6/19/12 Edition
- As of yesterday. World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Mercedes Vernado to a development contract. She is a 20 year old cousin of rapper Snoop Dogg and is expected to make her NXT debut within the next few months.
- The former Husky Harris is reported to have a new gimmick that he is perfecting with Triple H. He is expected to bypass NXT alongside recent signing Jon Huber, who was formerly known as Brodie Lee on the indies and Joseph Rudd. It is said that they will be a in stable together.
- The decision to go back to the brand split came because the WWE wants to get rid of the "SuperShow" idea. With the talent being called up from NXT, splitting the brands was the best option and it allows for Triple H and John Laurinaitis to both stick around in authority roles.
- Ryback debuted as a member of the Real Americans on Raw last night. For those who don't remember, he was on WWE television previously as Skipp Sheffield from NXT Season One and the Nexus. There may be a fourth member added, possibly a Diva as the company wants them as a stable and not just a tag team.

Really unsure about the Draft. I think it's long become stale and will only limit your resources and opportunities for your roster.
Ryder over McIntyre is pretty big, playing to the home crowd. Also good use of the Draft as an excuse for McIntyre's loss - I kinda like that little touch. I'm guessing he'll somehow find his way into the match anyway.
Guessing Punk may be Triple H's first Draft pick? Or will it be the lottery scenario?
And I was right! Interesting to see how Drew's second chance plays out.
Usos needed the win following the Real American's win at NWO - it throws them right into the picture. Ryback joining them is a cool, I'm interested to see how he fits. I think he works better as a dominant-Bill Goldberg-esque monster but still, this could work.
Mixed tag match is a little weird. Don't think Barrett needed to attack Del Rio - they already have the win. Seemed a bit of unnecessary burial for Del Rio.
Good continuation of the Bryan/AJ angle. I'm not really sure where you can go from here, unless you continue Punk/Bryan and pair AJ off with Punk.
The Cena promo seemed a little anti-climactic. I would have liked to have seen Cena anguish over his losses for a little longer, another week or two at least. And then something snaps, and he shocks everyone with the win to qualify for MITB. Instead we got "Ok, sorry I lost, but next week I'll win."
I like that you gave Drew the guaranteed win against Hornswoggle. It's a good compliment to Laurinaitis' character. However, Triple H's involvement afterwards seemed a little "off". He came across as whiney and he didn't really need to be there. You could have show him on the titantron watching the monitor or something, to build the anticipation of his reaction next week. Let Drew and his buddies revel in their "moment". Monster Henry is a redeemable ending to the segment although I hope we don't see him against Triple H.
Miz... meh.
Don't like Triple H going away in an ambulance. If it was anyone else, maybe. But Triple H has always been strong, tough and hard to beat. I don't see him going through a table and then to hospital as being realistic. We've seen it too many times before.
Think Punk deserved a clean victory, although I understand this may be hard after the way you're building Henry. Also seems like there's too many run-in finishes/post-match on this show. Jericho attacking Punk is fantastic - glad to see you'll be giving us that match. Hopefully it's booked better than in real-life 2012.
Not a bad show overall. I think there are some things to work on - I'd cut down on the run-ins and attacks, and work on the wording of the promos a little as it doesn't really give a good representation of certain characters.

June 20th, 2012 | Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
After the weekly opening video package, the camera pans around Full Sail University and the rowdy crowd. Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and William Regal welcome the viewers at home to another huge edition of NXT, where we will see the Semi-Finals of the NXT Championship Tournament. Before we get to any of that though, the crowd boos at the arrival of two of the most hated men in NXT.
Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis make their way to the ring to a chorus of boos. They are clearly not in a good mood as video control takes us to a replay of Sami Zayn advancing to tonight’s Semi-Finals by beating Curtis last week. McGillicutty speaks first saying that Sami Zayn is the luckiest Superstar in WWE history. “Sami Zayn is not better than either one of us. I should have won Season 2 of NXT and Johnny did win Season 4. There is no way that some flash in the pan like Sami should be able to beat either one of us.” Johnny Curtis takes a microphone and says that while they are far from finished with Sami Zayn, they want to turn their attention to the tag team division. “We are tired of seeing these teams run around here like they are something special. We are the true tag team in NXT.” They are cut off by the theme of Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey to a pop. They keep their promo short and sweet, claiming that tag team competition is what they want and they challenge Curtis and McGillicutty tonight. McGillicutty and Curtis accept as we head to commercial.
JOHNNY CURTIS AND MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY DEF. ADRIAN NEVILLE AND OLIVER GREYThe tag team division in NXT continues to heat up with this hard fought match. Both teams showed their promise throughout. The heels insolated Oliver Grey and gave him a beating. He managed to make the hot tag to Adrian Neville, who got a big pop and hit his high octane offense. He set up Johnny Curtis for the Red Arrow, but Corey Graves and Jake Carter began to walk down to the ring. The distraction allowed Michael McGillicutty to know him off the top and allowed Curtis to hi a big leg drop for the win. The fans at Full Sail University boo as Johnny Curtis and Michael McGillicutty have their hands raised. Corey Graves and Jake Carter seem pleased with themselves as they get a bit of revenge on Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey, after losing to them a few weeks back. Backstage, John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office when a knock is heard. Kassius Ohno enters and he is livid about being eliminated from the NXT Title Tournament. He demands tonight’s match between Seth Rollins and Big E Langston be turned into a Triple Threat match. JBL denies him because he lost fair and square, but if he wants to earn a shot at whoever the champ is, he needs to prove it out in the ring and not in this office. A promo airs for Smackdown this Friday. Daniel Bryan will face Big Show in a Money in the Bank Qualifying match, while Dean Ambrose takes on Sin Cara in another. Plus, we will hear from World Heavyweight Champion Wade Barrett. NXT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL: SETH ROLLINS DEF. BIG E LANGSTON
A great match here as the string of good Tournament contests continues. Big E Langston and Seth Rollins played the strong man vs. the speedy high flyer story to perfection. Big E was dominant at times, as the fans rallied behind the ever resilient Rollins. Big E went for the Big Ending, but Rollins wriggled free and connected on the Pele Kick. He followed with the Avada Kedavra and Phoenix Splash to earn the 1-2-3. Seth Rollins rolls out of the ring as the crowd gets to their feet. His strong flurry of offense was enough to put down the undefeated Big E Langston and he is now just one more match from becoming the first ever NXT Champion. Backstage, Leo Kruger is shown in a dark room. He looks into the camera and says that Derrick Bateman eliminated him from the NXT Title Tournament and that is not acceptable. He is a hunter and his ultimate game was the NXT Title. With that taken away from him, he smells his prey and its name is Derrick Bateman.
