LIVE from the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada~!
The Main Event~!
Trace Demon & Reverend Shadow vs. Scarlett Quinn & Penny Shannon
Sometimes life just is not fair. By all means, last week, Scarlett Quinn should have been able to rub it in everyones faces that she won. After all, she was not supposed to walk out of Psycho Circus. She did. She was not supposed to walk out of Battleground. She did. It should have been her time to shine. But instead, she was forced to fight her best friend and found out her mentor is next in line to try to take her championship from her. How can he do that, mind you? Well with Xavier gone, he and the new…General Manager, Jason Anders are running the show. What Trace wants, he gets. Oh, and Reverend Shadow and Penny Shannon? Yeah, let us not forget about them. They are adding an incredibly interesting wild card into this mix. Reverend Shadow, coming off of a win against Cam Nitta, looks better than ever. And ever the crazy one, God knows what is going through Shannons head. Shut up and watch, bitches.
Singles Action
Jayson Garrett vs. Shawn Malakai
Well now, this is quite the little match up. Jayson Garrett has looked one hella impressive the last few shows, even if one was in a losing effort. But now is his time to really make a name for himself. His opponent is the man who should rightfully be WFWF Champion, Shawn Malakai, who has really remained in the shadows since Trace stripped him of the belt in a controversial restart of the world title match at Battleground. And if we know anything about Malakai, the saying of cool heads prevailing does NOT apply here. Garrett has an angry giant coming after him. It is proving time man.
Tag Team Contest
Yukio Blaze & Brock Maxx vs. Ace Bennett & Thunder
Could this match get any more convoluted? Ace Bennett and Thunder clearly dislike each other. Going all the way back to when Ace, along with the missing in action Raider, defeated Thunder and that Irish drunk for the tag titles, it is just bad blood. And just when it seemed they might be on the same page again, Thunder tried to take out Randel Benjamin, a thorn in his and Malakais side for months, and Ace stopped him. It came to a head last week, Thunder and Ace in the ring man against man. And yet, they are being forced to team yet again against the likes of Yukio Blaze and Brock Maxx. Yukio has been against Trace for a long time now, and this week is proof that Trace and Anders are in fact, vengeful...the one time great being forced to go against a hall of famer and a future hall of famer with an unknown, untested rookie in his corner. Do not cross the boss.
Triple Threat
Dave Demento vs. Mak Cross vs. Ace Andrews
This match is the birth of a bit of a conundrum. Demento, Andrews and Cross have spent an ungodly amount of time trying to establish themselves here in the WFWF but have been unable to get to that next level. Demento, once hindered by his old partner has decided to break free in an attempt to move on up. Mak Cross has been in world championship matches but somehow continues to fall short when it matters most, and without Nitta around, who knows. Ace Andrews has yet to be given the opportunity to take that next step. All of these men have the chance at a career defining match tonight. It should be a blockbuster of a match.
More Singles Action
WFWF National Championship
Joe Bishop (c) vs. Devilkiller
Joe Bishop has been on one mighty roll as of late. At Battleground he defeated Devilkiller for the National Championship, was victorious as a member of Team Trace and stood tall against the entirety of the WFWF roster in a benches clearing brawl. Devilkiller has not been so lucky. He lost his National Championship at Battleground, was on the losing side of Team Xavier and did not fare so well in that brawl. Well DK is invoking his rematch clause tonight, and something tells me this is going to end ugly.
Opening Contest
Andrew Carter vs. Dex
Carter is a battle tested rookie looking to take that next step forward. Dex is yet another fresh...masked face trying to make a name for himself in the WFWF. This could be a fun match for those of you interested in seeing this companies future.
