G.I Joe introduced the "Kung-Fu" grip for action figures & the market was permanently changed.
We saw this come into it's fullest fruition to the point of no return in the world of wrestling action figures when JAKKS Pacific introduced Ruthless Agression.
Now there are virtually no figures of any kind that do not feature the posed, yet flexible gripping hand(s) in the modern market place.
So I am left asking a question that I've asked since I bought my second figure ever of Charlie Hass to face my Ted Dibiase in 2005...
"Why is his fist clenched?" I inquired because I couldn't do half the spots or holds I wanted to because he was incapable of holding anything. I was particularly dumbfounded by this because the "Kung-Fu" grip basically looks like a fist & functions for punches adequately. Not to mention nearly doubles the number holds, spots, & poses the figure would be able to do, or be made to appear that they're doing it.
So my question stands. Do you want clenched fists on figures to stay, or go. I would like to hear the different opinions once you've voted on the poll. Enjoy the diversity of options.
I personally wish I never saw a fist on a wrestling figure again, because I still use mine the way Michaels & Jenetty used AWA Remcos. Compose sequences, finishes, even invent or relearn holds with the flexibility of Mattel Elites.

They're just toys, not little people to invent holds with. Fists look good and are, you know, fists, not half open hands that kinda look like fists. BIG SHOW NEEDS A BIG FIST.

BIG SHOW NEEDS A BIG FIST. Big Show definitely needs a big ass fist. KO punches aren't the same with a chokeslam hand. Maybe the right hand could be the fist, the left could be the chokeslam hand. I wish two open kung fu grips hands were the norm. There are exceptions like a double fisted Stone Cold would look nice on display. Lex Luger having two fists for his double bicep pose or Undertaker having two open hands mimicking the moment he raises the lights during his entrance work for them. For everyone else kung fu grips hands should be there by default. Not only do they look more symmetrical, but from a practicality standpoint, two open hands can swing a good ol' steel chair or hold a title belt above someone's head. You could grasp for irish whips or handshakes or try to skin the cat a la HBK. It's common sense to me.

Depends on the figure,I see the new Big Book Triple H has two open gripping hands. What I really want rid of is the wide open hands, now they are pointless

I still think fists being used significantly less would make everyone who actually plays with or poses their figures much happier.
I'm honestly amazed no one commented on the selection of answers I gave in the poll.

Some Superstars I'm fine with having fists, others not so much. I really wish we could get a closed Big Show hand though.

I just don't like them using the fist mold for left hands!
