Still looking to complete the E23 journey..... made a dent in it tonight.
First stop - the post office, to pick up the package I missed the other day from Ringside because I had to work late....
Picked up my loose nWo Randy Savage.... very nice figure. I really didn't want to spend $35 on this - so a loose one for about $18 shipped was right up my alley. Nothing wrong with the quality, and an awesome fig - might go down as one of my favorites.... here he is with my nWo Giant...
And with part of the rest of my Macho collection....
Also from Ringside, got my Legends Arn Anderson.... what a great figure. I'd love to open it, but for now - I'm keeping it MOC....
I've been hunting for E23 all week - I mentioned in another thread that I spotted a fresh case of E17 at K Mart, including Mankind.... several of you said I should go back and buy it. I took your advice, I might use it for trading, if I ever decide to delve into the world of Classifieds on here.... I already have one, which I had Mick sign this past June, so this one is extra.
Tonight, I finally found part of E23, Cesaro, Cena, and Triple H..... Of course, all the good stuff was already gone.... I left a Triple H on the peg, that one doesn't really interest me. And I was on the fence about Cena, so I just bought it. I'm really hoping they make one with a yellow shirt though - I need one for my WrestleMania 29 setup....
E23 Antonio looks great - he's one of my favorites. One minor gripe - I was unsure how the removable thigh wraps would be - they do slide off pretty easily, which can be annoying when trying to pose him, etc. Other than that, a great figure.....
And E23 John Cena is very nice too - I'm not a huge Cena fan, but I must admit - Mattel makes great John Cena figures, almost always spot-on. He can rest on my WrestleMania 29 display until they ever decide to make one with a yellow shirt. They have to, right?
Finally - picked up the Legends of Mid-South Blu Ray earlier in the week - I grew up in the greater PA area and never got to see this stuff. Boy, what a great history lesson! I'm loving watching the early days of Ted Dibiase, Jim Duggan (pronounced "Doogan"), Junk Yard Dog, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and many others.... what a fun Blu Ray. I highly recommend this - it'll be one of the better ones in my very large collection. Just a lot of gems.... I never knew Ric Flair even battled Ted Dibiase.... what fun.
So, tomorrow - the search for E23 continues.... really need to find E23 Macho Man and Undertaker, I've been stalking Toys Я Us... I'm a little worried, they just put out two cases of E22, and several cases of "Build-A-John Laurinitis" - so I'm doubtful they'll be putting any NEW BOPPV stuff out anytime soon, or E23. I might have to do some driving this weekend to another TЯU in PA.... I'm hoping the K Marts in my area bring in more E23's though.
I'm really thinking of just ordering these darn things through Ringside.... it's getting to be way too much to be driving around searching for these things, coming up empty handed.... but, I do enjoy the hunt.
Thanks for reading!
