’s attack on The Undertaker. Jericho gets in the ring and takes a microphone. He speaks in a slow voice again, starting by saying that he doesn’t have to explain himself to anyone in the WWE Universe. In his mind, the reason he went after The Undertaker should be obvious. He wants nothing more than to destroy the WWE and one of the things to destroy first is hope. The WWE Universe always has faith in their precious Undertaker winning at WrestleMania. The Undertaker is the symbol of the WWE and Jericho’s current mission is to end him and his streak. The Undertaker has defeated both members of D-Generation X, both members of Rated RKO and all four members of Evolution at the Show of Shows. He’s never faced someone like him before though. Chris Jericho lays down the gauntlet and challenges The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVIII. He says he will end the streak and then he will end the WWE. His music plays as he exits to a chorus of boos.
- ===Commercial Break===
- We return to see John Laurinaitis and David Otunga in the back. Laurinaitis says that he is very excited for WrestleMania and the opportunity to take control of both Raw and Smackdown. Otunga says that there is no way that they will not be victorious especially with him as one of the team members. Laurinaitis says that a match will take place tonight where the second member of his team will go against the second member of Teddy Long’s team. Otunga asks who his first teammate will be and Alberto Del Rio enters to answer the question. He shakes Laurinaitis’ hand and says that when he was on Smackdown, he hated Teddy Long so he’s happy to be on Team Laurinaitis.
- Non-Title Match: WWE Tag Team Champions AirBoom vs. The Usos fought to a no contest >> Two of, if not the top two tag teams in the WWE went at it in a very good opener here. The Usos have shown a lot of improvement over the past few months and AirBoom hasn’t missed a beat while Kofi Kingston was involved in the Elimination Chamber. After a fun back and forth seven or so minutes, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil came in through the crowd and attacked both teams which forced the referees to call for the bell.
- Darren Young and Titus O’Neil hit their signature moves on both teams as the crowd booed heavily. Young grabbed a microphone and told the crowd that they were done with their work on nXt and it’s time to take the tag team division by storm. He introduces them as the Prime Time Players and says that they will be the next WWE Tag Team Champions.
- ===Commercial Break===
- We are taken to a recap of what just occurred between The Usos, AirBoom and the Prime Time Players before being taken backstage. Zack Ryder is talking with Eve when John Cena comes up to him. Eve says she’ll let them talk and Cena asks how Ryder’s doing. Ryder says that he could be better and Cena says that he got revenge by setting Kane’s arm on fire last night. Ryder says that was revenge for whatever Kane did to Cena, but he wants his own revenge. He knows that Kane is not in the building tonight but he plans on calling out the Big Red Machine next week on Raw. Cena tries to reason with him and tell him not to call out Kane but Ryder tells him nothing is going to change his mind and for Cena not to worry about him. He tells Cena to focus on The Rock heading into WrestleMania.
- A quick video is shown highlighting how Beth Phoenix has run through the Divas division since winning the Divas Championship and Tamina’s recent hot streak. The announce team informs us that later this week Beth Phoenix, Eve and The Bella Twins will appear on Extra with Mario Lopez and WWE fan Maria Menounos.
- Divas Championship: Beth Phoenix [c] def. Tamina >> Compared to most Divas matches; this one got a good amount of time and was very physical. Both women hit each other with stiff shots and it’s rare to see a battle of powerhouses amongst Divas. Tamina came close on a few occasions and went to the top for her splash but Beth got up and hit the ropes, causing her to fall. The Glamazon then lifted her up and dropped her with the Glam Slam!
- Beth Phoenix celebrates and it really looks like nobody will be able to stop her as she’s beaten every Diva on the roster. As the commentators are saying this, laughter is heard and Kharma makes her way down to the ring! Kharma made an appearance in the 2012 Royal Rumble, but has been gone for nearly a year. She gets right in Beth Phoenix’s face and the crowd is excited as she’s the one Diva on the roster that Beth Phoenix hasn’t beaten. Beth doesn’t look too happy about this, but doesn’t back down. Kharma points to the Divas Title, but Beth shouts that she hasn’t earned a title shot. Kharma turns to walk away but instead turns back and nails Phoenix with a vicious backfist! The crowd eats this segment up as we head to commercial.
