While I would have liked more of a suit like Affleck’s I get it. He’s new to this and not a capable so I get that he’d be more armored. Sort of like the Arkham games or Mezco’s One:12 figure trilogy. The longer he’s been doing it he has been building up experience and as such each costume has less and less armor to it.

Picked up The Batman Who Laughs with the 3 Robin's multipack. Going to take up a ton of room on my shelf but a great set!

Thinking of cancelling my preorder with spams, and going with Amazon. Though the cape thing has me concerned

Well, I don't know what you expected Catwoman to be wearing... but the Riddler's look is insired by the Zodiac killer. It's more different than lazy - it's far less lazy than a plain, green, spandex body suit, I'd say. He really should have a roll of tape hanging down from under his coat - the upcoming 12" statue has it, but the 7" doesn't. I'm looking to try and make one myself. I wasn't completely sold on the Riddler design at first, but after I found out more info, about the origins, and saw more of the details - such as the mask, and the plastic covering his head,, it became more appealing to me, and then I definitely wanted it. I'm not getting Catwoman, simply because I 'm not that fussed about Kravitz, and I never buy Catwoman figures anyway. Cool if you like them. They don’t do anything for me. Catwoman’s suit is literally a plain body suit and a torn-up baclava for a mask. Atleast give the suit some grey or white to break it up. Phiffer’s had the stitching, and even Hathaway’s had the unique mask/goggles (though not a fan of her look either). I get Riddler is based on the Zodiac. A green raincoat and gimp mask just don’t impress me. I’ve grown to like Batman’s costume a little more. It’s more of a “year 2/homemade” look, but still not a fan of taking a step back with a more armored/paintball look than sticking with a more comic-looking fabric suit like Affleck wore. I’m sort of on the same boat. I’m excited as hell for this movie, although I still can’t see Pattinson as Bruce. I know for sure this movie is going to be good. I also didn’t care for Affleck as Batman either and he’s my least favorite to play the role. I understand the point of his attire and yes, it looks like something a serial killer or terrorist would wear. At first, I wasn’t sold on the mask and then when I thought about it the military winter mask makes sense. I think if we wore a domino mask, it would risk his identity, but also not fit the tone of the movie. I still think they could of came with a better design and still used the zodiac as inspiration. I also don’t like Kravitz’s mask either. It doesn’t even conceal her face and Pattinson’s cowl looks kind of dumb from the sides. It just looks odd and skull like. My favorite has to be penguin. He’s just hilarious and the makeup department did a great job. You could tell he’s The Penguin, but Farrell’s own. I also don’t like the car as much either, but I’m hoping it grows on me. Either way, I’m excited.

The Batmobile looks straight out of a Fast & Furious movie (and not something that Batman could realistically drive around in while waging his one man war against the criminals of Gotham). Collin Farrel looks like the Penguin while also clearly adding his own takes to the character. Riddler just doesn’t do anything for me based on the trailers. I said it before and I’ll say it again, Catwoman’s costume looks lazy as hell. I still don’t buy Pattinson as Bruce/Bats based on the trailers. Maybe it changes after the film, but it’s possible to still have a good film while feeling a character is miscast. As for the costume, it’s grown a little on me, but I still wouldn’t say I’m a fan of it. The cowl is oddly shaped IMO, and the shoulder pads seem to clash with the rest of the design. I get the collar is based off The White Knight comic books, but still not a fan of how it looks here either. I’m a Batman fan in the end though so I’m hoping the movie turns me around on these designs. Still hyped to see it opening weekend.

I hated the cowl. I think it resembled more of a panther or cat than Batman (and yes, I know certain iterations of Batman had low ears). Affleck, as Batman I just can’t buy it. It’s just Affleck as Batman, kind of how like Will Smith is Will Smith as Deadshot. It’s one of those things where I’m not too much of a fan of big hollywood actors getting the same roles or big superhero castings. With Pattinson, I have no doubt that his Batman will be great. It’s just that he reminds me too much of a pretty boy and I don’t feel he’s Bruce. I think he would suit more of a Nightwing or someone along those lines. Maybe even Batman Beyond. Lol I agree with the car. For me, it looks like it belongs in Mad Max or some apocalyptic movie. It’s too much of a Frankensteined machine. Like I like the rear wheels and it’s thickness, I like the exhaust and it’s resemble to the animated series. The fins are a nice touch. I don’t like windshield and how it looks like a regular muscle car, the front wheels also look odd with how low it’s suspended (I assumed they rise?) and the front of the car looks too short imo. I do like the headlights. I will say this though, I am happy that it’s a car and not a tank. I think Affleck’s car was the worst, that thing looked like a alien vs predator vehicle mixed with a dune buggy/rc car. I also had a hard time believing that thing went fast too lol. I’m hoping in the next film they update the car into something more sleeker/sports like.

