Didn't realize the Human Torch was showing up at Walgreens already. Sorry I should have clarified. I live in Toronto, Canada. We don't have Walgreens here. I got this at ebgames, which is our version of GameStop. It's a great looking figure.

To my knowledge thats why the marvel and star wars are all bobble head, because thats the only license they could get. Just seems very far fetched to think anything is going on here. Marvel and Star Wars being bobbleheads is a bit of a slightly complicated affair. Picture it: Sicily, 1922. It all began due to competition issues with Hasbro over the Mighty Muggs line/Hasbro's over-the-top protection of the Star Wars license. So Funko made them bobbleheads so they could get the LICENSE (yeah, I went there) to do their own figures. In the time since, they could have switched the Marvel figures over to regular Pops, but they've kept them bobbleheads so as to not jack up people's collections since they're now well into the hundreds of Marvel figures when you add in all the comic, movie, and television sets. As for Star Wars, Hasbro wants it to be crystal clear what is and isn't a Hasbro product so as to keep their corner of the market. I understand it. Hey, it's Star Wars. That's a big chunk of pie right there.

Actually it's allowed to talk about any and all Marvel toys here. I mentioned that in the very first post of this thread way back when. ML, Universe, Select, Minimates, Funko, Mego, one:12, Figure inc, Hot Toys, etc. it's all good. As for why Funko can get away with all the different licenses is because they are POPS. Just like MiniMates prior or Legos. They aren't comic accurate action figures, but rather a specialty line so the parent companies aren't as concerned. But with actual comic accurate figures that is when all the licensing matters because company A has the 7" scale and then company B has 6" & 3.75" then company C has 12" with cloth attires. This is probably about right. Its close to what I was reading concerning likenesses.

Now that Torch is rolling out (in Canada), I plan on using the future Reed Richards figure to make a de-powered Johnny Storm. Is there a figure with a blond head that could pass for him? The only thing I can think of is the Chris Evans heads that came with various Caps. But I'm wondering if there are others. I'm worried using the Chris Evans head on a comic buck would make Johnny look like a pinhead.
