will be all over these.....pretty happy to finally see DeVito Penguin too.now that nobody gives a shiite about him I guess his "morals views" over BR toys have relented...... I also love the new Power attack stuff.Superman,Flash,Deathstroke.....awesome.would like to see the Riddler from this line showing up soon though!! the Power Attack Bewate the Batman figure looks cool too. And it looks like there's a Clayface too. (arm in the last pic with a boxed Robin) |

Yeah i took note of clayface too,just not a huge fan.i have nearly picked up the 3 pack with supes several times.....but now that hes iinbound solo its a definite pass.

Now that pissed me off. They cancelled my subscription because it didn't meet their goal...but they are still releasing the shown figures as day of sales. So now I went from a guaranteed Aquaman purchase to possibly missing out like Poison Ivy. That just rubs me the wrong way.

Now that pissed me off. They cancelled my subscription because it didn't meet their goal...but they are still releasing the shown figures as day of sales. So now I went from a guaranteed Aquaman purchase to possibly missing out like Poison Ivy. That just rubs me the wrong way. ah the Matty experience!! apparantly there wont be a Jack Joker for the 4" line because of the likeness $$.to me there was no point in doing the line without him. Hopefully we get a Carrey Riddler in his light up Jacket guise.... |

Why did Kenner put Robin in the Batman Returns line? very early plans for BR called for Robin to be included,and Kenner did a figure based on his then current comic look and included it for initial waves,then they could include a movie accurate one in later waves(like what they did for BF/B&R)but Burton went cold on the idea and asked WB to delay the debut of Robin. incidentally Marlon Wayans(UGH UGH UGH)was cast for Batman Returns and fully paid to be Robin when O Donnell replaced him in Forever. |

Anyway, that figure was based on Tim Drake's Robin costume, which would have fit the timeframe IIRC. Also, I saw those 4" figures when I was at NYCC. They don't look bad, but I can imagine what they'll look like when they aren't the hand-painted production samples. I would have loved 6" figures, but these 4" ones aren't appealing to me. Isn't EVERY other line Mattel makes in the bigger scale? Seems like they're trying too hard to reinvent the wheel, when it's already as round as it's gonna get. Also, my minor gripe - wouldn't unmasked Keaton be in a Returns-style costume and not a B'89 costume? Also, from what I gather, those Matty Collector figures will be released quarterly. Doomsday will be a SDCC exclusive next year for 35 bucks. In other DC news, SH Figuarts is making a Batman for the Arkham Origins game. I saw the model, looks like it's going to be REALLY nice. |

Yes I mixed together DKC with Batman Returns. And yes, Aquaman is first in March. They are also doing the new Total Heroes quarterly. John Stewart with Tomar Re and another head, Batman Beyond w/Terry & old Bruce heads. Black Manta with 2 heads and one other character who I forget at the moment. And that SH Figuarts Batman Origins proto what scale was that in, because it looked pretty cool. |