Returning, a recap airs of the formation of the “Anti-Diva Army” last week. Paige and Sofia Cortez formed an alliance while taking out their friends, Emma and Summer Rae. PAIGE W/ SOFIA CORTEZ DEF. AUDREY MARIE
With the turn last week came a much more aggressive Paige this week. Audrey Marie was unable to even get out of the blocks as Paige just assaulted her with some stiff shots. Marie got in only a few moves, but this was pretty much all Paige. It’s a different response as Paige would normally get cheered here but the Full Sail crowd boos loudly. Sofia Cortez enters the ring and raises her hand and gets a microphone. “What you all just saw is exactly why we will dominate as the Anti-Divas. We don’t have to be your typical girls, we’re just better.” Backstage, Sami Zayn is shown getting ready for the match when he is leveled from behind by Michael McGillicutty. He and Johnny Curtis put the boots to Sami before Michael gets in his face. “You don’t deserve to be here! This is our house and we’ll make sure your run ends here.” McGillicutty ends the assault with a chair shot to the back. A graphic shows to remind us that the main event is next, if Sami Zayn can make it to the ring.
Damien Sandow comes out for his Semi-Final match but when Sami Zayn’s theme hits, he doesn’t appear. The music stops and when it starts again, still no Sami. Damien grabs the microphone and speaks to the official. “Referee, it seems to me and all of these imbeciles in the arena that Sami Zayn isn’t going to be able to make out here. Therefore, I demand to be given a countout victory so I can take my rightful place in the Finals of the Tournament.” The referee doesn’t want to, but he begins to count. As he reaches five, Sami’s theme plays again and he comes out, but is clearly not 100%. The crowd is red hot for his arrival though. NXT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL: DAMIEN SANDOW DEF. SAMI ZAYN
Even though Damien Sandow was shocked and unprepared for Sami Zayn to actually appear for the match, he regrouped rather quickly and came out aggressively. He targeted Sami’s already worked on back throughout Sami would not quit. He kicked out of several moves that he had no business getting a shoulder up on. Sami began to make the babyface comeback and the crowd gets behind him but he misses the Helluva Kick in the corner. Sandow plants him with the Silencer and advances. Damien Sandow gets to his feet as the fans boo him. William Regal puts over the valiant effort by Sami Zayn, but he unfortunately couldn’t overcome the attack he suffered at the hands of Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis. While Sandow celebrates, Seth Rollins steps out to the stage clapping. “Next week, those two men meet to crown the first ever NXT Champion!” explains Tom Phillips. The show closes on the image of Seth atop the stage and Sandow’s face on the big screen behind him. Trending Topics: #NXTTitleTourney #ZaynvsSandow #AntiDivaArmy #RollinsvsLangston

Quite surprised to see Neville and Grey lose to Curtis and McGillicutty but I suppose having Carter and Graves provide the distraction makes sense. Always liked the team of Graves/Carter. Ohno being refused entry into the Rollins/Big E. match and being told he needs to prove himself is interesting. Looking forward to seeing where you go with Ohno from here. Interfering in matches? Squashing people? Who knows. Rollins advancing over Langston is fine. Rollins is my pick for the inaugural champion. Leo Kruger! Loved that gimmick. With him declaring war (of sorts) on Bateman pretty much rules out him going any further in the tournament. Paige/Sofia are a great team. Would have liked some form of appearance from Summer/Emma or just any interaction in general with them and the Anti-Diva's. Having a double-turn on the previous week's show was great btw! McGillicutty/Curtis attacking Sami, mehhhhhhh. I really liked Sami not appearing initially, leaving Sandow thinking that he was advancing without a fight. Zayn not going down without a fight is cool and pretty much is the epitome of Sami Zayn's character so I liked that. Rollins/Sandow should be a decent final. I really can't see Sandow walking out the champion. Overal, a decent show. You've got alot of decent feuds brewing with Zayn/Curtis/McGillicutty, Kruger/Bateman, Anti-Diva's/Emma/Summer, Kassius having to prove himself, etc. Nice work, Kev!

Curious if NXT will still exist in the way it does with the draft extension. Almost seems like NXT wouldn't serve as much of a purpose if you chose to make Smackdown weaker. McGillicutty is still the worst name ever lol. Big E losing for the first time mayb]e should've been saved as the main event. I like the Anti-Diva Army name. Glad Sandow won, although him against Rollins is interesting. But that has my interest more than probably any other combination would, so I look forward to that.

June 22nd, 2012 | Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland
After the WWE signature flashes across the screen, we see the Smackdown intro video. Before commentary can even welcome the fans to the show, the theme of Dolph Ziggler hits as he walks to the ring with a clear purpose. Following far behind him is Vickie Guerrero. Dolph enters the ring and snatches a microphone from ringside. “What happened at No Way Out was an injustice the likes of which the WWE has never seen before.” Dolph takes us to the footage of his loss to Sheamus in the Two out of Three Falls match. When the camera cuts back to him, he has a disappointed look on his face. “Honestly, I blame you for that Vickie.” Vickie is appalled that Dolph would say this and the crowd pops. “I told you to stay in the back because I could beat Sheamus all on my own and I was this close to doing just that.” Dolph continues to berate her before stopping and turning away. “But there’s one person that is more at fault than you and that’s me. Regardless of you showing up or not, I didn’t get the job done. I came up short and I lost. I went on and on for months about how I was better than Sheamus but I couldn’t beat him at Extreme Rules, I didn’t win the WWE Title at Over the Limit and I nearly got my head kicked off at No Way Out. How am I supposed to be the Showoff if all I show is that I lose?” Dolph seems to be taking the loss very hard before saying that tonight is when he begins to right the ship. He calls out his opponents in his Money in the Bank Qualifying match because he is done with losing and is taking the next step towards becoming World Champion right now.
