So it seems to be that he's being pushed to the moon since he returned. He's been putting on great matches and the crowd has been behind him more than they may have ever been since the night he first won the WHC. Now do you think he is going to lose at SS and retire on Raw or is this leading to the biggest win of his career and have a decent and lengthy run where after he loses he will continue to chase the title with 2 rematches or so leading to his retirement after he loses. I'm hoping Christian walks out of SummerSlam as champion and all this build with him on a streak, the video packages, and everything weren't just for him to lose. Thoughts?

I'm hoping it's his retirement. He's had a great career, he's made a ton of money, and he's earned a place in the Hall of Fame. Christian's a guy I'll always have fond memories of. But I've got no interest in seeing him on TV anymore. Have him on the live events working with younger talent or something, but as a TV character, I find him pretty much unwatchable these days.

I just want Del Rio dead and gone from the title picture.

I hope this is not his retirement. I feel he still has a lot to offer to the product and should be given the chance to shine as a champion at least once.

In a recent interview someone said that Vince McMahon's opinion on him is that he looks ratty and should have a blue dot over his face when he comes to the ring as a gimmick. So unless someone else is pushing for it in the back I don't see him getting the strap. Though considering the WHC is now an upper-mid card title I'd have no issue with Christian getting a final run with it.

Christian is my favourite wrestler of all time just narrowly behind Chris Jericho. The guy can still go and he has proven to be a brilliant enhancement talent for the younger guys on the roster.
However, in this situation I am hoping he is just that. Enhancement. I love me some Christian, but I am absolutely loving Del Rio's reign way too much. I know it's an unpopular opinion around here but I think he's been knocking it out of the park and I hope to see him hold on to that title for a long ass time. Perhaps we can go full circle and he can drop the belt to Ziggler towards the end of the year.

I'm shocked by this post. I feel like we must be watching two completely different wrestlers named Christian. I think Christian is one of the most entertaining people on the WWE's roster week in and week out. I think Christian wins the title at Summer Slam.

I just want Del Rio dead and gone from the title picture. I can't stand Del Rio, I think he's the worst superstar on the roster. I hope Christian wins and has a lengthy run but I don't see it happening.

I mean some people say they want younger guys to have the belt so Christian wont win it, but do you all realize Del Rio is only about 2 years younger than Christian

Bryan and Christian winning the belts on the same night would be too sweet. I hope it happens.

I think he's definitely going to lose now. He's one-upped Del Rio every week, and usually that's a recipe for a PPV loss. I really do want to see him win, though, and I'm very curious as to where they're trying to go with this whole "one more match" storyline. I highly doubt Christian would've worked hard over the past year to come back just for two months or whatever if he was planning on retiring soon.

I have a problem with the part time wrestlers winning. If someone is going to be there week after week then I'm fine with them winning the title. I'd rather have Christian be champion over Del Rio but the way they've built this match I'm 99% sure Christian is losing.

I'm shocked by this post. I feel like we must be watching two completely different wrestlers named Christian. I think Christian is one of the most entertaining people on the WWE's roster week in and week out. Him and Edge were my favourite tag team ever. I adored Christian from 2000 to 2005. I thought he was one of the most entertaining people on the roster eight years ago. But in 2013, he looks like a weird, frail old man and he does nothing except have pointless matches with no buildup. And I hate any wrestler doing that, but at least with the young guys, they still have time to evolve past it to something more meaningful. With Christian, it's like he's just hanging around for no reason. He's already gone as far as he'll ever go, and now he's just taking a roster spot. If I'm gonna watch wrestling and it's just gonna be pointless matches with no buildup, I'd rather it be with new guys that I haven't already seen wrestle a million times. I'd be surprised, given the way the storyline has gone. Although as much as I don't want to watch Christian anymore, I want to watch Del Rio even less. I want that Vince McMahon spontaneous combustion finish in their match rather than the WWE title one. Or Christian to win, retire, and then have a six-way match or something for the vacant title at the following PPV.

I like Christian. I really do. Always have.
But...
He's been getting ZERO crowd reaction since returning from injury.
Christian will lose.

I think they're putting the title on him to set up Sandow's cash in.

When's people gonna realize that Christian will only win World Titles when he's best friend retires as champion. Also, when's people gonna realize when the champion gets pinned by the challenger before the title match, he's gonna get his win back in the title match.

Why the hell do people want him to retire?
I want Christian lose the match and chase the WWE championship.
