I picked up another Cyclops yesterday and cut away his optic blast remains while waiting for our daughter’s train.   While not perfect in a magnified photo it looks fine with the naked eye. |

Don't get why they couldn't have done either a swappable visor crystal, one with the blast remains and one with out, or at least two different heads. |

Saw Across the Spider-Verse on Thursday (amazing movie btw, go see it) and decided I needed to go and pick up what I could find of the wave on Friday.
I had found Miles sometime last month, but found The Spot, Spider-Gwen, Jessica Drew, Peter B. Parker, and Spider-Man 2099 on Friday.
This wave is very weird. Visually, all these figures look amazing. Most of the wave is SUPER stiff, even after dunking them in hot water. The Spot is damn near a statue because it's so stiff. The only one that really has smooth joints is Spider-Gwen and because of that she's probably my favorite of the wave. I think swapping the head from her ITSV figure makes it look even better.
Overall though, I think this wave is just ok. Jessica Drew, The Spot and Peter B. Parker are kinda weak. Jessica doesn't have that good articulation because of the belt/leg wrap and her belly. Why we didn't just get a normal Peter Spider-Man is beyond me.
Spider-Man 2099 is sweet, but I wish the cape was removable though. Also wish he had better head/neck articulation. He can't look up a whole lot.
Still need to grab Spider-Punk and Cyborg Spider-Woman. Really hoping she goes on clearance soon.
Seeing this movie makes me really wanna buy the SH Figuarts figures of Miles and Spider-Gwen, and maybe even the Sentinel figures. Those ones are kinda expensive though lol.
I'm guessing we get a Beyond the Spider-Verse next year. If I had to predict figures for that wave I'd guess finally a full suited Peter B. Parker, maybe a redo of Miles' ITSV suit, but with the unique molds, an inverted version of The Spot (not a spoiler, it's shown in the trailer), and a few that'd be spoilers.

It was the main comic run going on when I was a kid and most of those designs are what pop to mind when I think of these characters. Ultimate Thor and Iron Man are SORELY needed |

Target I was at today had the new Groot on clearance for $25 something,went ahead and picked it up since they only had one left.
My 3 pack Spidey supposed to be here tomorrow but still couple states away

Got my Spidey 3 packs couple hours ago,cant say I'm really impressed with them MOC. Haven't gotten a chance to open one yet but doesn't feel much heavier then a single figure lol and I can't stand the wrapping stuff they use. I can't believe the packaging wasn't all scuffed up from it.

My Spider-Men 3-Pack should be here tomorrow. I'm a little scared about QC issues. I've seen several people get either only one eye painted on the Holland and Tobey figures, or misaligned eye paint on Tobey. Andrew seems to be good on most though.
New Black Widow exclusive looks good, hopefully we can get more super articulated female figures.
The Marvel's figures all look good too. I actually want the full wave besides Marvel Boy or whoever that is. Ms. Marvel's new costume doesn't look as bad as the set photos made it look

Finished reorganizing my Marvel Legends in their bins and decided to make a list what I have/how many I have.
As of today after getting my NWH 3-Pack, I have: 325 Marvel Legends (324 if you don't include the Spider-Ham that came with ITSV Spider-Gwen).
I may have a problem.

Regarding the NWH 3-Pack, It's ok. Amazing Spider-Man is by far the best, although the butterfly joints don't add much movement. Maguire is kind of a let down. The mask is weird looking, and again the butterfly joints are almost pointless. I feel like I can't pose his legs that well. Holland is just a repaint. Not a bad figure though. I fully expect Andrew and Tobey to get released again with Andrew having a brighter red and unmasked head, and Tobey with an unmasked head and hopefully fixed mask.

In other Spider-Man related news, I found the Miles/Gwen Into the Spider-Verse 2-Pack from a few years back. Won the auction for $55. I think that's a steal? Last few times I looked for it they were going for +$100. Gonna be very happy to open that up next week. |
