Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone here is in training for a wrestling company? I train in a place called 'Basix Wrestling' in Wales, I've been going for more than a year. If you asked me if I was any good at it, I would say I'm a 4/10. I still need some more improvement. The training itself is awesome, we do suplexes, top rope moves, sunset flips, spears, clotheslines, and spots and such. and at the end of each lesson, we do Battle Royals if we've behaved Does anyone else here wrestle?

Focalin's on youtube.
Johnny Yuma posts on here sometimes.
Grimkid was a backyard wrestler too apparently.
Kalob Black doesn't really post on here anymore, but he's a local wrestler around here.

In fifth grade, I started my own wrestling company called the KWWE (Kids World Wrestling Entertainment).
It ended when a kid got upset because he was scripted to lose the World Heavyweight Championship.

I was planning to train in Atlanta last year but it didnt work out due to financial reasons so I ended up having to move back home to SC. I wasnt able to get a job making nearly what I make here so it was a no brainer. I would still love to get into it as its always been my dream but there are just no schools near me.

Shane Marvel use to be on here, I sold him most of my TNA Marvel Collection. I'm friends with him now. I'm hoping to get into wrestling sometime this year.

-- I used to, the last ring I was in was the TNA IMPACT ring for a GutCheck seminar, back in Dcember. 3wks later, my health started going downhill and I officially retired on Jan. 9th of this year.
If I live long enough to see a kidney transplant, I intend on hitting the gym once again and see where my health is.. I'd love to make a comeback, but if it's not in the cards, I want to become a trainer and start my own indy promotion (as I have OODLES of ideas).

When I'm old enough I'm going to enroll in Lance Storm's Wrestling Academy. If your gonna go to school, might as well go to the best.

If your gonna go to school, might as well go to the best. -- It's $3,000 just for the school, not counting living expenses (if you're not from Calgary). For that kind of money, you can do what I did and move to Dan Severn's camp and live/train comfortably for a year. He might even let you train in his MMA classes for free, like he's let students do in the past. (I recommend Michigan Sports Camps to anybody who wants to break in... I was there for 6mo and learned soo much that I didn't even get to incorporate everything I learned into my short lived career).

A couple of years after I'm done school (once I save up the money), I'm moving over to Calgary to train at Lance Storm's school.

Plus, he actually teaches EVERY class himself. It's been called the best school by some of the best. He even had a few people in NXT, and when Storm was training people in OVW, he taught Dolph Ziggler, Mr. Kennedy, Damien Sandow, Bobby Lashley, and every else in developmental at the time.

People train at their own experience level. Some people are naturals and some take time to "get it". Aside from Mr. Severn, my other trainer was Josh Raymond (WSX, ROH), whom spent his first 6 months doing nothing but back bumps before he was ever taught his first move - sometimes it's better to cut your teeth for awhile before you get ahead of yourself. Not discrediting Lance Storm's academy, I've personally have always wanted to visit it. But shelling out that kind of money where nothing is guaranteed - it's ultimately your call. Before I discovered Severn's camp, I had my "hart" set on the Hart Bros. camp, where they were still training guys in the Dungeon, until I found out they wanted close to $3,000 as well - I opted to look elsewhere. It kind of seems like you're at where I once was, but all I can do is offer you advice. True Lance has connections to the E, but if you're truely good enough, you'll get noticed working outside of the connections.
