Honestly I like that idea, announce it now so the hype for the Rumble can begin, make the event HUGE like it used to be. Have wrestlers announce that their entering and make it a big deal. Plus they can then put more focus on the World Title, make that a little more important; you could have every main eventer now looking at Del Rio and wanting his Gold, so there you make Del Rio relevant and if they wanted, could play up his cowardness to the max with it all. Could also set up some high profile "Royal Rumble Qualifying Matches" at the next two PPV's.... with everyone trying to get one of the coveted 30 spots.... Also have Triple H announce a "Mystery Entrant" or two..... would really get everyone excited.... With one of the "mystery entrants" being..... Triple H himself.....

At Hell in a Cell, you could have Triple H yelling at Shawn to super kick Daniel, and have Shawn try to bring himself to do it. Have him do it but not count for Orton and then when Orton gets up have Shawn super kick him and count them both KOed.
I don't want to see it, but if they did, that's how I would book it for Hell in a Cell.

And why would it be so terrible to not have a champion for a few months. It's not like the title really means that much. It's a prop.

We'll get a winner at HIAC. WWE has always considered the Cell a blowoff type match, and inserting HBK is going to get the finish for better or worse. MAYBE they could get away with it for one more PPV and push it to SvS, but people will be pissed. I think it seems more likely that we'll get a winner at HIAC, one more match at SvS, LMS, and then this thing between these two will be done.
I would like to see a WWE champion crowned in a Rumble match again though. That was such a cool moment for Flair and easily one of the best Rumble's in history imo.

According to some records, the WWE Championship was vacant from Wrestlemania 20 until Summerslam 2004 so this isn't too much of a stretch. I must have missed when the WWE decided to wipe out a huge chunk of Eddie Guerrero and JBL's title runs.

Me too because I don't know what the hell I am talking about as I meant world heavyweight championship instead of WWE championship. Color me stupidd.

I would be intrigued by it. Honestly, I would even be ok with the winner of the Rumble becoming champion.

I can see Cena winning the Royal Rumble

It could happen, well as long as the Hell in a Cell could somehow end up a draw, Team Orton vs Team Bryan at Survivor Series, and Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton can face off in a Ladder/TLC Match where they both pull down the belt, or a tables match, where they both put each other thru the table?

I'm all for it. Love the idea. But who could they possibly use as the TNA "defectors"?

It would be awesome if they did that once again and would breath some life back into the Royal Rumble......even if it would just be Cena winning the whole thing.

Not too sure about the Triple H stuff, honestly I feel he should step back and leave active appearances to rare occasions, especially in this situation. But yeah, it also makes getting a spot in the Rumble so much more important and could leave some mid-carders to have some feuds over the IC title and not clutter up the Rumble

I think it'd be cool if the winner of the Rumble became WWE champ, and then the last wrestler eliminated faced the WWE champ at Mania.

I love the idea of the WWE title being on the line at the Rumble. LOVE the idea. But I hate to wait that long.

Although I love the idea, I don't see it happening.
Plus, the WWE Title is a draw of its own.

Another way they could do it is have Daniel Bryan win the belt at HIAC and in the months after Triple H tries everything possible to take it from him, including having him defend it in the Royal Rumble.

The match at Battleground never technically ended. No ref called for a DQ or double KO. The bell never rang. If you really wanna be technical, the match is still going on.

Kind of why two fake fighters are predetermining who gets it.