- ===Commercial Break===
- We return to an announcement stating that Mick Foley will be at Raw next week and, according to what was just tweeted; Dolph Ziggler wants to meet with him face to face! Also, The Undertaker will be in attendance and will have an answer for Chris Jericho! Next week is shaping up to be a major episode of Monday Night Raw!
- John Laurinaitis is in the ring when we return as he officially introduces the second member of Team Laurinaitis for WrestleMania, Alberto Del Rio! He will be joining David Otunga to take on Team Long, which so far only has Booker T. After Del Rio gets in the ring with him, Laurinaitis promises that Long’s next member, who will be facing Del Rio now, is not going to be better than Alberto. Sheamus’ theme hits as the crowd explodes and we’ve got another team member!
- Sheamus def. Alberto Del Rio via disqualification >> A rivalry between these two sometime in the near future would be delightful as they had a very solid match here tonight on Raw. Sheamus controlled it early with his strength until Del Rio used a rake to the eyes to begin working on his arm. He locked in the Cross Armbar but Sheamus again used his power to lift Del Rio up and Powerbomb him! He began to beat his chest, calling for the Brogue Kick until he was suddenly hit from behind by Drew McIntyre and David Otunga, causing the disqualification.
- Drew McIntyre, David Otunga and Alberto Del Rio continued to put the boots to Sheamus as it looks like Team Laurinaitis has another member. It ends when McIntyre puts down Sheamus with a Future Shock and the three men pose in the middle of the ring.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Daniel Bryan’s theme hits as the World Heavyweight Champion comes out and gets in the ring with AJ Lee. “Cult of Personality” plays as CM Punk, the WWE Champion, follows and it looks like Randy Orton is set to make his decision for WrestleMania. The 2012 Royal Rumble winner joins us now and gets into the ring. He gets on a microphone and says that he has been thinking about which belt to challenge for over the past few weeks and as promised, he wouldn’t make a decision until Elimination Chamber ended. After watching both matches he has made a carefully thought out decision. Before he can say which belt he’s going after, Wade Barrett’s music cuts him off and he joins us in the ring. He says that he’s not here to intrude as he’s just here because this decision involves him as well. He reminds the WWE Universe that he defeated Randy Orton last night and whichever belt Orton chooses to go after, he will have to do so in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania. Orton speaks again saying that he has decided to go after the World Heavyweight Title that he lost last year.
- Daniel Bryan looks pissed at this information and begins to shout “no” loudly. CM Punk laughs and goes to leave but Barrett stands in his way. Punk takes a microphone and tells Barrett to move out of his way and consider himself lucky that Orton didn’t choose the WWE Title. Barrett laughs, says Punk is the lucky one and dares him to make him move. Before Punk can do so, Mr. Laurinaitis comes out to the stage. He says that he’s not about to have Barrett and Punk go at it right now because that’s a money match and he would like to have that and give it proper promotion. However, he has an idea for tonight’s main event. Wade Barrett will team up with a consistent thorn in CM Punk’s side, Dolph Ziggler to take on Punk and Randy Orton. The crowd pops for this announcement. Laurinaitis tells Daniel Bryan that he has the night off to mentally prepare for the news that he just heard.
- ===Commercial Break===
- We return to hear a reminder that tomorrow night is Super Smackdown Live where Daniel Bryan will go one on one with CM Punk in a Champion vs. Champion match! Also, just announced is Kharma’s return match as she will go one on one with Eve Torres. Lastly, we just got word that Drew McIntyre and Alberto Del Rio will join forces to take on Sheamus and Teddy Long’s next team member!
- Brodus Clay def. Santino Marella >> Brodus Clay was clearly in a foul mood after being handed his first loss in the WWE during the Elimination Chamber. This was a bit of an extended squash as Santino got in some offense but fell to the Fall of Humanity.
- Triple H is now shown arriving at the arena! The Chief Operation Officer is set to join us before the night is over and we have no idea what his agenda is!
- ===Commercial Break===
- The third inductee into the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame Class is announced as the former 2 time WWF Champion; Yokozuna will be joining Edge and Trish Stratus!
- Scott Stanford is standing by with the WWE Champion CM Punk. He asks him about his feelings for WrestleMania now that he knows he won’t be facing Randy Orton and Wade Barrett. Punk says that he would’ve been fine with competing against Orton and Barrett but now the door is open to find an opponent for the WWE Title. He says that he hopes whatever Triple H is here for tonight involves the WWE Title because he’d like to know who he’ll be facing.
