Mattel recently learned we have the rights to create a Flashback Lex Luger figure, and so he will be added to an upcoming Elite Lineup. I think we can all agree this is great news. Since Luger had at least 4 very disitnct looks in his career I wanted to take a poll of the board in this instance, see which would be the most appropriate to use for his figure. I have chosen what I think are his 4 most distinct looks in the poll above. Please vote for your favorite.
Please note that the winner of the poll may not necessarily be the look of the final figure ( as there are many other considerations that go into determining this) but it will give me an idea of what the dedicated fanbase here would be most interested in buying. I have an initial idea of which of the 4 I want to do so I am interested in seeing if it matches up with the results. Voting will end Friday as I do have to get started on the figure soon. Thanks Bill

Bill check my sig - he'd be the most cost effective way of doing it , but I'd suspect his Narcissist gimmick will win out. Only thing I'd ask is that you use tall white boots which he wore during that era.

Bill, Awesome news indeed! Personally I went NWA Horsemen era, but I guess a Wolf Pack one would also work.

NWA Horsemen era hands down! I am seriously marking out over this right now. This is the best news Ive heard from Mattel since.....well this is the best news period!! Please dont make more New Gen-Attitude Era stuff. At least not at first. Please, give us Old school fans a break and actually release an Old school Luger first. You all havent given us but just a very small handful of Old School guys in the past year.
May I also suggest if you feel the NWA era is "too dull" as its basically plain black trunks and white boots, how about a 1991 Heel world Champion attire. Bright Yellow, blue or Red tights with matching kneepads and white boots would be awesome!

I voted Narcissist, but I'd buy the Lex Express/Allied Powers Luger too for sure. Actually, I'd almost certainly buy a Wolfpac one too, for the shirt if nothing else. Probably wouldn't bother with the NWA version unless it had a really cool, unique accessory.
I think the smart money is definitely in his WWE look(s) or the Monday Night Wars era WCW one. Those 1980s NWA figures tanked the Legends line, so if you do go the NWA way with Luger, please make it an RSC exclusive rather than a retail Flashback. I don't want Crockett killing the retro figure avenue that's actually worked so far.

I don't want Crockett killing the retro figure avenue that's actually worked so far. That's an interesting theory. Looking at my display case, which consists of every Legend/Flashback released so far, the only "NWA figure" I see is my custom made Dusty Rhodes. Both Steamboats were from his WWF run. Terry Funk was from his WWF run, Polka Dot Rhodes was from his NWA run. Really the only NWA figures we got were the Brain Busters (which technically were from their WWF run as well but its the same look) and that was after the line was already toast.

I don't want to push our luck cause I'm so pumped we're getting Luger, but I'd love to see a scenario much like we had with Nash/Diesel.
