Just got my shipment from Ringside & the Khali figure appears to have no difference at all from basic series best of PPV 2012 Khali.
Couldn't mattel have made any changes ?
Anyone else notice this ?

They've done that in the past with a few figures. He's not a figure in great demand so I doubt that they would waste money on a new scan and he really doesn't have many attires to choose from. Pretty sure they released all if them.

What attire do you think khali will have? Assuming it's not just going to be a re-release of an older Khali fig then it has to be this  From RAW 4/30/12 (beat the clock challenge; vs. Kane) That is the last time Khali wore a different attire. He's been wearing the same red pants for over a year. I was thinking they could do the Best of 2012 basic w/ a different head. But then I saw that they actually already did (w/ Matt Hardy)   So if its not the blueish pants from the Kane match. It would have to be the red pants (again).....w/ a brand new headscan Red is cheaper for them to use. And its Khali....so they probably think no-one would care if it was just a re-release |

The Sin Cara from BO2012 was rereleased in basic 28, too. I guess they want to put out one Khali a year and went for his most frequent look/gear. Also, is it a definite rerelease? Are they both red pants or maroon?

Even if the attire were a different color and there was a new headscan, I still wouldn't be interested in another Khali in my collection.

Mattel said they will never make a khali elite due to his lack of movement. I hate this reason because it's not true. With basic Khali you can make him do a full out split. With an Elite Mattel can make it so his legs wont spread too far apart like Big Show or Henry. If Big Show has Elite articulation than Khali does. But okay Mattel. Have fun front splitting your Basic Khalis. |
