Turns out the McFarlane Arkham Knight Batman and Origins Deathstroke were put up for preorder on Walmart today. Deathstroke is sold out, but I did get an order in for two of the AK Batman. They’re on Amazon too if you have Prime and want that free shipping. May not be the safest choice if y’all keep MOC though.

I’m not seeing them I must have missed them.

Thanks for the link! I was searching after the post yesterday but never figured out the right search terms.
I ordered Deathstroke. I like the Batman but figure I can wait to a sale/price drop.

My “Batman the Adventures Continues” Azrael arrived from Big Bad. I am very impressed with this figure.

I loved that David Vonner interview
I feel like you could sub the WWE line in there to where he is talking about Mattel DC and their philosophies
Thanks for sharing

I was at the Farmer's Market today and I passed a stand selling Lego Polybags. I got the Tumbler Polybag. I paid $12 for it since that's about what it would total out if you bought it online.

He's obviously a huge fan and has appreciation for other fans. Seems like a good guy. He needs to be working on some of these properties we all love so much. It's such a shame they didn’t go with his design for Batman and subsequent figures. We'd have a line for DC that compares to Hasbro's Marvel Legends.

Vonner is the man. I think I read yesterday on ToyNewsI that he was recently laid off from Mattel due to covid. Damn shame, but probably a blessing in disguise. Dude is super passionate about toys and has great ideas. I started watching the Infinity Equation Podcast recently and I love when he pops on and just goes off on a tangent. I love how he did that Batman while not even working on the DC line. I hope to see him go to a smaller or independent company where he would have more influence.

Wasn't he working on the WWE basics line? Who's working on that now?

In the above video though, he did mention that when Mattel lost the DC license, a lot of DC people ended up on WWE.

DCUC was better than Toy Biz Marvel Legends and then Hasbro Marvel Legends for a little while, but once Hasbro improved their aesthetic (like when they dropped the awful ball joint hips) and Mattel kept recycling the same original buck the Horsemen sculpted, that changed. It's my understanding this Batman was designed sometime after DCUC was done and after Hasbro Marvel Legends had started, so if they'd used his design, we'd potentially be as far along with DC (Mattel) as Marvel (Hasbro).

Obama Superman, Batman vs Superman Lex Luthor, Carrie Kelly Robin and Mutant Leader killed the DC Multiverse line.

Obama Superman, Batman vs Superman Lex Luthor, Carrie Kelly Robin and Mutant Leader killed the DC Multiverse line. You can say that again. Around that time, I was looking at that line with a big ol' WTF on my mind. Mattel cheaped out and tried for (more) parts reuse. I could stomach the mutant and DKR Batman uses of MOTUC bodies if everything else was on point, but it wasn't. Ugh. And I would guess that's why they didn't use Vonner's buck. It was too much of an investment for them.
