I was on eBay tonight and I wanted to know how much I've spent since I started collecting in May. I figured, it was somewhere around $500, but once I added everything up, I'm 43 cents away from crossing the $1k mark. I know some of you have been collecting for decades, but roughly, how much do you think you've spent over the years? And do you think it's worth it?

It's been about a grand for me. I've only been collecting for about a year now but I wouldn't change anything about it

God I don't even dare to calculate it. But it's kinda funny I was just looking through my bag I keep mostly all of my accessories in while looking for my e16 Nash nWo belt and I thought to my self " damn this bag could bring in some serious money" lol.

Enough that I could have personally funded the federal government these past few weeks.

Altogether since the Hasbro days, no idea. Since the start of Mattel... I'm scared to even add it up. At least one of every main line elite, about half the basics and most of the two-packs. Elite ring, plenty of Rumblers. Probably £5k or more.

Collected since Jakks BCA, Id say roughly 25-50K easily.

Been collecting for a few years and I'd have to say around £2000, if not more.

At least $5,000+, been collecting since the TTL days when i was 5. It's been so worth it. From running my own fed with sound effects, music, entrance videos and rules on Saturdays and displaying them when i'm not playing with them. It's been an incredible ride as a diehard wrestling fan. with no end in sight.

It's got to be a several thousand usd, I started mid 2010 and I bought every elite except about 5 of them so far and have about 2-300 Mattel figures total, so even if they were all basics that'd still be real expensive.
It's kind of silly to think I could've bought a decent used car for the cost of my toy shelf, but I wouldn't enjoy the car as much.

Just Mattels I've probably spent around £500 overall (small collection, don't want quite a lot of the guys anyway) but I've been selling my old jakks stuff and other old toys etc through the classifieds and ebay and it works out I've only spent about £20

Since mattel started, I've spent about 2500 bucks. But I'm. Grown man with a wife and a house and most importantly a steady job.
Since I started jakks in 98? I don't even want to know. But sold a lot of my jakks stuff off so I've made back a little....

I started collecting since Hasbro. I bought WWF, WCW, ECW, TNA, WWE, and some NJPW/NOAH figures . I've easily spent $20k in the past 22 years. Could realistictly be at $40k.

Just counting Mattel WWE? Probably around 5k since 2010. But that's not the only toy line I collect... I try not to keep track of the $ amount over the years because it can be jarring, but collecting is definitely worth it to me because I love action figures and it's really the only thing I spend money on for myself. I don't have any other hobbies besides collecting nowadays.
Plus, as years go on I end up selling some stuff. Clearing out older figures I've lost interest in or making room for newer versions I like better. Of course, what ever cash I make from getting rid of stuff usually ends up going towards new figures. LOL!

I'd say somewhere between 500-750$. I've bought and resold somethings so that brings the price down a little from what it would normally be. I also buy almost exclusively at retail, so that saves me a great deal of money.