- R-Truth def. Mason Ryan w/ The Miz >> Last night at Elimination Chamber, Mason Ryan helped The Miz defeat R-Truth and Truth was looking for a measure of revenge here tonight. Ryan is a powerhouse but is still rough around the edges when it comes to his in ring work. Truth got the win after a rollup.
- The Miz rushed into the ring but R-Truth managed to escape pretty quickly. He backed up the ramp and pointed at The Miz clearly showing that this is not over.
- ===Commercial Break===
- John Laurinaitis is shown in his office once more with David Otunga. He tells Otunga that he plans to have his entire team named by next week because so many people are lining up to support him over Theodore Long. Triple H enters and the conversation stops. He greets John Laurinaitis and says that it feels good to be back. Laurinaitis asks about his plans for being here tonight. Triple H says that he has something he needs to get off of his chest and we’ll find out before the show is over.
- WWE Champion CM Punk & Randy Orton def. Wade Barrett & Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero >> Tonight’s main event was given a lot of time as the four competitors have faced off so much recently that their chemistry is great. The heels worked over the WWE Champion midway through the match until he made the hot tag to Randy Orton, who came in completely on fire. He nailed both Ziggler and Barrett with clotheslines before hitting the legal man, Ziggler with a powerslam. Shortly after, Orton began to pound the mat in preparation for the RKO. Barrett rushed in and tried to intervene but was met with a swift kick to the head by CM Punk. Ziggler got up facing Punk and was hit with a Go to Sleep! He bounced off of Punk’s knee and turned right into an RKO! Orton covered and that definitely ended things.
- As the winning team celebrated, Triple H’s theme hit as the COO of the WWE made his way to the ring in a suit. He gets in and is handed a microphone before telling Randy Orton that he is free to leave the ring as this doesn’t concern him. Orton leaves and Triple H addresses CM Punk. He congratulates CM Punk on winning back the WWE Title at Survivor Series and his successful reign since then. Triple H mentions that CM Punk has had issues with Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis as of late because Laurinaitis doesn’t like Punk’s “anti-establishment” personality. Punk nods his head in agreement and Triple H says that he can tell where Punk is coming from, being a member of D-Generation X in the past. However, that was back when he was a Superstar and things are a little different now that he is the Chief Operation Officer. The last time that he was consistently around, CM Punk was one of; if not the main source of negativity every single time he attempted to work his authority. He admits there were others but his main issue was with CM Punk and he didn’t appreciate that. Punk grabbed a microphone and went to say his piece but was instead kicked in the stomach and planted with a Pedigree! The crowd was stunned as the Chief Operation Officer of the WWE just attacked the WWE Champion. The announcers understand that Punk was a thorn in Triple H’s side when he tried to run Raw, but that was months ago and this may be taking it too far.

Tried to remember as much of possible without reading through again. Before you left Jericho was back to destroy the WWE. Cena was feuding with Kane & Bryan was slowly turning heel and Orton won the Rumble.
Chamber was a decent show nothing major really happened outside of Barrett beating Orton to be added to a title match at Mania. Later they were added to the WOrld title match with Bryan. In hindsight this makes Bryan currently look like a 3rd wheel in someone else's rivalry for me Orton should have beat Barrett and went on to face Bryan at Mania. I would be more worried about getting Bryan over than Barrett at the minute.
Cena and Rock is not currently feeling special also Cena is not coming across as the biggest star in the company either. Just because he was at this point doesn't mean it comes across that way in your diary. Still have many weeks to change that though...
Punk/Jericho/Taker/HHH - it seemed like we were getting Punk-Jericho for the title and it was been built well but now we have switched too Jericho-Taker & Punk-HHH. Jericho/Taker has been smoother but still not great while HHH/Punk came across forced.
Looks like I have taken a knock at the top of your card here but that's not my purpose. I would compare this to actual WWE from a few months back where the action was great but the top if the show was not clicking for me. Maybe you changed some ideas while u were away. I have confidence though that come Mania everything will come good!