Returning, Wade Barrett is shown arriving at the arena. The World Heavyweight Champion has promised to have a bit of a celebration later tonight. MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: DOLPH ZIGGLER W/ VICKIE GUERRERO DEF. EVAN BOURNE AND KOFI KINGSTONA very high octane way to kick off the show as the members of AirBoom competed with Dolph Ziggler for a chance to enter Money in the Bank. Their comradery allowed them to connect on some cool team up moves in the beginning before squaring off against each other. Dolph would get back involved and this featured innovative spots and tons of near falls. Dolph ducked Trouble in Paradise and it struck Evan Bourne, who fell outside. Dolph then planted Kofi with the Zig Zag and qualified. The audience boos as Dolph Ziggler gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the official. “Dolph has just become the first person to qualify for the World Heavyweight Title Money in the Bank Ladder match!” Vickie goes to celebrate with him, but he shrugs her off and continues up the ramp on his own. A graphic appears promoting tonight’s main event, which is a Money in the Bank Qualifying match between Daniel Bryan and the Big Show!
Returning, Matt Striker is standing by with the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes. He throws us to footage of Cody Rhodes retaining his title against Big Show. After the video, Matt asks Cody what’s next. “What’s next Matt? You mean what does the greatest Intercontinental Champion in history do after beating the World’s Largest Athlete and having his reign reach 319 days? Well, I do the next logical step. I win a Money in the Bank Qualifying match and then I win the Money in the Bank briefcase. I told you all back in January that I was going to be Intercontinental and World Champion simultaneously. The first step is Money in the Bank.” The Real Americans make their way to the ring as we are shown video clips of Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger winning the WWE Tag Team Titles at No Way Out, before their newest member Ryback made his debut to take out the Usos this past Monday. Josh Matthews informs the fans at home that AirBoom get their rematch for the belts this Monday on Raw. RYBACK W/ THE REAL AMERICANS DEF. JUSTIN GABRIEL W/ TYSON KIDD
This would be the first real look at Ryback after his impressive debut on Monday. He looked dominant once again as he destroyed one half of International Airstrike. Ryback won with the Shellshock after a dominating performance. Zeb Colter enters the ring as the fans boo the outcome of this match. He gets on the microphone and claims that everyone just witnessed the power of patriotism in Ryback. “AirBoom, you already felt the wrath of America come down on you at No Way Out and it will happen again on Monday. Usos, you are nothing but lucky Samoan trash and you will get what’s coming to you.” The four men do their trademark “WE THE PEOPLE” slogan to end things. Backstage, AJ Lee is shown walking towards the ring. The number one contender for the Divas Championship is coming out to speak to the WWE Universe, next.
A promo airs for this Monday’s edition of Raw. John Cena gets a shot at redemption for his rough 2012 when he takes on David Otunga in a Money in the Bank Qualifying match. Plus, after the events of last week, Alberto Del Rio goes one on one with Mark Henry in another Money in the Bank Qualifying match.
The music of AJ Lee hits as she comes out, but isn’t skipping like she normally would be. We are shown a recap of what happened on Raw when Daniel Bryan distracted her and it led her to get pinned by Kharma. She has a microphone and quickly asks for Daniel Bryan to join her in the ring. Bryan comes down, shouting “Yes” at the top of his lungs as he reaches the ring. Once Bryan entered, AJ began to question him. “Daniel, you know for a fact that you were my first true love, but you broke my heart a few months ago. I tried to get you back but you continually rejected me so I gave up and decided to focus on my own career.” She asks why Daniel chose to get involved in her match on Monday, leading Bryan to smirk. “Why I got involved? AJ, it was you who came up to me at No Way Out and decided to give me one of your bad luck kisses. I have been done with you for a long time but you can’t let go. You cost me the World Title and you cost me the WWE Title this past Sunday!” As Daniel yells and berates AJ, she begins to cower. “The simple fact that you are talking to me right now could impact my Money in the Bank Qualifying match later. I wanted to give you a taste of your own medicine on Monday. As long as you keep costing me my title matches, I’ll cost you yours. Though honestly, I fully expect Kharma to squash you like the insignificant bug that you are.” AJ is in tears now as Bryan doesn’t even seem to care. Kaitlyn runs out to the defense of her friend and she shouts at Daniel. He waves her off but says that he has a match to prepare for, so he leaves. Kaitlyn goes to check on AJ, who is just not in good shape mentally. As she tries to help her friend, AJ slaps her across the face, just like she did on Raw. The fans boo as AJ seems to snap out of it and looks sorry, but leaves the ring without apologizing. “AJ Lee is just an unstable woman right now” says Josh Matthews.
Returning, highlights are shown of the vicious brawl this past Sunday between Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose. We then cut to a handheld video, shot by Ambrose. “I have to admit it. You certainly surprised me at No Way Out Randall. I wanted the Viper and you gave him to me. That was fun wasn’t it?” That smile turns a bit more serious as he continues. “But this isn’t over Randall. Next week, I have a Money in the Bank Qualifying match but that doesn’t mean that my focus isn’t still on you. We are far from through son. I brought the Viper back, but my next step is to kill that snake. Trust me, I’m a man of my word Randall.” MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: CHRISTIAN DEF. TITUS O’NEIL W/ ABRAHAM WASHINGTON
Since the suspension of Darren Young, we haven’t seen Titus O’Neil, but he got a big singles opportunity here. Titus overpowered the former World Heavyweight Champion in the early stages, but Christian weathered through the storm and was able to connect with the Killswitch to qualify. Christian celebrates his victory as the WWE Universe cheers him on. Matt Striker enters the ring for a word with Captain Charisma. He asks for his thoughts on qualifying tonight. Christian responds by saying that it’s been a bit of a rough year. “I know that I’ve let some of the Peeps down when I lost to Cody Rhodes and Dean Ambrose, but this is the shot in the arm that Captain Charisma needs.” The crowd pops as he says that he plans on winning the Money in the Bank briefcase and becoming World Heavyweight Champion just like he did last year. He ends it with a triumphant “because that’s how I roll”, which he hasn’t used in a long time. A graphic appears reminding us that Wade Barrett will address the fans tonight following his successful title defense at No Way Out.
A promo is shown for the historic 1000th episode of Raw, coming on July 23rd. It highlights the fact that the Rock will be making an appearance, as well as the announcement of the Raw 1000 Draft!
