 This is Blackjack (Jackie) and Stroopwaffle. They are litter mates and are Australian Cattle dog/black lab/bluetick mixes. They will be 3 in July.  This is Roo. She's a 6 year old 1/2 boxer 1/2 pit bull. She is incredibly sweet. My sister & I took her in as a foster dog. She was going to be put down if no one took her. We had her for 2 weeks when she was adopted out by a couple who had 2 dogs the same age (6). Their one dog died of cancer, and the other dog was severely depressed. When they showed up with Jerry Lee (their dog), he got along fantastically with Roo. They now live in Burlington County and are inseparable.  This is what Piggy looked like when she was first brought in. She had a severe case of mange & was used as a bait dog in a dog-fighting ring.  This is Piglet (Piggy). She's a 9 month old pit bull/corgi/terrier mix. She is a foster dog my sister and I took in from Brooklyn. She was going to be put down as well. We got her February 1st. We decided to keep her instead of adopting her out.  |

Poor Piggy. How did you get rid of the mange? I had a dog that died from it because it was just so aggressive that it ate his flesh and he died. We tried everything to save him. Piggy is so luck to have you as an owner.

Piggy is so luck to have you as an owner. So sorry to hear that. Some dogs get staph infections because of mange. It also lowers their immune system. We had Piggy on pills & medication. The medication smelled awful, so I can understand why she put up a fuss when we tried to give it to her. We had to keep her on 2 different ones for almost 45 days. 2 pills & 1 squirt of medicine a day. It was awful for her, because (I apologize if anyone is offended by this) it gave her the worst diarrhea. Poor thing. This was taken 2 weeks ago at the dog park with her brothers. She always manages to steal a tennis ball every time she goes there. Little thief!  |