If u get a chance check out my TNA diary 02-03 any feedback us appreciated. Good to see you back from someone who voted for your return in the simmy's

February 21st, 2012 | BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, Illinois- We are welcomed to Super Smackdown Live by Michael Cole, Booker T and Josh Matthews who hype up the big Champion vs. Champion main event tonight between WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan! They continue to promote tonight’s huge show but are cut off by the theme of our World Champion.
- Daniel Bryan comes down to the ring with AJ Lee trotting behind him and he does not look like he’s in a good mood. He gets in the ring and begins to speak about what happened this past Monday on Raw. He says that first of all, Randy Orton made a mistake by challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXVIII. However, the bigger issue is that Orton wasn’t good enough to beat Wade Barrett at Elimination Chamber so now, because of his failures; Bryan has to defend the World Title against two people at WrestleMania. He complains that this isn’t fair to him because even though he can beat both of them, he shouldn’t have to. Bryan is cut off by the appearance of one of the number one contenders for his title, Randy Orton. Orton gets in the ring and tells Bryan that he needs to watch what he says about failures. He admits that he lost to Wade Barrett fair and square at Elimination Chamber and he gives Wade credit for that, but that just means that when he wins the World Heavyweight Title back at WrestleMania he’ll get to beat Barrett and Bryan at the same time.
- Of course, Wade Barrett now arrives and our WrestleMania World Title match participants share a ring. Barrett says that he partially agrees with Daniel Bryan. It shouldn’t be a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania because he should have his own title shot. He claims that Randy Orton got lucky at the Royal Rumble because that was to be his night, however it was a just a small hiccup in the midst of the Barrett Barrage. That’s why justice was served when he beat Orton two nights ago and took his rightful place in the WrestleMania World Title match. Bryan begins to shout that neither of them deserves to face the man who beat Big Show and Mark Henry on multiple occasions. Bryan says that he beat Mark Henry, the man who took the World Title from Orton in the first place. Orton makes a move towards Bryan but Theodore Long’s theme hits. The Smackdown General Manager comes to the stage and says that he can’t have them brawling right now because he needs to protect the title match for WrestleMania. Bryan already has a match tonight, so it’s only fair that both Barrett and Orton have matches as well. Tonight, Wade Barrett will go one on one with the Big Show and Randy Orton’s match is up next against former Mark Henry!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Randy Orton def. Mark Henry >> Randy Orton finally got a chance for retribution after Mark Henry took the World Heavyweight Title from him last year. Much like those matches, this one had a bit of a slow pace as Henry took control and even locked in a bearhug. Orton would eventually fight out of it and rally behind the crowd. He was on fire and banged on the mat but when he went for the RKO, Henry pushed him off and lifted him for the World’s Strongest Slam. Orton elbowed his way out of it and snuck in an RKO to win it!
- The cameras now go to the back where Teddy Long is in his office with Hornswoggle. He tells Hornswoggle that he appreciates Hornswoggle wanting to compete in his honor on Team Long at WrestleMania but he can’t, in good faith, allow him to compete. A knock is heard and in steps Santino Marella. He says that he would like to join Team Teddydore Long at WrestleMania. Long thinks about it for a bit and tells him that he’ll have an answer for him on Raw.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo for WrestleMania XXVIII is shown focusing on the World Heavyweight Title match between Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and Wade Barrett.
- A recap of the impact that the Prime Time Players made in their first two appearances last week on Smackdown and last night on Raw is shown. They’ve assaulted The Usos, Primo and Epico, International Airstrike and the WWE Tag Team Champions, AirBoom!
- The Prime Time Players def. International Airstrike >> After failing early on in Seasons 1 and 2 of NXT, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil have made strides on NXT Redemption before forming this new team and they have made a statement so far. A big step in helping to make even more of a statement would be a victory and that’s just what they got tonight. They worked well together, but Kidd and Gabriel fought hard and this was an exciting tag team contest. In the end however, Young won after showing off the Gut Check finisher on Kidd.
- The Prime Time Players celebrate their victory when The Usos theme hits! Jimmy and Jey rush out to the ring and began to trade shots with them. The Usos send the Prime Time Players packing and then launch themselves onto them on the outside. They get back in the ring and celebrate as the crowd goes wild. The Prime Time Players have made enemies and they’ve made them fast.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Theodore Long is shown in the ring as he is prepared to introduce the 3rd member of Team Long. He informs us that this is a popular Superstar who is known for having a good time with his posse. The new member and Sheamus’ partner for tonight is Ted Dibiase! The WWE Universe cheers as Dibiase comes out and the tag team match is about to begin.
