After finally picking up Elite 22 Tensai this weekend, I'm really struggling to see where all the hate is coming from directed at the figure's arms. Yes, they're not perfect - but when you compare them to the horrendousness of the Elite Yokozuna's wimpy lady bingo wings, I'm not sure why people are giving it such a hard time.
Any/all opinions welcome

I'm pretty happy with it too. It's a very unique figure.

I'd like to find it in stores so that I can decide for myself if I hate it or not.

The arms aren't the problem for me.. It's his torso, too skinny. The Basic Tensai is perfect.

I've got one. Dislike the hands though. Guess it made sense at the time.

I don't care about the arms neither. I prefer the basic scan, torso, and trunks better than the elite.

Ugh e22 tensai is as bad as the jakks Deluxe Agression figures. Reasoning? It looks like cheap and lazy work. If tensai is that hard to mold in elite form then don't do him. Just like khali, tensai should only get basics. His body shape must just be too weird for them to catch in elite action figure form. If I never followed Mattel and saw a pic of that tensai I would bet money that it was a jakks da figure. I just noticed when comparing the elite to the basic, that Even the basics knee pads are more detailed than the elites. Good god.

I love both figures. The arms are fine IMO

I think part of the problem is that the Basic is overall just a better figure, which Elite collectors are not used to. The basic Tensai even had the bigger Kozlov sized arms, which suit him much better than those that ended up on the Elite. Obviously the major point of contention is the stupid trunks/bikers.

I switched the arms and head with the basic, but my biggest grip is the biker shorts.

I don't have the basic Tensai so I have no basis for comparison. I didn't personally think the body shape was that bad, but if they've nailed it on the basic I can understand people's frustration. And I completely agree about the Khali point

Oh, ouch. Having a proper look at it again the biker shorts are pretty crapty. Wasn't much if an issue until you pointed it out!

Now I'm wanting to switch my Yoko's arms with some bulkier ones.

I was hoping this thread was going to be a pic fed skit of two non-Japanese wrestlers battling to be the ultimate Japanese wrestler: Tensai vs. Yokozuna
