Just finished watching it, and I absolutely loved it. Probably the best movie that I have seen in 2013.
The movie had an original idea, an amazing cast, a great twist. I feel like everything in the movie clicked well together and made a really entertaining movie.
Been wanting to see it since I saw the very first trailer. I'm happy that it did well enough, wiki says 375 million, that they're going to make a sequel to it, which needs to be called Now You Don't.
Haven't seen anything like that in a while, plus I love a bit of magic, loved the film.
What did you guys think of it?

One of the worst films I've seen this year. Stupid story, loads of plot holes and a terrible ending. Utter trash.

*possible spoilers if you haven't seen Now You See Me yet*
I have to agree with Noza. I watched it this past week on On Demand. Of the 4 Horsemen, two (Harrelson and Franco) were introduced to us as criminals (a blackmailer and a pickpocket) that I just wanted to punch in the face; this opinion did not change one bit over the 2 hour movie. The other two were one dimensional and boring. I didn't buy a lot of the planned magic tricks and escapes, particularly the car chase/death of one of the horsemen. There were way too many random things that were necessary for that plan to ever work as well as it did. Just the fact that we are supposed to believe one of the Horsemen is not only a great magician but also an expert ninja and stunt driver pushed me too far. None of the twists came as a surprise to me and the big ending was telegraphed so badly I had it pegged less than halfway through the movie. I enjoyed the look of the movie but it was all flash with no substance. I could only recommend it to people who can turn their brain off for two hours. For those who like to think, go rent The Prestige instead of Now You See Me.

For those who like to think, go rent The Prestige instead of Now You See Me. You're forgetting that both movies are and were completely different. Now You See Me is NOT a magic movie. Sure, it's about "magicians" but they are all criminals. It's a caper film that used magic as it's base to reveal a larger plan. *spoiler for The Prestige* The Prestige is one of my all time favorite movies, ever. You compare the two and find it hard to believe that one of the characters in Now You See Me has stealth ninja skills as well as being able to drive a car but can believe that Robert Angier was able to clone himself using a machine made by Nikola Tesla? Even "real magic" isn't actually real, people suspend belief just like in both movies. I compare Now You See Me more to Ocean's Eleven than The Prestige. It's a caper film, nothing more.

I saw this movie. It was ok for me. It was a fun movie but the twist was VERY predictable for me.

It was okay, but the plot holes, inconsistency and flat out uninteresting third act/twist made it rather forgettable. Not something I'm likely to see again any time soon.

I compare Now You See Me more to Ocean's Eleven than The Prestige. It's a caper film, nothing more. You are right, it is a caper movie that uses magicians. But if I compared Now you See Me to any of the Ocean's movies I would have been just as harsh. The Ocean characters are multi-dimensional people who change over the course of the movie(s) and above all else are likable so you want them to succeed. Their schemes while grandiose have elements that can and do go wrong, requiring some fast-thinking and improvising to work around and creating some of my favorite scenes in those movies. The characters in Now You See Me are boring at best and utterly unlikable at worst plus there is zero character development. Every character deserved to be in jail by the end of the movie except for the one who actually does end up in jail. Some of their schemes are so completely over the top that there is no way they would go off without a hitch, not even in a Hollywood movie dream world. Having something go wrong and seeing how characters react is a large part of what makes a movie good. It creates suspense and progresses character development - two qualities Now You See Me did not have. There is a difference between suspension of belief and letting a movie insult my intelligence. Now You See Me crossed that line for me.
