as much as I love Hulk,.. he just doesn't bring much to help TNA besides merch sales.. and his pay is HUGE. I think it is time tna parts ways, they spend alot of money on Hulk for not much else other then his presence. I wonder what the R.O.I is on having Hulk Hogan in TNA. You mentioned that he brings in merchandise sales. Enough to cover his salary +? I wish it was pre - HH tna as opposed to now. I like competition....and I'm not a fan of WWE at all. Yes I watched both WWE/WCW during the Monday Night Wars (and a bit before.) If TNA folds or get's absorbed by WWE then there will be no wrestling to watch on tv (at least in my house.) People will say "But you have R.O.H or some other indy show." Well unless they broadcast here in NJ on tv (and I'm not aware of it) then my pro wrestling viewing / interaction will come through sites like this.

I doubt Hogan has much to do with creative, so all of this blame directly on Hogan is ridiculous. I know that most internet fans hate Hogan with every fiber of their being to the point where Hogan saving their own family from a burning building wouldn't sway them, but lets be realistic. You can really lay very little of the blame of creative on Hogan. Bischoff plays possibly the biggest role in creative and we know his track record. Spike is also to blame for executive meddling and constantly pushing for washed-up MMAists. If Hogan leaves, I doubt Bischoff will, and Spike definitely wont. Nothing will change besides the 'face' of TNA, and in that case it will just switch from Hogan to Jeff Hardy or Sting. AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, and the others will never be viewed by creative as anything more than also-rans compared to the "real stars formerly of the WWE and WCW". This is not me saying this, its painfully clear. Random tag teams, constant 'big' reveals, jumbled disorganization, incompetence, and mishmash stables will continue as long as Eric Bischoff is a creative force in the company, whether Hogan is there or not; as will all of the MMAists as long as Spike has a say. If Hogan leaves, which I absolutely think that he should for everyones sake, I think many of you will be shocked at how little will change. For those of you who think that things will magically time warp back to 2009 once Hogan is gone, you're just fooling yourselves. I do believe that at one point Hogan did care about TNA, but that period is long in the past. He doesn't want to be there, nor do I think that he necessarily wants to be on the road even as much as his TNA deal demands. Hogan is dreaming of the WWE, and rightfully so. If anything this WWE2K14 deal just pushed it closer to happening. If he is a part of any company (in an extremely limited capacity) it should be the WWE.

If he leaves, I want there to be a big storyline where the TNA originals (led by AJ Styles or don't do it at all) lead a crusade against Hogan and his regime (a super-short-lived faction that lasts a couple of months, maybe have Hogan become the behind-the-scenes mastermind behind A&8s) to take back TNA for the fans and for the people who built it. Have AJ cut a promo something like this: "Hogan, you have been the face of pro-wrestling for thirty years. You have had more titles, made more money and been responsible for more iconic moments in this sport than any of us can hope to enjoy. But that face is old, it's withered, it's wrinkled, it's eyes are bloodshot, it's tired and it has a stupid bleach-blonde moustache that went out of style before we'd even seen it for the first time. You have made wrestling old and tired and you have denied so many people who have tried their hand at this business an ounce of the spotlight you have monopolised for three decades. People like Christopher Daniels, people like Awesome Kong , people like Alex Shelley, people like me, Hogan. You see, when you arrived here with The Nasty Boys, Val Venis and Bubba The Love Sponge, I was the World Heavyweight Champion and I was out here every night having five star matches with the best the world had to offer. But, you didn't like that, did you Hulk? You wanted your whacked out stunt man Jeff Hardy to come in here and steer the ship, or how about Rob Van Dam? Men who, gifted and entertaining though they are, have had their time in the spotlight and squandered it. When people turned on Impact, they did it because they were sick of those guys, they were sick of you and your kind of wrestling show. When they cried out for good old-fashioned wrestling, they didn't mean they wanted to dig up 1983 or 1996. They wanted to see the best athletes in the world compete in a six sided ring and witness history every single week and, if there's one thing for absolute certain, Hogan, it's that with all the success, all the titles, all the backstage politics, all the celebrity and all the Hulk Hogan you created, on your best day, I would have embarrassed you in this ring. So, with that in mind, I want you gone from my company. See, I'm not like you, I don't carry a company on my back for years and then jump ship when the management are sick of me like you did. I was the face of this company long before you arrived and, because I love TNA and because I believe in wrestling and in choice, I have sat quietly and remained loyal to this brand but now, I've had enough. WE have had enough, not of TNA, but of you Hulk Hogan. And now, we've decided that for these people, for choice and for TNA, you have outstayed your welcome. This is our house, we built it, and now we're about to show you the door."
Have a big world title match between AJ and Bully Ray at BFG, with the stipulation being that, if Bully loses, Hogan is fired and Sting becomes the new GM.
Then we have the next week, Sting comes out to the returning six sided ring in a suit and shades and declares that the old TNA is back, the TNA that revolves around exciting new wrestling from exciting new athletes. AJ is the world champion, Bad Influence are tag champions, Manik is X Division Champion, Gail Kim is KO champion. Everything's perfect.
Ahhhhh... I can dream.Hire this man Dixie! Haha! I'm the owner of a theatre school so writing and character work is my 9-5, sometimes wrestling writing makes my hair curl with how poorly done it is. Thank you for your kindness, good sir

I can assure you that TNA Wrestling will not be absorbed by the WWE if it does go out of business.

I can assure you that TNA Wrestling will not be absorbed by the WWE if it does go out of business. For the right price I am more than positive that Vince will buy TNA if given the chance, even if it just for the rights to their library. Vince is doing his best to amass the most in depth professional wrestling library on the planet. Having 10+ years worth of TNA would a decent section in that library.

Ultimately, there's nothing in the TNA library worth owning unless it's for pennies. There aren't any big stars in WWE that came from TNA, so there's not much "check out this guy before he came famous" value. In that respect, the ROH, Irish Whip Wrestling (Sheamus) and UPW (Cena) libraries are worth more than TNA's. And I think it'd be an embarrassment to show stars like Hogan and Sting slumming it in TNA in any future DVDs that WWE puts out. Just for the sake of owning as much content as possible, WWE probably will buy the TNA library, but I don't think they'll pay much for it.

I can assure you that TNA Wrestling will not be absorbed by the WWE if it does go out of business. Yeah, I don't see WWE spending $20 on TNA's library, lol. All jokes aside, the only thing worth anything on TNA's library that WWE could use for DVD releases is the Sting footage and possibly any footage from current WWE guys that were in TNA if they want to add their TNA history to DVD releases. Other than that, by the time TNA goes out of business, the main stars like AJ, Roode, Storm,Joe, etc. will be too old to even be considered to come to WWE.

How does TNA not cut him loose? They aren't making money off him, ratings are the same, and he's there on and off with really no substantial purpose other than being Hulk Hogan. Hogan doesn't have faith in TNA it's just a paycheck for him. He knows he can go back to WWE if he needs to just based on his name no matter what he does against WWE. He knows he'll always have a spot and a paycheck. TNA is just the easiest paycheck for him right now.

I re watched the start of Genesis 2010 and listened to what Hogan and Bischoff said and can't help but think over 3 years later 'What has he actually brought to the table?'
Just a name and large expenses.

I wanted him for a feud with Jarrett back in 2003 or whatever, that would've benefited tna...not in 2010 as an authority figure.