Backstage, Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre are talking. Drew states that they are the best Champions in the WWE and he understands why John Laurinaitis handpicked them. Wade responds by agreeing and telling Drew that he doesn’t have to stick around tonight. “Are you sure?” asks Drew, and Wade waves him off, saying that he wants to go out there alone. MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: DANIEL BRYAN DEF. BIG SHOW
Much like their bouts earlier in the year over the World Heavyweight Championship, this was a battle of speed vs. power. Daniel Bryan used his quickness to evade Big Show, but on the occasions where he did get caught, he would get manhandled. Bryan used his wits though as a turnbuckle that he exposed came into play. Bryan countered a move that sent Show into the exposed, but the referee’s angle didn’t allow him to see the buckle was exposed. Bryan followed with a massive running knee strike that was enough. A mixed reaction emerges as Daniel Bryan celebrates his tainted victory. He now joins Dolph Ziggler and Christian as the first competitors in the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank Ladder match. We are reminded that Bryan won that match last year and looks to join CM Punk as a repeat winner. Backstage, Wade Barrett is shown walking towards the arena as he’s coming out to address the WWE Universe, next! A promo is shown for Money in the Bank, live on Sunday, July 15th! We are taken to a graphic announcing that next week’s Money in the Bank Qualifying matches include Dean Ambrose taking on the Great Khali and Sin Cara going one on one with Cody Rhodes.
Cutting to the ring, Wade Barrett steps through the curtain to a heated response from the fans in Baltimore. He doesn’t care as he is sporting a huge smile as he strolls to the ring. Once inside, he continues to let the “Barrett sucks” chants wash over him before speaking. He starts by telling the fans that he told them so. “I told each and every single one of you that I would become the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania and I did. I told you that I would beat Randy Orton at Extreme Rules and I did. I told you that I would beat Alberto Del Rio and guess what? I did just that. You all need to understand that when I was handpicked by Mr. John Laurinaitis, it wasn’t simply because he liked me. It was because I am the greatest Superstar in the history of this company.” He continues to brag for a few before he’s cut off by “Voices”. The crowd pops as Randy Orton walks down to the ring, while Barrett is visibly upset. Orton grabs a microphone and rips into Wade, telling him that he’s not the greatest Superstar in WWE history. “If you remember Wade, it was me who won the Royal Rumble and me, who would have taken that belt from you at Extreme Rules if it wasn’t for Dean Ambrose.” Wade reminds everyone that he beat Randy at Elimination Chamber and again at Extreme Rules, no matter what happened. “The simple fact is, I get it done when it counts and you don’t.” Their bickering is cut off by the theme of the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus to a huge ovation from the fans. He has a microphone in hand already and he tells both Wade Barrett and Randy Orton that he’s tired of this. “I think myself and the WWE Universe has seen Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett a few too many times already. Randy, you couldn’t get it done and you need to get past that. And Wade. Well, Wade…you’re just an arse.” The crowd pops at the jib in the direction of the World Heavyweight Champion. “The fact of the matter is, and I don’t know if you two have noticed, but for the past few months I’ve been on a bit of a roll. After beating Dolph Ziggler in a Two out of Three Falls match this past Sunday, I think it’s about that time I get a World Title shot.” The crowd cheers this as the three men stare each other down. Suddenly, Barrett strikes Sheamus and the three men begin to go at it. Their brawl leads to Sheamus attempting to Brogue Kick only for Wade to dodge, and Orton to take the kick. Wade rolls out of the ring and retreats up the ramp as Sheamus stares him down and Orton is laid out behind him. “The World Title picture is getting very interesting” says Booker T as the show fades out. WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Friday 22nd June 2012…Dolph Ziggler opening up the show made sense, talking up his recent feud with Sheamus. I’m wondering if you decide to roll with Ziggler potentially winning the Money in the Bank briefcase for SmackDown, to be honest. When I think about it now, I’m kind of weary to the next WWE Draft taking place around now. It’s awkward with the RAW and SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder matches taking place when you think about it. I would have maybe waited until after SummerSlam, but alright. Pretty straight forward promo with Ziggler, although a triple threat qualifying match for Dolph with Air Boom was kind of strange. Ziggler with the win overcoming the former WWE Tag Team Champions did make sense, it was a little odd to see Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne going at it with one another though. I do think that Ziggler should have cheated to win to help his heel persona, mind you. Overall, unsure about this. I’m wondering who the spot monkey high flyer in the SmackDown match will be now. I kind of like the idea of Ryback siding with the Real Americans – I’m not sure about Ryback as a heel this early, but hopefully he breaks off over time. Simple win for Ryback against that darn foreigner, Justin Gabriel. Basic promo afterwards, you have a lot of enhancement for Ryback as a character to do. Hopefully he gets to talk at some point instead of Zeb Colter (I think he could hold a pretty decent promo back then) and reveals himself as the muscle in this faction. Seems like a pretty promo-heavy show with another talk segment next. AJ Lee addressing Kharma was nice, although this seemed to set up the business with Daniel Bryan further. Bryan running down AJ made great sense for his character – he was gold around this time period. Interesting segment, I suspect that AJ will turn on Daniel Bryan and cost him the qualifying match later on – that or we start seeing signs of AJ Lee turning crazy in a slow-burn fashion. Dean Ambrose with the handheld video promo is a nice touch that I think he would have had as a singles star. I suspect that Ambrose and Randy Orton will both qualify for Money in the Bank. Again though, I’m unsure about promos advertising next week when this is a two-hour show and I think you could have slipped him in tonight. Recovery time after the No Way Out match with Orton though, I suppose. Christian winning against Titus O’Neil made sense, let’s hope the veteran doesn’t get concussed here. I hope that Abraham Washington doesn’t say anything too controversial, too. Hopefully when Darren Young returns the Prime Time Players can get in a decent run. Maybe not for some time though, given that the WWE Tag Team Championships are currently in possession of the Real Americans, other heels. Daniel Bryan defeating Big Show was strange, and it did give Bryan his heat back after losing to CM Punk previously, but I’m not sure about Daniel Bryan entering Money in the Bank for a second year in a row. Unless he becomes the new CM Punk in winning two back-to-back ladder matches, I don’t see him winning honestly. You may have made a good decision holding back on Wade Barrett talking up until now as you let the undercard breathe for the majority of this show. Randy Orton coming to call out Barrett was nice – I suppose this is a feud restarter with Orton after their awesome couple of matches at the end of 2011. Sheamus then entering the fold is nice – I guess I wouldn’t mind seeing Sheamus get in his World Heavyweight Championship reign. Where does this leave Alberto Del Rio now though? I assume that this sets up a triple threat match for Money in the Bank: though really, I want to see more Orton and Ambrose, perhaps in a gimmick match environment. I don’t think their beef is done yet. Hopefully Sheamus wins come Money in the Bank. Overall, this started the build for the next pay-per-view, pretty basic stuff for the main part. My main gripe is whether or not the WWE Draft next week affects any of this. I think maybe you should have held off on big angles until after the Draft is complete.

