I am thinking it's looking more like the big book figure. HBK was a basic.

Is the mask removable and what exactly is the hair pieces for... ? No the mask is molded on. The hair is for him to "rip out" like he did during his early matches. Question of my own. Did Mattel ever say that there would be a mail away this year? During NYTF or SDCC?

I don't I remember if they did or not, but I really think this is the Big Book figure and not a mailaway.

Don't see a point if its just a brown piece of mold just sitting there, though it is pretty cool to add

I don't I remember if they did or not, but I really think this is the Big Book figure and not a mailaway. That's what I'm thinking too. Maybe he was originally a mail away (hence the packaging) and moved to big book. Seems really late in the year to start the mail away.

kinda wish they would do away with the mail-in and just go "big book" anyway, the mail in was just a pain in the ass

If it was the big book then get in. Means I can get it easily, but I'm sure Taker is £30. I couldn't pay that for this figure, so here's hoping it's something near the standard elite price.

Could somebody explain what the "big book figure" means? Does that mean it will be an in store exclusive leading up to Christmas??

I hope its the big book figure too. Im not really a fan of the mailaways and build a figures. Too much jumping through hoops for me. Im not sure I can find 3 or 4 things to buy at my TRU's to qualify and Im a MOC collector so having to hack the package to get the UPCs sucks.

It also usually is involved in an offer -- buy three figures and get it free etc. 2010: Attachment Deleted2011: Attachment Deleted2012: Attachment Deleted

I would hope Mankind at this point was just the big book figure instead of a mail away since we have no details and it's almost October. Mail aways are a pain the balls. And besides, mattel seems to get discouraged easily and seeing as how the mail away Triple H was a bust (mainly because it’s a very unappealing figure) I’m hoping they just do away with it all together and sell this at retail.

The HHH figure was hardly a bust. A year later people have their gripes about it compared to current figures, but that thing sold like crazy last year.

I was going on the assumption it was a bust since a year later you can get it on Ringside for around $15, doesn't exactly sound like a hot seller to me, but who knows. If we can get Mankind for that price in a few months I really feel sorry for those 7 people who paid $100.

I thought I saw some debate on that. I still want it regardless, but am curious if that's settled.

I'm good waiting!
