As somebody who is looking to get into this but has never gone all-in on a superhero/DC line ... do we expect there to be a standard set of 6-8 figs in a line, or does this make it look like it's going to be a bit more scattershot/random? I'll probably stick to the "core" figures and ignore the Animated/Arrow TV/etc. for now ... but as an OCD collector I'd really prefer if it was "this is Wave 1, this is Wave 2," etc. lol. Any help is appreciated.
(In other words, for now I plan on starting out with Superman, Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, The Batman Who Laughs, and then probably Superman Unchained Armor and Batman Hellbat Suit.)

Honestly, I don't expect anything when it comes to McFarlane. If these get put out like the Fortnite figures, don't expect traditional waves. They'll ship anywhere between one and three new figures at a time over the course of the year. If it's like Harry Potter, he'll ship three figures and a larger beast, and then ship the fourth figure that was supposed to come out with the first three four months later when they've started being clearanced out everywhere. If it's like Star Trek, we'll get two figures in a small handful of stores and then nothing, and no word if the series is cancelled or not. If it's like Game of Thrones, we'll get four figures and one oversized...and then do a few repaints once the figures have been clearanced out.

The McFarlane line looks great but I def. want to collect The Spin Masters line. They look like a smaller scale version of the Batman Mission figures that I got hooked on collecting. I was really drawn to the more old school, basic appeal of them. I also love the little PVC figurine sets they will be putting out. I'll def. try to get all of them.

I was a huge collector of the McFarlane Sportspicks line, and had high hopes for the DC and Harry Potter lines. But both are shaping up to be huge disappointments for me.
Superman looks good. But something looks very off to me on the heads for Batman and Green Arrow. The proportions look odd, and lacking facial features. And these early releases are soooo Superman and Batman heavy. 3 of each? With no villains aside from Harley? They feel a little light on the accessories with no BAF at that price point, and I'm not a fan of the way they're doing the chest articulation.
Maybe they'll win me over in time. But this misses the mark for me.

On one hand, I like the overall look of the new McFarlane line. But on the other I think I'm kinda disappointed too.
I was impressed with the Build a Batmobile at first, till I realized it wasn't in scale to the figures. Meh.
VERY pleased they are 7 inch scale. That improves the odds I may pick up some.
Might pick up the regular Batman and Superman. And go from there.
I wish they had some shading. I especially wish the cartoon Batman had the blue shading.
Wish they had alternate heads for certain figures. The regular Superman in particular could have used another head or two.
Glad Sups got a flight stand.

The Batman Who Laughs looks pretty decent. Not 100% sold on the McFarlane figures, with all of the figures I've gotten from him always seem to fall apart or have stuck joints. Hopefully the quality control has improved.

I'm kind of torn on the McFarlane figures.
I have a large, pretty much complete Mattel DCUC/Multiverse collection, so I'm not really looking forward to starting over again. I'm hoping to see in-hand pics soon, with comparisons shots and some QC reports before I make a decision.
I really do like how the McFarlane figures look. I may buy the armored Bats and Supes, and Batman Who Laughs to start, and see how I like them. I have no interest in the animated figures, and luke-warm interest in DCTV figures. The Mattel DCTV figures were some of least favorites of their entire line, so that is affecting my excitement for these figures. I really only got them because of the BAF parts.
Another thing giving me pause is character selection. I just got a new Nightwing recently in the Mattel Multiverse line, so I'm not at all excited to get another so soon. I think the McFarlane Nightwing looks good, but I'm just not too interested in getting it.
It would be nice to get some new characters Mattel didn't get to in their DCUC/Multiverse line. If McFarlane isn't going the BAF route, some big deluxe figures would be cool too.

Does anyone know if the original DC Collectibles Batman The Animated Series figures will be continuing?.. I have Bane, Mr.Freeze, Killer Croc and Poison Ivy on pre-order with my local comic shop (should be in next week) but I can’t find anything coming after that doesn’t have the new ab joints... any help is appreciated...

Also, apparently Walmart has a posting for an McF “Arkham Asylum” Batman, listed to release in May. Could be a store excl. Could be wave 2. Either way, they’re going in heavy on Bruce out of the gate...

Yeah, they're doing non animated series Bat characters in the Animated Series style because they’re running out of characters to make. I have Red Hood pre-ordered.

Thanks for the info, my son and I are currently watching the whole series in order, and we started to collect just the red carded figures from the series (the animated, not the blue carded new adventures)... The Batwing is something special let me tell you that, it’s massive!!!
