Was at a Kmart today and saw it for the first time. I looked for a few minutes but ultimately passed. The price (51.99) was part of the reason.

I think it's a great addition to an arena! However I only display it. Haven't found myself playing with it. So it's really all about preference. If you want something other than just a ring and stage to play with or display, then hell yeah it's worth it. If you don't have space or need for additions, then no, I'd say it wouldn't be

Yep, the GM office is all cardboard besides the door wall. And the entrance cape portion is all cardboard. Everything else is plastic.

Yea i was greatly disappointed when I opened it up and realized only like 3 "units" of the backstage area are actually plastic. Everything is cardboard and quite honestly this really should be more in the $20-$30 range at best. Its still not terrible but I think over time Ill eventually pick up a few extra pieces here and there and make it a complete plastic backstage and get rid of teh cardboard junk. Especially once it goes on sale for like $15 cause I think Mattel is going to have a hard time moving this.

The cardboard pieces turned me off. Cardboard, Mattel? I was super excited to get the backstage set myself. Until I saw the reviews of most of it being cardboard. If you try and put it away in a box, you risk it getting crumpled up. The stage was basically almost the same price and that is made of all plastic and has great quality. I might get a used one myself down the line. $50 bucks in this economy is rough for card board for me!

It is worth getting, but I know they will always go on sale/ clearance, so I'd wait.

It's worth getting for me. I'm going to pick one up as soon as I find one at retail.

It depends on personal preference like @brandon said. I myself have the Jakks Backstage mayhem set from 2000 and just did a new paint job on it and I am pleased with the turn out. Think of it this way, with the way things will forever be, something new will come along and the old will go away. If the cardboard ever gets messed up from being in a box or anything, the set loses its value.

At 51.99 hell no. $30-$35 is fair enough. The box weighs the same as the Tensai elite. Lol I was tempted but ultimately passed.

the fact that half of it is cardboard honestly makes it no more appealing than the backstage jakks set. even the garage door part is basically the same.

It is when it hits clearance That's what everyone said about the Entrance Stage and it still hasn't hit clearance.. $46 isn't too bad if you ask me. Sure, the stage could use the side piece and a port to plug an iPod into would have been amazing but it is a nice piece to own due to the action features, lights, music etc.

I bought the stage for 51.99.. worth every penny. I love the thing (aside from the cardboard Raw overhead logo)
I'm just reminding people who are still waiting on the stage to go on clearance and who are saying they'll wait until the backstage set is on clearance, that there are no signs of it dropping in price anytime soon.