Okay, Smackdown. Smack! IT! DOWN! Just like Ray Rice's wife. WHOOP, DERE IT IS! Get it, cause it was in Baltimore? Hey, my next Raw is in the same arena! That's weird. Anyway, moving on to the actual show from The Kevstaaa. Bitch. Dolph Ziggler getting some opening promo time was pretty cool, calling out Money in the Bank qualifying opponents was a nice touch. Gave the Money in the Bank a little bit of hype. Oddly, but it did so. Ziggy qualifying over Bourne and Kingston was the right call, although I hope Kofi gets another shot just for the spot monkeyness and because I have a soft spot for him. Maybe a soft spot in my head for putting the belt on him for a few months. That didn't go over as well as I wanted. Hm. Cody Rhodes as Money in the Bank actually doesn't sound too bad of an idea. I actually think he could win. Ryback beating Justin Gabriel was obviously, although it is still weird to picture him as a Real American. Going to have to get used to it. AJ Lee is crazy! SHE'S CRAZY DAMN IT! D'OH! DON'T SAY THAT SHE'LL LOSE IT AGAIN! A good promo from her, snappy snappy time. Ambrose gets a Money in the Bank qualifier, eh? Shame he won't win it, eh? Christian qualifying was for the best. Millions of dollas... down the drain. Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre. Commonwealth. Wink wink smiley. Daniel Bryan qualifying for Money in the Bank, of course, over Big Show. I wonder what Show is going to be left to now? I hope he doesn't get Cody Rhodes again and Cody actually gets in the Money in the Bank. Nice promo to conclude the show, but I feel weird about the Randy Orton involvement. I'll accept a triple threat between these guys, but, I would rather like to see him continue things with Ambrose. Based off of Dean's interview earlier, I feel like it isn't. We'll see. A very nice episode of Smackdown that did a good job building for Money in the Bank.

Before I get started, I want to say that I accept the draft coming back. I hope you really give equal focus to both brands. Now onto Smackdown. A good opening promo from Dolph Ziggler. I hope this is the start of a new and more serious Ziggler. He has all the tools of being a main event star, so I'd be down with him getting a good push. A good win for Ziggler to qualify for the Money in the Bank, I'm hoping he wins it. Now you have me conflicted between Ziggler and Rhodes. There is so much potential in these two, that I hope one of them walks out with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Oh yeah, Ryback is with the Real Americans. I can dig it. This was a total squash, though. Give Gabriel a small push please. That AJ Lee is crazy. She's crazy, I tell ya. A good promo there. I'm interested in seeing where things go with AJ Lee and Kaitlyn. Good promo from Ambrose. Interested to see where you take him now. Decent win for Christian, but I don't see him winning the Money in the Bank match. I like the pairing of Drew and Barrett. A big win for Bryan, see what I did there? The running knee strike has already debuted? Okay, I guess. I don't see Bryan becoming a repeat winner though. I think AJ Lee will screw him over, perhaps tip the ladder over when he's about to win? A really solid promo to close the show. I think we may get a Triple Threat at MitB. Overall, a really good episode of Smackdown. Good job man.

SmackDown now and an interesting way to open up. Dolph Ziggler has to drop Vickie if he's going to get over properly, I think. Pleased to see him win his qualifying match and go on to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. I think he could be a potential winner. I'm still not sure on Ryback's alignment with the Real Americans, just feels thrown together to me. Interesting situation brewing with AJ Lee and Kaitlyn. Happy that Christian made it into the MITB Match, but I don't see him winning. I think even at this point it was too late for him. Daniel Bryan joins the fray! Lots of potential in that match, but I'm still thinking it'll be Ziggler that leaves with the briefcase and throws Vickie to the curb. Wade Barrett, Randy Orton and Sheamus in the World Title picture? Very SmackDown. I wouldn't mind seeing Orton take the gold though coming off his feud with Dean Ambrose.

June 25th, 2012 | Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana | Attendance: 8,562
Following the WWE signature and Raw opening video, we are taken to the arena in Fort Wayne. “Cult of Personality” hits as the WWE Champion, CM Punk, makes his way to the ring and he looks like he means business. “The last time we saw CM Punk, he was taken out by Chris Jericho” explains Michael Cole as we are shown footage of the attack. Punk gets in the ring and is handed a microphone. “January 2nd. That was the day that “it began”. After weeks of those creepy and cryptic messages, we finally got the return of Chris Jericho. Except this wasn’t the same Jericho that we’ve all knew and loved. His first action on that night was to attack me. Trust me, I tried to get my hands on him but old Clown Shoes John Laurinaitis had him protected. Eventually, I ended up with bigger things to worry about, like my WWE Championship.” Punk continues as the crowd hangs on his every word. He says that last week, Chris Jericho decided to target him once again. “That was all the reminding I needed Chris. Get your ass out here and face the Best in the World, like a man.” He doesn’t have to wait for long as the lights in the arena go completely out. The theme of Chris Jericho hits as he makes his slow walk down to the ring and has a microphone in hand. When he gets into CM Punk’s face, he begins to talk. “First of all, you need to stop calling yourself the Best in the World. That is a lie. For years, I went around and told people that I was the Best in the World at what I do. Even though I no longer care about this company, that hasn’t changed. I beat John Cena three times in a row and made him tap out.” The crowd gives a mixed reaction to this as Jericho continues. He calls Punk a paper champion who only dreams of being half as good as he is. “Do you want to know why I attacked you when I returned? It was because of that.” Jericho points to the WWE Championship. “Besides the fact that you lie to these imbeciles and call yourself the Best, you have what I want. But then I lost at the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.” Jericho claims that he needed to beat John Cena to get right back to where he started on January 2nd. Right back to the WWE Title and CM Punk. Punk listens to all of this before responding. “So you feel that the best way to destroy the WWE is to take this from me? Hell, all you had to do was ask. You’re not going to destroy the WWE while I am its Champion. I am what I say I am and that is the Best in the World. I don’t say it because I want to be like you, because I’m insecure or because I need to make myself feel better. I say it because I am it. You and me Chris. I’ll put the WWE Title on the line right now.” The crowd pops hard for this and want the match but Jericho just smirks. He accepts the challenge, but not for tonight, claiming he does things on his own terms. “Why don’t we do this at Money in the Bank? Last year you made your mark by beating John Cena in your hometown. This year, I end your run at the top of the company.” Punk agrees, “That’s fine with me. But, after last week, I also owe you for two attacks.” Punk strikes Jericho with the microphone and takes him down to the mat. Both men exchange blows until security and officials run down to separate them. If this was any indication, Money in the Bank is going to be explosive!