- Sheamus & Ted Dibiase def. Alberto Del Rio & Drew McIntyre >> One of the more solid tag team match in recent memory to not involve any regular tag teams was a lot of fun. If this is any indication at all, the Team Long vs. Team Laurinaitis match at WrestleMania will be a blast. As one would expect, the heels cut the ring in half and worked over Dibiase until he made the hot tag to Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior leveled both of his opponents with multiple shots before putting down McIntyre with a vicious Brogue Kick.
- Sheamus and Ted Dibiase celebrated their victory as the announcers mention that John Laurinaitis better have something up his sleeve because Team Long is looking strong.
- Cameron Lynn is standing by with the WWE Champion, CM Punk. She asks Punk about his feelings after being attacked by the COO Triple H, last night on Raw. Punk says that he doesn’t know exactly what Triple H was thinking. Don’t get him wrong, he understands that Triple H was upset about Punk’s attitude. He doesn’t know what Triple H was thinking by attacking a bad, bad man like himself. He knows that Triple H isn’t here tonight, but he hopes to see him this Monday because he’s going to show him why he’s the best in the world.
- ===Commercial Break===
- The Intercontinental Champion’s theme music plays when we return as Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring and is greeted with a chorus of boos. He shows off his belt and grabs a microphone. Cody says that two nights ago he fulfilled yet another accomplishment by not only beating his brother once again, but by ending his career. No longer will his family have to tune in and see the atrocious Goldust character. Cody claims that he is the savior of the Rhodes’ family. He admits that his father was great and had a Hall of Fame career, but not in the WWE. In the WWE he wore stupid polka dots and danced with a fat chick. His brother meanwhile, cross dressed and never made it to the top. He, however, is in the midst of the greatest Intercontinental Title reign in history, has ended his brother’s career and has never once embarrassed or brought shame to his family name. Cody says that he has a new goal and that is to be the best thing about WrestleMania XXVIII. So he just has to figure out what to do that night.
- Story of the Year hits as Christian walks down the aisle. Cody Rhodes is confused as Captain Charisma gets a microphone and starts speaking. Christian says that he always enjoyed Goldust when he was around and it’s a shame that his career is over. He calls Cody a spoiled brat who doesn’t know how to appreciate family because his brother is great and his father is a Hall of Famer no matter how you look at it. Cody asks if there is a point to this lecture. Christian says that it’s the same point that Booker T, Goldust and his dad tried to make to him and it’s about respect. He feels that Cody is an egotistical, self-centered jerk and he wants to teach him a lesson. Once he saw Cody nail his dad with the Intercontinental Title last week he knew that Cody was going to be a problem. He challenges Cody to a match next week on Smackdown. Cody laughs and says that Christian hasn’t earned any kind of match with someone of his stature. Before Christian can give his rebuttal, Cody slaps him and the two begin to brawl. The crowd is very into this as the two take the fight to the outside. Christian has the upper hand until Cody hits him with a dirty low blow and scurries off with his belt.
- ===Commercial Break===
- An advertisement is shown for this Raw this Monday night, reminding us that Mick Foley and The Undertaker will be there! Foley will be met by Dolph Ziggler, who tweeted that he has something to say to the New York Times #1 Bestseller while The Undertaker will answer Chris Jericho’s challenge for WrestleMania.
- Wade Barrett def. Big Show >> Wade Barrett was correct earlier tonight when he said that the Barrett Barrage was still running strong as he defeated the World’s Largest Athlete. Show was his normal powerful self and Barrett had a tough time getting past Show’s sheer force. He used an age old tactic of removing the turnbuckle cover and, after the referee was knocked down, ran Show into it. He shoved Show’s face into it twice more before running off the ropes and nailing him with a huge forearm to get the count from the referee.
- We are taken to the back where Theodore Long is shown in his office. Cody Rhodes enters asking what Long is going to do about Christian disrespecting him like that. Long says that he’s glad Cody is here, because he is going to do something. He’s going to let them settle it in a match next week on Smackdown. Cody is furious at this as he storms out of the room.
