Were there pictures of it in the auction? Is it possible the figure was damaged in shipping? I have received figures in the mail in much worse carded condition than they seemed in the pictures due to poor packing on the part of the seller.

If you mean stock like promoting picture that a toys r us would use, then I say the person lied. I never trust auctions that don't show the actual item they have. But overall, to me, minor shelf wear are maybe frayed dented corners on a basic. Or card bending without a crease. Minor stuff, those pictures show a damaged box. And if the outside box is fine, then it went into the box like that.

Had he responded with a positive attitude I would have said you could have overlooked the small dent in it. But since he gave you attitude I say give him a bad review. MINT ON CARD MOC means that the figure AND the card are both in mint condition.
He also does not know the difference between "Then & Than" Tell him to check out CM Punk's Grammar Slam! lol

"You got the figure for less than coast" ... What does that mean? I wouldn't trust a seller who has serious grammar issues.

Honestly, I would call that pretty minor shelfwear. Not like the box is ripped. It's dented. Quite frankly... I say

MOMC means the card is mint. Thats straight from them mods of these boards when I recieved stuff listed as MOC that showed up in worse condition than that. Way worse condition and it suck because I payed more because it was listed as MOC so I thought that meant mint card and figure and found out that was wrong the hard way.

MINT ON CARD MOC means that the figure AND the card are both in mint condition. It does suck if you keep your figures carded, but I disagree with this. MOC means mint on card, and I have always taken it as a figure that is still factory sealed (also MIB for mint in box, MIP for mint in package, etc.). MOMC means mint on mint card, which would suggest that the carding is also mint. There are toy sites that charge more for figures MOMC, as the normal shipping, storing, and selling of figures can cause undue damage to the package. Now, it may seem like semantics, I don't think it really is, especially considering major sellers like TRU and Amazon have been known to ship in bubble mailers or boxes far too small for the carding. While I don't think that the seller was technically incorrect, this may not be what you were looking for, and the problem could have been avoided with an actual picture and not a stock photo.

I wasn't the one who had made the purchase online. I was just telling the OP to leave a bad review via ebay since the guy had given him attitude and hadn't stated everything about the figure according to what was stated. Either way, I learned something new today. =-)

I'd be pretty alright getting a card in that shape, but I'm a loose collector too.

That's a pretty decent dent. When I hear "very minor" shelf wear I think maybe some scuffing on the package, that's it. I wouldn't be happy with it.
