They have the mold made already. Shouldn't cost them too much to make them. Put them up on Mattycollector for pre order. Lets see how many people want one. Id love a smackdown or legends RSR

I would be happy with just a 16x16 inch ring made like their standard rings

We NEED a middle sized ring! I'd be all over that!

C'mon dog, no matter how many people ask for one it isn't going to happen again. At all. No more discussion.

I don't want an RSR. I just want one around the size of the Hardcore ring that doesn't have springs. this guy is the sh*t.

A larger basic ring w/o the spring function is what I'm after. If it had the removable turnbuckle pads like the ESR that'd be icing on the cake.

You're beating a dead horse here... MDT has addressed this numerous times already and it's not going to happen. Accept :-) it. WRONG! We control what they produce, we are the consumer. Be the change you want to see in mattel lol Wrong, Walmart controls what gets produced and most of my Walmarts suck. They're barely better than a drugstore's toy section.

A few hundred people on this board will not make a difference, because retailers already said no they don't want to carry it. So Mattel's not going to take another loss on it selling it to discount stores like big lots. The consumers didn't want to buy it when it was at mass retail for $65. so that would mean they'd need to make it an exclusive. And that would mean a much lower production run which would equal a much higher cost than their original $65 MSRP. So they know that would be a failure again because they'd have to sell it to Big Lots again. They want to make a profit not lose money. It will never get released again.

I think we will end up with a new one somewhere down the road. Mattels DC Matty line has failed. Their Mattey site is now left with MOTUC which is a hige success. They will need another line to help them, insert some WWE exclusives. Not a subscription, just monthly or bi-monthly exclusive items on their site.
BUT
It will be up to Matty to get the word out and promote the items, and it will be up to us, the consumer to knock off the cheap ass attitudes, bite the bullet, and pay the prices for the exclusive items.
We want a ring between the Basic and Elite scale... It won't be mass produced, and it will be an internet exclusive. So at $60, its worth it. Along with the sales, and hopefully a sell out, we could get some accessories, such as a cage, ring aprins, posts and buckles, ropes, steps, all down the road to recreate eras we love. But Matty would have to be game to do it, an we would have to be willing to open our wallets for it to happen.

IMO they should make more for the internet and see how they sell. ESR in 2010 when they first started was a bad decision. People weren't sold on Mattel yet. Now, they have a bigger market. I cant tell you how many times I heard "Mommy, my ring is to small. I want a bigger one." At a store. If they did a store exclusive or internet exclusive, they would see that people want a bigger ring.

Second the ESR mass produced had a MSRP of $60 as a Matty item it will be a higher MSRP because a limited production run costs more than a normal run. So on Matty you are figuring at least $80 before shipping. And again if people were passing on it at $60, because it was too much for them those same people will be passing on it on Matty. It's not going to happen.

i agree. we need a NEW RING..
and yes, i think we have a chance, and we should keep this topic alive.. so many of us would buy one, so lets keep tellin Mattel..
first off, it needs to be slightly smaller than past ESR, but much bigger than the rings @ retail now..
maybe excl. to RSC or matty since constant complaints of retail problem ( of course, retail has rumbler junk and many more ring like items)
Keep it at $50.. it people spend $25 all the time for one figure.. i highly believe $50 for a realistic ring would be productive... i only wanna pose with it, but for all those who play as well..it truly looks impossible to play with elites or basic in those current rings since you can even fit a vertical suplex between the ropes!!
sell it with raw apron and white ropes and a CENA or Punk & Del RIO or Orton basics, then sell accessory packs with red&white&blue ropes and maybe add Championship belts to the accessory packs or ladders & or chairs
if this truly cant be done, then PLEASE MATTEL make a legit old school " FLASHBACK" ring the same crappy small ones you make now but with the 89-90 Look.. blue apron red white blue ropes, blue steel posts, navy turnbuckles with gold old school logo, blue steps and hopefully blue mats( the latter might b askin 4 2 much!)
the tribute 2 the troops was close, but maybe re-release that as a flashback ring with two basic flashbacks like Bret & HBK from Survivor Series 1992
Mattel please give us some type of RING to display our Legends with..
does any1 know if i can still buy a tribute to the troops ring??

Well it wouldn't be $50. It was $60 last time. As an online exclusive, it'd be a smaller run, which means much higher pricing for it to make a profit. Essentially, asking Mattel for an elite scale ring at $50 is like asking Mattel for an elite of every wrestler ever in a box set with a real scale arena for $100. It's just not feasible, it can't happen and it won't happen, even if every single Wfigs member posts in the thread asking for it.

MDT said the product is selling better than ever before, so if they are going to 'take a shot' at a new ring, now would be the time.
