I'm surprised no one has complained about kofis title belt having a white strap but the old oval Design. I love it lol.

C3? Wasn't that what Art Aylum branded their DC minimates building sets to get around the DC action figure rights? Edit: yes. www.minimatedatabase.com/line.php?i=16If these have the same pedigree as MiniMates, then that's good news.

I remember seeing this back at last years Toy Fair "The Bridge Direct, a little group made up of former employees of Toy Biz and Play Along Toys, the latter owned by Jakks Pacific, former licensee for WWE. As others recall, Play Along was the company that Art Asylum partnered with to make DC Minimates under the newly created C3 brand of construction kits. It's looking like someone from Jakks is trying to get back into the WWE market by offering construction kits." Having ppl that worked on Mini-Mates and Marvel Legends....... and ppl that worked for Jakks (a company that held the WWE license for 15 years) is whats best for business

I can't even begin to explain for how many years I was asking for WWE legos! This makes me wish so much I was a kid again. I'll admit, I felt so giddy looking at these. Even an "Aww" came out when I saw the IC title.
I have no doubt they will be a giant money maker for the WWE. I remember being at TRU for some shopping this year & happened to look at the legos. The prices on some of the sets were insane, exceeding $100. But to my surprise where being scooped up by multiple people. They didn't even flinch at the prices! My godson is getting to the age he might be into legos, & if that's the case, I'm about to relive a happy part of my childhood.

Not really interested other than the Ziggler set. The Orton Viper pit backdrop is cool, as is the ring. That being said, the rest is meh...

Wow, can't believe I missed this thread! I've been waiting to see how these turned out since the initial announcement intrigued me, and they've exceeded my expectations. Really don't think I have the money or room for them but I'm very tempted. I wonder what kind of distribution these will have in the UK/worldwide. If they end up getting decent space on the shelves of every major supermarket, that'd be awesome. I'll have to start paying attention to construction brand toys next time I'm out -- I always assume it's all Lego and Playmobil but I bet there are other brands that I've never noticed. I hope these aren't too expensive but I'm expecting they will be. The prices of Turtles Lego shocked me. I wonder if these are likely to have an effect on any of Mattel's stuff, Rumblers in particular. this is the 2nd worst idea in my opinion.. i mean i hate the Flex force series, but atleast theyre still figures and come with weapons.. these things are just Legos instead of coming out with newer series to put into the figure line, use the money to revive the DM series or put towards the elite series b/c theres room there. maybe take the flex force and wwe lego edition money and put it towards something i've been seeing on this forum ever since i found out about it, and that is to make speacil "exclusives" and exlusive elite 2 pack, NOT A SERIES we've seen what happened with that but then again piper/ace, shiek/nikoli, and the bushwackers wasnt the best 3 you shouldve started with 1. As already covered, these are not made by Mattel. 2. Even if they were, that money would not and should not be used to resurrect failed lines. Those lines failed for a reason, specifically that the market was not there to support them. Nor would money for a mass-retail construction toy line "take away" money for an internet limited edition two-pack of figures. Two completely different segments. You're comparing apples and oranges. 3. If Mattel pumped tons of extra money into the elite line, the elite prices would go up way more than they already are. We're already getting year-on-year price increases because of the costs of material and labour. If Mattel suddenly decided to increase the budget per series, we'd be paying astronomically more than we do already. Actually think about your ideas for a second. Let's say this Dolph Ziggler bike race set costs $12 and imagine that Mattel made it and are considering your idea. So they scrap the Ziggler bike race set, and put all the development and production costs into an elite CM Punk. Now each of those elite CM Punks has to cost $12 more than usual for Mattel to see the same profit. Enjoy those $30 elite CM Punks while they last, because that big a price increase would alienate the market and kill the elite line. See why it's a bad idea?

See why it's a bad idea?do u people have nothing better to do? seriously, you look on a forum for someone who has a bad idea and before he thinks, posts it, then has to hear you numb skulls teach them a lession in economic's or make them feel like crap. just shut ur trap and post ur input on the topic not look for people who are doing this for fun and have a different opinion.. i dont mean to come down on you dude but these are just figures and im just getting pissed with all these jobbers that do this JEEEZUZ Wow, such a great reaction....some people are going to love this! OT: I really like these sets, might going to pick up some!

teach them a lession in economic's or make them feel like crap. That's exactly what you were trying to do to Mattel, and you were doing it based on uninformed assumptions. I'm sorry if I upset you but I feel that it's better for you to be upset one time now and get a better understanding of how things work, than it is for you to go on having unrealistic expectations and getting upset all the time when new wrestling toys come out. I hope it didn't make you feel like crap, that wasn't my intention. I just want you to have more of an understanding of how things work. Even if I have to look like a bad guy for it, I think it will help you in the long run. To twist a quote from a movie, I'm not the hero Retroplex deserves, but I'm the one he needs right now. We're all fans here and Mattel do make mistakes, but we should have the maturity to make the distinction between valid complaints/issues (eg they screwed up a headsculpt/body choice/costume etc) and invalid ones (eg they should pump all the money from lines I don't like into elites while keeping elites the same price and magically preserving the profit margin). If we keep a good perspective on the toys, we all have a more pleasant collecting experience. To put it another way, when we convince ourselves that a Defining Moments Ted Arcidi for $5 with a free real scale arena is a realistic possibility, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment.

i didnt know this wasnt a mattel project, when i was angry about this idea b/c its too late for lego's. i mean Lego toys still might have a following but Like the old school Mighty morphin power rangers unforntunently the time has passed.. -but this is what i mean, who are you guys to sa we " want you to have more of an understanding of how things work. Even if I have to look like a bad guy for it, I think it will help you in the long run." thanks dad, its not ur place.... -I'm not the hero Retroplex deserves, but I'm the one he needs right now". holy toledo batman .. never again, leave it at that -"To put it another way, when we convince ourselves that a Defining Moments Ted Arcidi for $5 with a free real scale arena is a realistic possibility, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment." um...... who the heck Ted Arcidi, to be involved in this i wouldnt be like this if you actually worked for Mattel, lets put it in Retro-spective we're arguing for no reason think abouit it, you think MDT actuallly take OUR suggestions into consideration, they'll give you the run around answers like politicians. but they're gonna do whats lol best for business. but then again, WE NEVER VOTED FOR BUNDY. and still dont have bret hart tribute CM punk <--- i've seen almost everyone complain about that

These look awesome and the toys are made for kids so no surprise they made Lego type of toys something wrestling toys have never had and with wwe being so mainstream nowadays I c how and why they went mainstream with a Lego type of toy .it wont please everyone but then again nothing will please everyone .so let's stop complaining and be happy there's something new even if it ain't your cup if tea .not everything is made for us collectors, you gotta remember wrestling figures are toys for kids just like when we were kids in 89's,90s etc...I like this idea for Legos and it's something my kid has and I can get some boy Legos and play with her with hers now lol n she likes wrestling so this is a win for me .i just hope I don't go buy every set like I do now with figs
