I've always wondered
Do you buy every single figure, regardless of it is a straight up rerelease ie most of the Bo2013 wave etc, or do you skip these?

I collect all Mattel Undertaker items and yep that includes all the re-releases like the Bo2013 basic and the Bo2010 elite. If it's a new series I count it as a new figure.

Yup, I collect all divas, even if it is a straight up re-release of a figure I'd still buy it because it is in a different line up.

I used to be one so I used to collect everything, even the re-releases, but all got too expensive for me in the end so I am just focussing right now on the figures I really want (like every First in Line figure and all Elite Flashbacks).

Completist. I used to, but things like BO2013 with the exception of Kaitlyn are passes. I open my figures so difference in packaging means nothing.

I think you should buy all of them. Especially that Shad figure I'm selling.
Don't forget Carlito and Primo!

I buy all Legends & Flashbacks. Ill buy 2 of a figure as long as its a different attire. The only ones I pass on are DM Cena and DM HBK

I don't buy many doubles of a character unless it's way diff attire or more current attire n look or better looking to me..I do however have at least 1of nearly every character in a completionist to the point where I got at least every character not diff attires so much but at least one of each diff fig ..

I have every elite (not counting legends series 1-5 & DM 1-5) series 1-24, every elite store exclusive, & every RSC exclusive except legends Macho, & I do have like BO2010 & BO 2011 elites, but they are loose & prob wouldn't be able to tell the difference, between the BO & regular line.... BTW I actually have multiples of every elite loose, except the few FBs that were before my time, like Big Bossman & HTM, only 1 each of them

I don't buy rereleases unless it's an elite with new accessories, like the Big Show that was in both series 10 and 13.

I used to try and get them all, but got to be too much. Now, I just buy first time in the line basics and extreme attire updates.

I'm not a completionist, so wouldn't know. I guess they do because the clue is kind of in the name, COMPLETIONIST haha.

I always pass on the Best of Series unless they're build a fig sets or if there were a first time in the line figure. For example, I passed on Bo2013 except Kaitlyn.

I've collected every ryback released thus far but I haven't come across the re release best of problem just yet. There are a few upcoming re releases reportedly coming up so I'll attend to that when I see fit.

I've never really understood the point of being a completionist in any hobby. Seems like a huge waste of money to me. To each his own I guess.

The basis to buying every single release is simply to brag which in essence becomes pointless. In all honesty, it's just a waste of money and space.

I used to be a MOC completionist for the numbered series (Elite, Basic, 2-Pack) and PPV sets only. Even without the rerelease sets, exclusives, etc, I was winding up with too much bulk, too many duplicates, and too much money spent, so I quit and cleared out a ton of Sheamus/Rey/Orton-types around mid 2012. Completionism is more frustrating than fun in my opinion; I've been enjoying collecting quite a bit more since then.

Being a completionist never made sense to me. Me, i buy figures of the guys or divas i want even if thats multiples of the same one (ie i own 26 Rocks). But to buy a figure just because it was made and put in a series, regardless of whether you like it or not seems like a waste to me. Unless you do indeed like every single figure thats put out.