And it’s not coming today because it still hasn’t left Texas. I ask again why the F and I paying for prime if they aren’t even honoring their 2 day prime shipping?

I’ve heard others getting the dreaded delayed-email from Amazon regarding the DKR figures. Mine still says arriving Tuesday (only ordered 2 Bats), so we’ll see if that stay true of if I’ll get the same delayed email this weekend.

I’m hoping in the next film they update the car into something more sleeker/sports like. I agree about Will Smith as Deadshot. Some actors are so recognizable that audiences only see them as the real person. Will fits that category (I also think Will is an actor that needs specific roles to excel in, but that’s another debate). I loved Affleck as Wayne/Bats. I thought he did a great job portraying Bruce as someone uncomfortable in that role and would much rather be in his “Batman-persona” 24/7. I get people not being a fan of the material he was given, but I thought he nailed the Bruce/Batman struggle. I thought Val Kilmer did a good job portraying this as well and would have been great if given a more serious script. Keaton as well since his Wayne didn’t get a lot of development IMO. I thought Bale’s version was too happy being “Bruce Wayne” and way too focused on wanting to move on from being Batman (which is funny when I see fans complain about Affleck’s version being too-liberal with guns, yet are fine with Bale’s wanting to give up being Batman to have a “normal” life with Rachel). I also love the BvS suit and think it’s by far the best live-action suit we’ve gotten (with Bale’s Batman Begins suit #2). I liked the thinker neck-piece on the cowl and shorter ears, but that’s just my personal preference. Not gonna hold my breath on McFarlane ever making a figure of that suit but it’s on my dream-list. I’d honestly love if McFarlane did a figure for each live-action actor (West from his movie, Keaton from Returns, Kilmer’s panther-suit, Clooney’s main suit, Bale from BB, Affleck from BvS).

McFarlane definitely needs to at least get us a regular BvS Batsuit, Knightmare Batman and the BvS Armored suit before moving on from the Snyder films. I’ve heard others getting the dreaded delayed-email from Amazon regarding the DKR figures. Mine still says arriving Tuesday (only ordered 2 Bats), so we’ll see if that stay true of if I’ll get the same delayed email this weekend. Mine were supposed to arrive this past Wednesday but I knew they weren’t going to arrive because they hadn’t taken the funds or shipped them. And sure enough once 1pm came One by one I started receiving delay emails for each one.

Yeah no funds have come out of my account either so assuming I’ll be getting the delay within the next few days too. I’d be down for a McFarlane of every Affleck suit. Not sure how realistic it is with Affleck stepping down after Flash (apparently) and DC focusing on Pattinson, but I’m hoping at the least we get the BvS suit (though like you, I want every Affleck look).

Red Hood came in from Target. Really love that figure, found one at Target last week. I still hate that McFarlane can't put guns with them anymore. Sure the crowbar make sense for Red Hood, but it just seems wrong with him not having his pistols.

Screw it. Cancelled my preorder with that big and bad store and ordered the set of 3 from Amazon . I mean they don’t even have Swamp Thing or the 3 Jokers figures in yet.

Funny thing is, I loved Batman Forever as a kid. Then as an adult thought it was too campy, although Batman and Robin take that honor. Then I rewatch scenes and realized that it was a good movie. It’s really WB that was at fault for wanting to be greedy and make it kid friendly due to parents complaining. Even with it’s flaws, Val Kilmer portrayed a good Bruce Wayne. He had the looks and fit that billionaire persona. Now looking back, I realize that Batman can be portrayed in many different ways. It just depends who the audience is. Not all the films will be dark, serious etc, but should be appreciated for what they are. Batman’s Adam West adaption is slightly too goofy for me, but it works for it’s time period and audience. I can still appreciate it.

I know Mattel had in the works a Forever Riddler and Robin before they lost the license. Hopefully Todd will give us some of the old Batman movie stuff. I know Joker is unlikely while Nicholson is alive due to his likeness fee, but a Pfeiffer Catwoman, Batman Forever set of Sonar Bats, Robin, Two-Face, and Riddler, and Ahnuld Mr Freeze would be nice

Even Clooney would be an instant purchase from me.

So my Pattinson Batman finally arrived from Amazon. And yes he has the cowl attached to his cape as well as the upside down ab piece. I corrected the ab issue, but I might just leave the cowl piece attached to the collar seeing he’ll be displayed facing forward anyway so it won’t be seen. And for all we know the unmasked figure will have the wrong cape as well so if that happens then I will just switch the heads.
