Checked 2 Targets and 4 Walmarts between yesterday and today. No sign of the new Multiverse wave yet.

snapped some pics. I really like this set. Zoom, Garrick and Batgirl are my favorite/most wanted. Hawkman came out very well though. Joker is a great piece beside the rest of the line but his leg is a little wonky for some reason.I dont really know the backstory for the Jim Gordon as Batman. Ill probably just keep the cowl head on him. King Shark figure is freaking huge & amazing. I wasnt expecting him to be so big. Really digging how his jaw is hinged so you can open or close his mouth.

I'm so PISSED about the DC Icons Jim Balent Catwoman being cancelled. I really like the Icons line, and I was ready to get into it in a big way, but this sh*t always seems to happen with DC lines. They never get around to the characters I want.

I think my Neca Catwoman has a case of lazy eye. I took a shot by contacting Neca, maybe they will be open to sending a replacement head. I'm so PISSED about the DC Icons Jim Balent Catwoman being cancelled. I really like the Icons line, and I was ready to get into it in a big way, but this sh*t always seems to happen with DC lines. They never get around to the characters I want. That company is a mess. I really wanted a large Icons line, but it doesn't seem to be happening.

I saw where the Blue Beetle/Booster Gold 2 pack was on hold (which I knew wouldnt sell) as was Etrigan (which I expected to shelf warm) but I never saw any confirmation that Catwoman was cancelled/on hold.

Hey I have that Blue Beetle/Booster Gold set preordered. I think they will go great with the Death of Superman 2-Pack.

Hey I have that Blue Beetle/Booster Gold set preordered. I think they will go great with the Death of Superman 2-Pack. I really wanted the Booster Gold but didnt really care about the Blue Beetle. For some reason it seem DC figures dont move well when they're not "big names" yet if you go online collectors mostly want the lesser known names. I guess it just shows the collector is a very small fraction of the buyers for DC figures.

I was looking forward to BB/BG, too. It's been some years, but DCUC didn't have trouble selling their Beetle, Booster, and Etrigan. Maybe, too many collectors have those versions and feel they're good enough? Then throw in scale issues and price. It seems like DCC might not be willing to take chances even though they're not selling to mass retail.

Yeah the DCUC Blue Beetle is one of my favorite figure. And Ted Kord is the only Blue Beetle I like. There isn't anything about Jamie Reyes or his costume design that I like.

I don't have any DC figures aside from Mafex/Neca and won't get any because of the issues above with cancellations/scale issues etc. I think they need to consolidate lines into one universal size and just do different figures. It's too ing confusing to try and keep up. Also, the figures from the Suicide Squad/BvS line all look like shit. I was very tempted to get some of the icons but wanted to wait and see what happened with them. Same with the DC BvS premium movie figures. Was willing to jump on those but again waited and they were canceled. It seriously pisses me off buying figures then having lines canceled before we get a decent line-up.

Sometimes I feel DC over saturates the market with their figures. I mean just how many BvS Batman figures do you need? Personally if I was in charge I would give the DCEU/DCTV rights to Mattel for mass releases. Kids are still your main target and parents are likely to buy a figure at Walmart before ordering one on a website. Id give DCC the Icons line for comics, animated movies & video game rights. I would completely scrap the 6.75/7 inch lines. The notorious history of them breaking (see any PJ post ever) has left a bad taste in a lot of mouths. For those that want a more "collector" style like the 6.75 line, you turn them towards Mafex/Neca/Play Arts who will have free reigns over all DC properties but only in limited quantities like 4-6 figures per year.

I think the only DC figure I have any interest in is the Rebirth Box set. Tired of all this Batman.

It just seems absurd to have so many lines/styles. Then as you said, reading PJ's and others tales of woe have really been the deciding factor of nah.

So apparently DCC is "rebranding" their Icons lines from single carded figures to iconic moments 2 packs. That tells me that these damn things are going to be like $50-$60 a pop at the least. Im hoping this isnt going to start out until the end of the year so we can get the single carded Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Nightwing etc....if they've all been cancelled though for a "reboot" I think Im done.
