Really digging Rap God. I can't wait for this album. Tech N9ne's Something Else album is my favorite rap album this year, but I'm sure MMLP2 will give it some competition.

I don't think, lyrically, Em has ever been better than he is right now. His flow in Rap God is absolutely incredible. Counting the days till his album comes out.

I've seen multiple people slam it and say that he's lost it completely and that he's trash now. ing elitist hipters. Ugh. He SLAYS on Rap God.

He's releasing another single this coming week called "The Monster" featuring Rihanna. I really liked her on Love The Way You Lie, some I'm looking forward to hearing this. MMLP2 is only around 2 weeks away

Just pre-ordered the deluxe edition. The place I ordered it from has a history of sending stuff early so here's hoping I get it the day before. I'll probably post on here saying its sick but then that's expected. The question is if it matches MMLP, which won't be clear straight away anyway.

Question: what did everyone here think of Recovery? Just because I've seen a lot of hate that I think is undeserved, and a lot of people saying "Eminem is back!" when I think he already was. Relapse was good (not great) but I really thought Recovery had some awesome tracks, and I really dug it. Wondering what the Eminem fans here thought.

I actually really enjoyed Recovery, but I wish it had the production value of Relapse. That's the only thing bringing the album down for me.
Currently listening to the new single "The Monster". The song has really killed my buzz since "Rap God" came out. It's not a bad song, but not a terribly good one either. I wish Em's verses were longer. Rhianna has a really nice hook, but I'm kind of getting tired of the female hook/chorus thing Em has been on since Recovery. Over all I think the song had a lot of potential to be really great, but I guess this is suppose to be his "radio friendly" single. Not like he needs one, though. Still can't wait for this album to come out though.

Still can't wait for this album to come out though. It's pretty evident just from the chorus and all that that this was clearly a song Em did just for radio play. Anything with Rhianna is going to get a ton of playing time on the airwaves, and if it's somewhat catchy like "Love The Way You Lie" was it might take off. I don't have a problem with it, personally. I'm not really digging the track, either, but I wouldn't judge the rest of the songs based on this one. I thought Recovery was fantastic, BTW. There's, like, two tracks on that entire album I don't listen to regularly anymore. It's my third favorite Em album behind Eminem Show and MMLP. Anyway...the full album leaked earlier this week.

Its sick. The first track talks about how its the final go-round, but I hope not However, he just said he's not quitting in Survival. Hopefully the first track is just Em questioning himself rather than an actual statement of intent. So far I'm loving So Much Better, Stronger Than I Was and So Far, along with the singles already released. I love the reference to Real Slim Shady in So Far. Not a bad song on the album. Of the bonus tracks Beautiful Pain is great, and the last minute of Wicked Ways made me laugh a lot.

"Survival" could be a much better song if Eminem just stuck to one flow. It just seems all over the place.
"Rap God" is ill. Ill lyricism, ill punchlines, ill flow, ill production. That might be the hip-hop song of the year.

I can't get enough of this record. So many top songs. Not a single dud. Stronger than I Was, Rap God, The Monster, Headlights, So Far, Bezerk, Survival, So Much Better and Bad Guy are all great. And the others I haven't mentioned are all class too. AND on the 2nd disc Beautiful Pain is great too, plus the last 90 seconds of Wicked Ways always makes me laugh. I know a few people here knock The Monster but its a great radio tune to chill out to, and I'm really digging it as a lighter song to balance some of the more serious stuff. Only time will tell if I prefer it to Love the Way You Lie, which I also thought was great from day 1.

On my first listen right now. Love most of the verses, hate nearly all of the hooks. Strange. Just seems like he's at the top of his game one minute, and then transitioning into hokey cliche the next.

I bought this album today and I like the packaging and I must say this is one of Slim's best albums to date. I enjoyed every song on this album.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the album? Because it sure seems like it.

I ing love it, I've listened to it all the way through at least five times now. Legacy, Rap God and Headlights are the best tracks in my opinion, but they're not the only good ones. Every song is the sh*t. I'll be listening to this for a long time to come.

I like the album, bought the deluxe copy at Target with a $5 gift card so I got it for like $12 total. Worth the money, but right now I'm into Troy Ave "New York City The ALbum" and Papoose "Hoodie Season" HEAVY. I'm a NY dude so I love that authentic NY sh*t and even though Eminem is an international artist, nothing, at least to me, can f with the authentic NY sound like Troy Ave & Papoose have. In case your wondering next to Jay Z, Jadakiss is my favorite rapper with Styles P in the top 5 as well of living artists.
