It worked for Narcissist, but I hated that part for U.S. Luger. Once it was gone I loved the U.S. attire.

Ugh, Lex has been one of my most wanted for a while, but I'm definitely skipping a WWF version. Besides slamming Yoko, I can't think of a single thing he did during his short run.

Awesome news! I voted for the Allied Powers/USA Lex... probably his most over and mainstream look. Hopefully we can have one of the other looks as a RSC exclusive sometime too...

Do the USA look for the Elite, do the plain blue/black/white look for a future Basic. Seems like a good way to do both iconic versions.

Did Lex Luger ever wear the USA attire in WCW??? Because it was definately in WCW vs NWO World Tour for Nintendo 64. Awesome news! I voted for the Allied Powers/USA Lex... probably his most over and mainstream look. Hopefully we can have one of the other looks as a RSC exclusive sometime too... I say make USA & NWO Lex in the same set [they made diesel/nash & big show/giant] why not. make NWA luger in a basic heritage line. make Narcissist an RSC exclusive The only problem I have with that pic of Luger you posted was it still has the "banner looking crotch piece". It worked for Narcissist, but I hated that part for U.S. Luger. Once it was gone I loved the U.S. attire. Yeh. I didn't like the loin cloth look either. I prefer the non-loin cloth....Non gold trim look from his Allied Powers tag team. I just liked that dumb forearm pad...because it covered the steel plate. He would pull it down then KO jobbers.

I really hope Wolfpac Luger doesn't win.
I think the best bet would be a Narcissist Lex Luger figure. A NWA or WCW Luger would be pretty easy to customize for the people that want one.

so happy USA Lex is still in the lead! Though I do feel bad as not everyone will be happy, and I know a lot of folks on here have waited for a specific look.
That being said, MDT, please please please don't use the HHH torso. It looks too cartoony IMO. I think Cena, or a brand new one would be the best route.

USA Lex Luger is one of the stupidest wrestling costumes I've ever seen for such a great wresler. I'd much rather have a plain color trunks like green, black, red, blue, etc and some wall white boots look. I always thought Lex Luger was very lame during his USA attire run. I don't collect anymore, but I have trouble seeing why people want the most overdone, goofy, and worst version of him.

Not to mention, it was the time when he was probably the most over/popular he's been throughout his career. Whenever I think WWF Lex (it is a WWF/WWE line after all), I think of USA Lex. And they could even do a long-haired/Allied Powers Bulldog Flashback sometime too...

Guessing that was directed at me since I used the quoted phrase exactly. Let me fill you in on something hammer, MDT was asking for opinions and I was happy to hear that, so I gave mine. I'm not going to apologize if I am capable of using something other than my own personal preference when trying to persuade Mattel to listen to an opinion. And if that makes me a 'woman' I'd really have to question that, since I am not the one getting my panties in a wad because my view, at least in this thread, isn't being shared by the majority. Hey dude, I love NWA figures too, but it's a personal preference and want something deserving of my $20. But continue to insult people who share a view that's different yours, that's the ticket. Back on topic - I want Mattel to create something that's worth my ~$20 for an Elite and the detail that it would take to create an Allied Powers or Narcissist figure would be more of a value than say, a solid trunks and boots NWA/WCW version of Luger. Thank you! I'm an old school fan myself, but having store shelves clogged with another mulleted black trunks old guy that kids will look past is not a good way to keep the legends/flashback part of the line going. We need strong sales from guys like Luger so in the future we can get other New Gen and before guys we don't have yet, and the best way to do it is have Lex in his most famous and colorful attire to attract more buyers. Exactly. I would think that even if someone was getting super butthurt about the NWA version not winning the poll, they would understand that the WWF versions are actually the better choice sales-wise. The worst possible thing that could happen to the Flashback line is Mattel deciding to put obscure, dull figures in it and then it failing like the Legends line did.

I mean, wasn't it pretty unanimous that the more obscure attire choices hurt the legends line quite a bit? Like slaughter, lod, snuka, etc? I mean, I applaud mattel for thinking outside the box and doing something different, but numbers don't lie and I'd have to believe that its the definitive wwf/wwe looks that sell best. You wouldn't have Hogan's first mattel figure be in a full blown white body singlet, just didn't make much sense. Again, no offense to those that really want the other choices and hopefully they can make them in the future too

I think if MDT posted "We just got the rights to Hogan, which would you guys prefer out of these? 1. Late 80s/Early 90s Hulkamania 2. nWo Hollywood Hogan 3. 2002 Hulk Still Rules 4. Black trunks from when he fought Inoki in Japan in 1983" There'd be a few people voting number 4 and getting really upset that it wasn't winning.
