its not impossible and it is more likely now that wwe is letting razor be in a new game.
thq had a list of legends they would present to wwe for evey game and razor was on every list. everytime wwe said no to razor
now they are letting him in 2k14 so this is good news. it means nothing figure wise but its a step in the right direction.
ddp must have succeeded in getting hall clean
and like others said. this puts hall back in the spotlight, mattel loves making charachters that are getting 'tv' time. wwe 13 definetly influenced flashbacks this and last year so why not wwe 2k14

Unfortunately it doesn't mean anything for figures.

2K deals do not equal Mattel deals.

2K deals do not equal Mattel deals. Of course but him being the game must certainly allow for Hall to sign a deal with the WWE to get a figure made since 2K wouldn't have put him in the game without WWE's permission.

That's how I see it too. If they're not against a wrestler being in a game and representing their company in a round about way, especially representing Wrestlemania in this case, which is their superbowl, you'd have to believe that they wouldn't be against an action figure. Not to mention that a video game character is more lively and realistic than an inanimate object. That being said, we can't really blame mattel for wrestlers not being made yet. in a perfect world we'd have everybody we want made right away. Patience sucks, but I really think in time we'll see a lot of greats made, like hogan, Hall, flair, Goldberg, etc. Heck, I'm still waiting for my Doink, and I'm pretty sure they could make them any time they want as they don't have to go outside the company for a deal.

While I understand how the Video game & action figure contracts work out...what we're looking at is this. 2K was willing to go out (with WWEs permission) and sign the names they needed to make their product the most complete and accurate that they could. Mattel (excluding Hogan since he's in TNA) hasnt with their refusal to sign/make anyone that's not under a Legends Deal. As a collector, that's disappointing. There's a chance in 5 years Mattel wont have the rights to WWE figures and we still wont have a Hogan or Flair and THAT would ultimately make the Legends/Flashback line a failure. That would be like making the Justice League but not releasing Superman and Batman.

People definitely need to distinguish Mattel Design Team and Mattel Corporate in situations like this one. People seem to hurl insult after insult at MDT when it's obviously corporate's decision not to chase signatures. Think about how many jobs you've had where you had to do something you didn't support because it was in your company's policy.

I have seen Scott Hall twice in the last 3 weeks. I told him I was happy to see he is in WWE2k14. I also told him about the fan interest in a Mattel figure. He is aware of it. His eyes lit up when he mentioned a survey where he was the most wanted figure being made over Goldberg. He then said the survey had been taken down. I was not aware of the survey, but believe he has to be a must. I mentioned how Mattel has been releasing NWO figures and how I felt no collection would be complete without a Hall and Hogan NWO figure. He told me he does not have a legends contract, but hopes to work for the WWE again in the future. I firmly believe Scott wants to have the figures we want of him made. Only time will tell.

2K deals do not equal Mattel deals. Well, maybe it should. We want Scott Hall/Razor Ramon. You know this. We, as the consumers, demand for it. We, your customers, want it. You, as the provider, should provide it. We don't give a damn about the circumstances surrounding WHY Mattel feels the need to not do it. We just want whatever that stupid something is, to be rectified. If it's the lame excuse because of his ESPN story, BOGUS. You have figures of Jake the Snake, a known past druggie, and Jimmy Snuka, girlfriend murderer. If it's because WWE is blocking it for some reason, then you need to be doing more to reasoning with them. Things CAN be done. Instead, of just brushing us off with a "Ugh, not this again..." (as you have done in the past) or a response such as this, what you need to be doing, as our middle man, is going to your bosses and saying "Hey, look, the demand is really there, we should probably pursue this". We're not asking for a Chris Benoit. We're not demanding something unreasonable. He's a large part of the history of wrestling, and the character, despite what Mattel feels about the man, deserves to be honored.

Second off, your whole "take a stand" thing is not working. If it was up to Mattel, I bet we'd have a Razor figure by now. Unfortunately, there is way more to it than that, mainly the WWE and Razor himself.

So, until you receive those capabilities--how about I'll bump any ol' thread I want to, especially when I'm replying TO someone? Who made you the arbiter of all things WFigs etiquette, anyway? Go away, child. And secondly...this is the first time I've commented n it, so I'm not exactly what bodily crevice you're pulling the whole "my whole take a stand thing" from.
