When's people gonna realize that Christian will only win World Titles when he's best friend retires as champion. Also, when's people gonna realize when the champion gets pinned by the challenger before the title match, he's gonna get his win back in the title match. Wonder if Rhyno's thinking about retiring

I think they're putting the title on him to set up Sandow's cash in.

This match opens the show, Christian wins, Sandow cashes in.
Three matches later we get Cody vs. Sandow, now for the World Title.

I can't believe how the IWC has turned against Christian. Two years ago the IWC was calling for Vince's head if Christian didn't win the world title. Now it seems as if every wrestling forum I go to people want him to retire.
Christian has been my favorite wrestler since 2002 and the guy is still putting on better matches than 95% of the roster. Every time he steps into the ring you know you'll get a solid match at worst. Hes IMO the best seller the WWE has and can make anyone look good. I've heard people claim hes boring but I couldn't disagree more. He never gets any mic time anymore. If the WWE let him talk a little each week the newer fans would know why his nickname is "Captain Charisma."
Its doubtful that he'll win given Vince hates the guy but I have hope that he will. If Rey friggin Mysterio can be given a 4 month title reign Christian deserves one too. Either way I hope Christian has a ton of gas left in the tank because he is one of the WWE's best performers.

I'd like to see him win the WHC, go on a little run and then Sandow gets it from him.

Yeah, it's really strange to me that they make such an emphasis on making sure they call him Captain Charisma several times during each of his matches, but he rarely gets any mic time to justify the nickname. I think he's a very natural talker and a few promos would have given his Summerslam match with ADR a lot more juice. Del Rio is a pretty bland character, in and out of the ring, so the buildup has been pretty dull so far.

In a recent interview someone said that Vince McMahon's opinion on him is that he looks ratty and should have a blue dot over his face when he comes to the ring as a gimmick. So unless someone else is pushing for it in the back I don't see him getting the strap. Though considering the WHC is now an upper-mid card title I'd have no issue with Christian getting a final run with it. Does it even matter what Vince says about talent anymore? Doesn't Triple H basically pull all the strings now backstage

I'm hoping it's his retirement. He's had a great career, he's made a ton of money, and he's earned a place in the Hall of Fame. Christian's a guy I'll always have fond memories of. But I've got no interest in seeing him on TV anymore. Have him on the live events working with younger talent or something, but as a TV character, I find him pretty much unwatchable these days. I agree

I see him losing. But, I want him to win. Anything to get the title off of Alboreto.

I don't understand how anyone can possibly say they want Christian to retire. Sure, his character doesn't exactly have a ton of depth right now, but that isn't his fault. If he were given more mic time, there's no doubt that he would shine. From an in-ring perspective, he's still fantastic. He can have a great match with anyone.
Christian is the perfect utilitarian guy to have on the roster. He's like a Swiss Army knife in that he offers a little bit of everything. He can be a face or a heel, a mid-carder or a main-eventer, a singles wrestler of a tag-team guy, serious or comedic. He's the type of guy you can put in any situation and he won't be out of place. He should have a spot on the roster for as long as he wants to keep wrestling.
By the way, I fully expect him to win the world title at SummerSlam, and I'm excited to see what types of feuds he could potentially have moving forward.

Christian is one of the most fluent and consistent performers with incredible talent in this business.gh I don't see him retiring just yet either, he might be getting older but look at where RVD is! Is RVD retiring right now? As he's older than Christian

It isn't like he is drastically injured and having his career threatened. I don't think he'll retire just yet...
I do think he is on the verge of it, but I don't think Summerslam will be him winning and retiring, rather him winning and continuing his chase.

I'm hoping for a Captain Charisma championship win. I'm bored of Del Rio, and I love Christian. Easy decision.

Del rio loses to Christian, Christian loses to Sandow, they turn the Sandow vs. Cody match into a world title match. Sandow loses to Cody. And it sets up for a 4 way at night of champions

This match opens the show, Christian wins, Sandow cashes in. Three matches later we get Cody vs. Sandow, now for the World Title. I don't think this will open I think the ring of fire will have to open like it always does