- A graphic is shown to remind us that tonight’s main event is CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan in a Champion vs. Champion match.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A video package plays showing highlights of the newest member of the 2012 Hall of Fame class, Yokozuna, who will be joining Edge and Trish Stratus this year.
- We now see a highlight video of the appearance on Beth Phoenix, Eve and the Bella Twins on Extra. They did basic press until Maria Menounos made a comment about possibly getting in the ring one day. Beth took offense to this as stepping in the ring isn’t a joke to her. Things got heated and security had to take Beth away. Beth Phoenix has been suspended for a week due to the incident.
- Another video package plays showing Kharma’s return on Raw last night where she confronted the Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix.
- Kharma def. Eve >> In Kharma’s first official match in nearly a year she looked like she wasn’t suffering from much ring rust. Eve was clearly intimidated but she gave it her best shot. Unfortunately, Kharma planted her with the Implant Buster and covered for the win.
- Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are shown walking towards the ring area on a split screen because our huge main event on Super Smackdown is up next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- We see Theodore Long in his office one more time as he is preparing to watch the main event when Drew McIntyre enters. Drew says that he is going to enjoy ending Long’s reign of terror as the General Manager of Smackdown at WrestleMania, but he’s here with news. The news is that Mr. John Laurinaitis has completed his team and he will announce all of the participants officially this Monday night on Raw. Teddy Long says that’s fine because his team is coming together very well.
- Non-Title Champion vs. Champion Match: WWE Champion CM Punk def. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan w/ AJ Lee via disqualification >> Before the match the two Champions surprisingly shook hands in a nice show of respect. The match itself was a fantastic exploit of technical wrestling and it went back and forth throughout its seventeen minutes. Bryan locked in the LeBell Lock but Punk managed to free himself and latch on the Anaconda Vise. Bryan would not submit either as he managed to break the hold by reaching the ropes. Punk taunted for the Go to Sleep and hoisted Bryan up. Bryan elbowed his way out of it and tried to lock in the LeBell Lock again. Punk rolled forward and managed to get Bryan in a pin attempt but Bryan kicked out. Both men were tiring and took a bit to get up. When they did, Punk hoisted Bryan up for the GTS again but Bryan wriggled free and hit Punk with a low blow, causing the disqualification.
- Daniel Bryan quickly rolled out of the ring and AJ Lee brought him the World Heavyweight Title. He left up the ramp as CM Punk was seething in the middle of the ring. As Bryan reached the top of the ramp Wade Barrett appeared behind him. Bryan bumped into him while he walked backwards and turned to Barrett who leveled him with a forearm shot. He nailed him a few more times before dropping him with the Wasteland! Wade Barrett picks up the World Heavyweight Title and raises it high in the air. The cameras go backstage where we see Randy Orton laid out in the back as it looks like Barrett has taken out both of his opponents for WrestleMania!

Good opening promo here on Smackdown with Daniel Bryan making his point that Orton and Barrett don't deserve to face him at WrestleMania. Nice set up for a couple of matches for Orton and Barrett as well by T-Lo, playa. Obvious victory for Orton in the opening contest over Henry here... oh lord, Santino on Team Teddydore Long. Good victory here for The Prime Time Players, I'm going to assume we will have either a pre-show tag turmoil or something like that at Mania. Sheamus and Ted DiBiase getting the victory for Team 'Teddydore' is fine, as long as Laurinaitis' team gets some momentum back in the future. Which I'm going to assume will happen. Nice promo from Cody Rhodes, running down his brother. Christian confronting him is interesting, but will certainly set up for a quality match for the Intercontinental Championship in the future and probably at Mania. Wade Barrett with the victory over Big Show, just like Randy Orton's match earlier - this was obvious. Cody Rhodes vs Christian next week on Smackdown, huh? I'll take the early guess that we see a faulty finish leading to a match being made at Mania for now. Yokozuna to the Hall of Fame, of course, as you are seeming to go in the direction of the actual Hall of Fame class. Kharma winning her first match back was quite obvious, as I hope she dominates the division and wins the title from Beth. Finally, a big main event with Daniel Bryan getting himself disqualified - only to be laid out by Wade Barrett! Barrett taking out Bryan and Orton is a pretty big deal. Looking forward to your continued build towards WrestleMania, Kev.
