This is creepy as . No one seems to know where their coming from or what's causing them but this is legit. I can only hope there's some logical explanation behind this but either way it's incredibly bizarre. What's even stranger is that these have only been occurring since 2011. There have been no reports of these sounds prior to that year so they just started happening recently. The one at around 5:20 is probably the creepiest one out of all of them even though they are all incredibly creepy.

What exactly differentiates an "apocalyptic" noise from a "non-apocalyptic" noise?

I seem to remember something simlar...
Seriously though that is creepy. Maybe someone or something is trying to tell us something. Someone should try digitizing those sounds to see if there is any code within it.

It'd be kind of hard to try and analyze the audio with a bunch of idiots speaking throughout the video just going "Aww my god" or something like that. Really annoying when there's something interesting and you can't analyze it because people just yap. :/

What exactly differentiates an "apocalyptic" noise from a "non-apocalyptic" noise? Now how did I know you were going to chime in and have something to say about the title? You're about as predictable as a bad horror movie. Anyway, who cares whether the noises sound "apocalyptic" or "non-apocalyptic", I guess they're referred to as apocalyptic because some of them sound like the trumpets of heaven described in the book of Revelation. Who knows? Who cares? This thread is about the noises and where they're coming from and what's causing them. What difference does it make how they're described?

I have video of me hearing a noise like this back in 2010 when I was in Pennsylvania

My proof, me and a bunch of friends were at a bonfire making a silly video when it happened about 45 seconds into this video. No clouds in the sky or anything the sound just happened, lingered for awhile then left.

This. It's like posting a video entitled "police brutality caught on tape." You get a reaction from people right off the bat. If you are someone who hates the police the video could be of a cop rubbing the belly of a purring, small kitten and you are going to be outraged and beyond pissed. If you are someone who supports the police then the video could be of the cops pulling up to an intersection grabbing a random person who was just walking by and proceeding to kick the crap out of them and you're going to look for some kind of logical explanation and demand more context. Claiming "strange apocalyptic sounds" immediately introduces bias that claiming "strange sounds heard in the woods" wouldn't introduce at all. Of course "strange sounds heard in the woods" wouldn't generate much interest.

Just sounds like usual wind to me. It's not the wind and some of those noises sound nothing like the wind. Also, I don't think windy noises aren't something that would be news worthy. I do think there must be some logical explanation but the wind isn't it. ...because describing them as "apocalyptic" already attempts to taint the listener's perspective before they have a chance to form an opinion? This. It's like posting a video entitled "police brutality caught on tape." You get a reaction from people right off the bat. Claiming "strange apocalyptic sounds" immediately introduces bias that claiming "strange sounds heard in the woods" wouldn't introduce at all. Of course "strange sounds heard in the woods" wouldn't generate much interest. It's just a description, stop looking into it too much. Again, it's probably referred to as apocalyptic because the sounds resemble the trumpets of heaven described in the book of Revelation.

Sounds like Godzilla and some elephants got together to form a vuvuzela band.
My first thoughts were it's something in the upper atmosphere/ solar winds but who knows.