Returning, we get a recap of the opening promo and a graphic showing that the match has been made official. CM Punk will defend the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank against Chris Jericho! WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: THE REAL AMERICANS [C] W/ ZEB COLTER & RYBACK DEF. AIRBOOM TO RETAIN THE TITLESAfter defeating the new champions last week, the Usos were on commentary during this. They still need help talking, so this was a bit rough at times. The match, however, was anything but rough. It was on par with their No Way Out contest. It featured a bunch of crisp double team moves and impressive shows of strength from the Champions, specifically Antonio Cesaro. It was Jack Swagger who won for his team after a gutwrench powerbomb on Kofi Kingston. Zeb Colter gets in the ring and hands the titles to his team. Ryback stands outside and stares a hole through the Usos, who are, in turn, staring at the champions. Commentary mentions that the Usos are definitely in line for a title shot after beating the Real Americans last week.
A promo airs for the 1000th episode of Raw. The Rock makes his return, along with the historic Raw 1000 Draft!
Backstage, Executive Order is shown in their office. John Laurinaitis is complaining to Eve that he is worried about what’s going to happen after Mark Henry’s attack on Triple H last week. David Otunga can be seen in the back, warming up for his Money in the Bank Qualifying match, while Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre watch the show on a big screen TV. Mark Henry enters and Laurinaitis quickly gets to his feet. Henry says, “Now I know you’re worried about what happened last week, but you need to not be. I’m gonna beat Alberto Del Rio tonight and get into Money in the Bank. There ain’t a damn thing Triple H can do about that.” MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: THE MIZ W/ MASON RYAN DEF. R-TRUTH
The crowd was not pleased to see the Miz back, though he was sporting a new look. He came to the ring in shades and a trench coat, while his titantron looked like a movie preview. Movie star Miz proved to know what he was doing in the ring as he picked up the win following the Skull Crushing Finale. The audience boos as the Miz gets to his feet. He points at ringside, so Mason Ryan grabs a microphone and brings it to him. “Quiet on the set. Can I please have quiet on the set?” The crowd continues to boo but he just says “Thank you. Tonight, you are all witnessing the rebirth of the Miz. You see, in 2011 I won the main event of WrestleMania. But by this year, I was in a giant tag team match where I didn’t get the opportunity to shine. That’s just wrong. A star of my caliber needs to be a focal point.” Miz mentions that with his recent Hollywood success as the Marine, there is no way that he can’t be a vital part of the WWE show, especially with Mason Ryan by his side. “I just qualified for Money in the Bank, which I will win for the second time in my career. Then, I will cash in once again and headline WrestleMania once again because nobody in the WWE is more box office than me.” He ends the promo with his signature catchphrase. A promo is shown for Smackdown this Friday. With Money in the Bank on the horizon, Wade Barrett is without a number one contender. Sheamus and Randy Orton both staked their claim and now have a shot. In this week’s main event, the “Celtic Warrior” takes on the “Viper” with the winner getting a World Title shot at Money in the Bank!
Scott Stanford is seen catching up with Ryback. He asks Ryback about his affiliation with the Real Americans. Ryback responds, “My affiliation is the same as Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. We are all Real Americans. I wasn’t doing so hot in trying to get to the WWE when I met Zeb Colter. We shared a passion for two things. This country and sports entertainment.” Ryback goes on to say that he jumped at the chance to join up with the Real Americans and claim that Zeb Colter makes Champions, meaning that he’ll be one very soon. MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: JOHN CENA DEF. DAVID OTUNGA
In the midst of the toughest year of his professional career, John Cena looked to turn things around tonight. David Otunga got in more offense than he would have back at the start of the year. That could be chalked up to improvement from Otunga, struggles from Cena or a combination of both. Regardless, Cena was able to make him tap out to the STF. John Cena jumps to his feet and does his signature taunt. He has now qualified for his first Money in the Bank ladder match and that could be the huge turnaround that he needs in 2012. “Beating David Otunga is one thing, but beating six other men in a ladder match is a totally different animal” states Jerry Lawler. A graphic appears showing that Cena, Miz, Zack Ryder and Drew McIntyre have all qualified for Money in the Bank so far. Backstage, Zack Ryder is watching on a monitor when Kane enters. Ryder goes for a fist bump but doesn’t get one. “What gives bro?” Kane responds by saying that he isn’t fist bumping him until he qualifies for Money in the Bank too. Kane informs Zack that next week, he has a qualifying match against Brodus Clay. “That’s sick bro. One of us is going to be WWE Champion” says Ryder as he tries for a high five now. Kane shakes his head and walks off, leaving Zack hanging. Cutting to another camera, AJ Lee is shown skipping backstage as she will be ringside for the next match.
