What's the story on this? I came across one on eBay for nealy 2 Grand, its not worth that surely. Or is it, I don't know much about it. What's it limited to?

It was a running error they changed quickly on the release of CS 11. I don't remember any reports of people finding them in stores, but anyone who got their online shipment first got them and most were opened. Jakks also commented on the error before the first wave hit and said it was changed early, so it added to the value and the allure of the "Hollywood" weight belt with a 2002 Hogan since Jakks admitted it was an error and that some were out there. If Jakks never said anything, it would probably have been passed off as fake or a worthless error. No idea on what the number was limited to, maybe around 500, but 2000$ is easily way too much. 100-200 sounds more fair at this point. The rumors of it being an employee exclusive (Like the so called Jake/Andre/Studd 3-pack variant) are false  |

If there are collector's out there who decide to spend that much, then they're fools and it plays right into the seller's hands.
This is exactly why ebay is not a great place to buy things because the market is being dictated by greedy sellers and collector's who accept the ridiculous prices. It creates a knock-on for less rare figures, which is exactly why Marvel Legends figures are way overpriced.
Plus you factor in the increase in postage, it causes figures worth no more than £1 or $1, to be priced triple/quadruple that due to shipping.

Pretty sure they were fairly easy to find at retail. I know I had seen a couple at Targets.
