I've been preparing for a while for my first Wrestling Match in the WFWF. Nobody said I'd be able to reach the level of the WFWF.
For a long time, I've been wrestling in High School Gyms, Fairs, and Bars. I trained my whole life to get into the WFWF. I had been through tons of Indy Promotions but I worked for my life as I said before. My career started one day about 5 years ago. I finished wrestling school in my hometown of Buffalo, NY. I celebrated with a couple of friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. I was telling them how I was finished with Wrestling School, and how now is the time where I can start professionally wrestling for industries.
My Friend Johnny: Congrats Brandon, What's your ring name
Me: Thank You Guys, My ring name is Brock Maxx
My Friend Joe: You know when I started I had to work for 7 years and I still haven't made it to WFWF
Me: I just hope I make it; I didn't become a wrestler to go through Indy wrestling my whole career. I joined to go through Indy wrestling and spend the rest of it in WFWF
My friend Joe gave me the advice to work through the pain. That will be kind of hard for me since I haven't been wrestling in an Indy Promotion, so I wondered how I would work in WFWF. I took his advice and worked through the pain. However, 3 months after I started in an Indy Promotion in Ohio, I took a dropkick to my leg off the apron and I landed the wrong way. My leg was in serious pain. I went to the doctor and he said I had a torn triceps muscle and a broken ankle. I thought my career would be over. I knew my dream of being in the WFWF would have been taken away. Luckily, after they ran a few tests, they said I'd be back to my normal state of health in 4-6 months. However, after 2 months of being injured, I was fired from the Ohio Wrestling Promotion.
A few months later, the talent relations officer of Buffalo State Wrestling, Which is where I'm from and trained, contacted me saying they want me to come to fight in matches against other pros and help out the new comers. It was one year since I was in my hometown to wrestle.
BSW Talent Relations Officer: We remember you last year when you trained with us. You had great potential in the Training Center.
Brandon: Yeah, I'd love to sign with you guys again. I'll meet you at headquarters.
I arrived at the BSW Headquarters in Buffalo, New York the next week. The Talent Relations Officer welcomed me back to the BSW when I walked into his office.
BSW Talent Relations Officer: I know, you haven't been here in a year. I just want to say; we want you to have your dream come true in WFWF We just want you to be here so you can make your career in WFWF Possible. This is the best Indy show, for going right up to WFWF.
I had many matches in the BSW. I've held the BSW Heavyweight Championship on numerous occasions. Actually, I had the longest reign of the BWS Heavyweight Championship of all time with 573 days. However, on day 565 of that reign, I got a phone call from the WFWF Manager.
WFWF Manager: Hello, is this the wrestler under the name Brock Maxx.
Me: Yes who is this?
WFWF Manager: This is the management of WFWF. We want to talk to you about a contract in WFWF, how would you like us to sign you to the roster.
Me: Of Course I will. I'll show up at WFWF Headquarters ASAP.
The next day, I showed up at WFWF Headquarters.
WFWF Manager: Wow that was fast!
Me: I know, I just couldn't wait.
*We both laughed"
WFWF Manager: Well here we have your contract, all you have to do is sign here, here, and initial here (he said while pointing to spots where I have to sign)
I signed all the parts of the contract I had to sign and he told me who I had to face in my first match. He said I had to face Ace Bennet and Thunder and team up with Yukio Blaze In a tag match. I didn't tell him I'm not a tag team competitor but I didn't want to blow my opportunity within the first 20 minutes. Me and Yukio are forced to face a hall of famer, and a future hall of famer. It's my first match!! But I'm ready. I started wrestling 5 years ago and I finally made it to the big leagues.