Returning, a recap is shown from Smackdown where AJ Lee called out her ex-boyfriend Daniel Bryan. After he berated her, Kaitlyn came out to console her best friend. Instead of feeling better, AJ slapped her for the second time that week. As AJ Lee skips out to the ring to watch the upcoming match, Matt Striker is shown interviewing Kaitlyn on the titantron. He asks for her thoughts on the slaps. Kaitlyn answers, “You know Matt, when both of them happened, I was initially furious. This is my best friend hat we’re talking about since day one of NXT Season 3 and here she is slapping me when I’m just trying to help. But, that anger passes and I realize that AJ is someone in serious pain. What Daniel Bryan has done to her psyche seems irreparable. Not only has she attacked me, but she seems to be going at Kharma with reckless abandon. That is not smart and I just need her to listen to reason before she gets hurt.” AJ Lee is shown after the interview and she has a concerned look on her face, before snapping into a strange smile. NON-TITLE MATCH: DIVAS CHAMPION KHARMA DEF. ROSA MENDES
Rosa Mendes is not much of a wrestler, as her focus is on managing Primo and Epico. Because of this, Kharma absolutely destroys her in short order. She wins following the Implant Buster. AJ Lee grabs the Divas Championship from the timekeeper’s table and begins to skip around the ring with it. If looks could kill, AJ Lee would have died on the spot as Kharma stared a hole right through her. After two laps around the ring, she places the belt on the apron and skips off. A graphic appears promoting our main event between Alberto Del Rio and Mark Henry, with a spot in Money in the Bank on the line.
Returning, a vignette airs of a man in the woods wearing a Hawaiian shirt. He has a beard and speaks over the video footage of himself and two other bearded men. “This, my dear friends, is only the beginning. I am your guidance, I am your refuge, I am your leader. These men…these men see it. You all will too. My people are aplenty and they will only grow. The new face of fear…hahaha…is also your only face of hope. This is Luke Harper, this is Erick Rowan. I take care of them, just like I will take care of all of you who choose to follow…the…buzzards.” The words “Bray Wyatt is coming to the WWE” flash across the screen to end this. MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: TED DIBIASE DEF. MASON RYAN W/ THE MIZ
After a successful return to the ring earlier tonight, The Miz was back out with his bodyguard Mason Ryan. He was looking for Mason to join him in the Money in the Bank match and his bodyguard looked to be on his way. He showed off his power game throughout, but a well-timed rebound clothesline and school boy allowed Dibiase to qualify. Ted Dibiase quickly rolls out of the ring as the camera catches the Miz looking frustrated with his bodyguard. Mason Ryan got to his feet and was pissed with himself too. Miz entered the ring and shook his head disapprovingly at his bodyguard, but said nothing to him. Backstage, Alberto Del Rio is shown walking towards the arena before we quickly cut away to seeing a limousine pull to the arena. In a classic mid-90’s move, nobody exits just yet.
A promo is shown for this Wednesday’s NXT, featuring the finals of the NXT Championship Tournament. Seth Rollins goes one on one with Damien Sandow! MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: ALBERTO DEL RIO DEF. MARK HENRY
The crowd was more into this match than any other tonight because of Mark Henry costing Alberto Del Rio the World Heavyweight Title at No Way Out. Henry continued his string of impressive dominance after weathering Del Rio’s early flurry of offense. He went for the World’s Strongest Slam, but Del Rio slipped free and managed to lock in the Cross Armbreaker. Henry broke free though and signaled for the slam again. However, Triple H’s theme hit as he stepped onto the stage to a huge pop. This distraction allowed Del Rio to hit a sick kick to the back of the head. This dropped Henry to his knees, where Del Rio followed with a few more vicious kicks and scored the pinfall. As Alberto Del Rio celebrates his win, Triple H continues to walk down to the ring. He is not in a suit like you’d expect from a COO, but in a shirt and jeans. Mark Henry slowly gets to his knees as Triple H grabs a microphone. He says that last week, Henry crossed a line. “I’m back to be the COO of the company and the guy who will be running Raw after this Draft but you chose to do something you never should have Mark. You see, after the Draft on the 1000th episode of Raw, the rosters and my position as General Manager won’t officially go into effect until the night after SummerSlam. Until that time though, I am free to compete if the Board of Directors approve it. After what you did last week, they approve of it all right. You and I have a score to settle.” Henry doesn’t look intimidated and nods his head. Triple H wants to go to war right now. Despite getting kicked in the head, Henry steps forward, but some of the members of Executive Order come out to keep him back. As they go to leave with him, Triple H picks the microphone back up. “Fine, if your little buddies want it to be that way, then so be it. But, we will do this. As a matter of fact, we’ll do this at Money in the Bank. You messed with the wrong guy Mark. I may be the COO of this company, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t kick your ass all over this ring.” Trending Topics: #PunkvsJericho #Raw1000 #TripleH #HollywoodMiz #TagTeamTitles

WWE Monday Night RAW: Monday 25th June 2012…CM Punk opening up the show made sense, making note of what happened last week with Chris Jericho eyeing up his WWE Championship. I am quite surprised that their feud back at the Royal Rumble was so brief, so hopefully this allows Punk and Jericho to have a full length summer feud. I wouldn’t mind seeing them compete at SummerSlam, honestly. Interesting note: have you actually brought Brock Lesnar back in? It’s something I’ve not actually noticed. A Lesnar interaction could strengthen SummerSlam greatly. A good promo here, and it looks like we have our Money in the Bank title match set up – I’m just wondering if you plan on continuing it from there or if you have other plans. The Real Americans beating Air Boom to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships made sense, although Ryback’s interaction in this match managing was pointless considering he didn’t do anything. It was a clean win for the main part, which surprised me from Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger. I would use Ryback as an equalizer and that only at this point. It seems like the Usos are next in line for a title shot, which means I don’t think they’re claiming the titles this early into the Real Americans’ reign. I’d like to see Jimmy and Jey have a great journey to finally winning the titles. It’s all about the chase. I’m surprised that you’re tying RAW 1000 in with the Draft – I would have positioned the Draft as a stand-alone show. It just feels like RAW 1000 should be about storylines continuing, or simply being about nostalgia and novelty stars and appearances: quite similar to real life. The Miz defeating his former partner R-Truth made sense, as Miz should have more going for him here than Truth. I think you could tell a fun story with Miz qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match. I’m kind of sceptical about Miz having his Hollywood star persona this early on, but alright. Mason Ryan as his manager is something for him I suppose. Just try to keep him in a limited role. You know I always forget that the Miz has won Money in the Bank before. I was surprised that Ryback had solo interview time – should have been with the Real Americans to focus on them as a faction: besides, it seems like there’s more going for Cesaro and Swagger than the newcomer Ryback. Besides, Zeb Colter is a dynamite man on the stick. It’s why he’s a great manager! Let’s face it, John Cena was always going to beat old rival David Otunga. I can’t help but feel like you could have given Cena a stronger opponent. Especially since this was under the guise of first hour main event to RAW. But yes, Cena with a win makes it fine. I think Cena could win Money in the Bank – just to fail in his WWE Championship cash-in attempt. Now that’s how to continue Cena’s terrible year angle. Kane and Zack Ryder it appears like you’re going for the ‘Team Hell No’ effect. I’m not sure if I buy it or not, frankly. Additionally I think if you want to make Daniel Bryan that top babyface effect he got in 2013, he’d need to be paired with Kane. It’s that series they had with the Shield in the spring of 2013 that really got him over I recall. AJ Lee’s interaction with Kaitlyn was a bit strange, as it appears Kaitlyn is trying to come between AJ and Daniel Bryan – and then we have AJ watching Kharma in action tonight: a lot of multitasking in the WWE right now. I’m not sure if it’s strategic or complex. Yikes, Rosa Mendes is not the right girl to be bumping around for a monster like Kharma. I get that you’re trying to get Kharma over by having her destroy the true Divas of the WWE, but I think you could have used someone that’s a good bumper for the monstrous Divas Champion. It look like Bray Wyatt’s coming to the WWE sooner rather than later. I do think that it’s too soon to be introducing Luke Harper and Erick Rowan though – I’d have left them for later in the vignette series. I would have introduced Wyatt singularly this week, and then began to build on them rather than rushing it out with three unknowns in one load. Ted Dibiase beating Mason Ryan…what? I don’t like Dibiase being in the Money in the Bank ladder match – he’s just so bland. Plus, it’s not believable that he has any chance of winning. But hey, maybe he’s a placeholder for someone else. Miz and Ryan’s relationship is a weird one. And…lastly? I’m not sure if I like Alberto Del Rio and Mark Henry main eventing, honestly. First-hour main eventing, that is believable. Main eventing SmackDown, absolutely. But in the main event of RAW, that’s pretty weak. I would have booked this match as a first-hour main evented and put Jericho and Punk in the spotlight in the main event in some form. It’s just a weak main event for RAW. Del Rio winning is fine, and the post-match seemed to be the main focal point here. Interesting feature from Triple H, but the ending was really vague and didn’t indicate whether Triple H was calling Mark Henry out for a match next week on RAW, or at Money in the Bank. I suspect that it will be at the pay-per-view though, given Triple H’s part-time schedule as an active wrestler these days. Overall, this was an okay show – it was well done in terms of the undercard, but the first-hour main event and main event matches were weak. It seemed like more of a set-up for a better show next week.

Okay, here we go with Raw Supershow. Still sounds weird. CM Punk kicking things off to respond to Chris Jericho was wise based off of what happened last week and a match between the two of them at Money in the Bank should be grand. The Real Americans defending the titles against Airboom successfully was obviously the right decision since they just won the belts. Still feels weird to have Ryback be a part of them, even though he just joined. The Usos and The Real Americans should be a good battle for the belts down the line. There ain't a damn thing Triple H can do about dat, says Mark Henry. Damn skippy, bitch. The Miz beating R-Truth in a Money in the Bank qualifier was fine, obviously he needed it more with his new character coming to life. John Cena gets an easy match up with David Otunga. Remember when they are were tag team champions? Yeah. That happened at one point I guess. Backstage is Zack Ryder and Kane and the comedic, odd team of them continues. Kane's a bitch for not giving a fist bump or a high five. Kaitlyn's best friend hat. Read it again, you'll get it. Har har, am so funny. I don't care for Rosa Mendes getting the job squad duties here even though it was obviously just a job squad, since like you said she isn't much of a wrestler and is a manager. Just feels like a wasted spot for another jobbing diva. I dunno. I'm thinking too much about it. I wonder if Kharma will lose the belt this quickly, though? And when shes does, then what? Hey, The Wyatt Family! They're coming. Ted DiBiase defeating Mason Ryan was fine, even though it seems kind of demoralizing to Mason, whom we're supposed to take seriously as Miz's bodyguard or whatever you want to call him. Finally, Alberto Del Rio gets the victory over Mark Henry rightfully to get in to Money in the Bank. Triple H challenging Mark Henry at Money in the Bank sounds odd, but it works and I get it. A very solid episode of Raw that set some things up properly and well for Money in the Bank.

Strong opening with Punk/Jericho now official. Punk needed the revenge attack to even this out a little.
Glad to see the Real Americans retain. For some reason I never really liked Airboom. Ryback as the bodyguard works I think.
Rock returning is cool, but still not 100% sold on the Draft. Hopefully you make it an interesting show.
Miz defeated R-Truth makes sense. I'm gonna agree with Dan that it may be a little early for his Hollywood gimmick.
Cena over Otunga, again, is obvious and makes sense. Cena can now move on from the losing streak and I would suggest he's now become the favourite for Money in the Bank.
Good to see you using comedy segments. Of course it'd be someone like Kane involved! I like his involvement with Ryder.
Kharma with the squash win is fine by me. You need to make her seem as unstoppable as possible, so maybe so more high profile opponents than Rosa to come?
Ah cool, Wyatt is coming. Interesting to see how you portray him.
DiBiase was so bland and pointless that he doesn't really add anything to Money in the Bank. The same could be said for Mason Ryan but it would have been cool to see him and Miz together in the match.
I'm guessing the limo has Triple H inside?
I actually dislike Del Rio beating Henry, especially after you made him look like such a monster last week. A strong ending with Triple H making the challenge makes up for it. Not really a fan of the match though, don't expect much from it.
An okay show, Kev. Good work.

Raw time. Nice way to open up considering last weeks events. I think the physicality could have held off until maybe next week, but it lets Punk get the upper hand. A good retaining victory for the Real Americans, I'm starting to get on board with Ryback's involvement, but I still think it's a bit odd. Would've been cool to see R-Truth go over here but Miz makes sense with Mason Ryan behind him. An obvious victory for John Cena here. He was never really going to lose. Clear victory for Kharma, I hope she does retain over AJ Lee when it comes to it because I just can't see it happening. Bray Wyatt to debut? Good move. Pleased that Ted DiBiase qualified here as Ryan can always still make an appearance in Miz's corner. I think the loss for Mark Henry hurt him here, especially as he's supposed to be going into this angle with Triple H as a monster. I look forward to their encounter though.
