Found a very interesting listing on Craigslist the other day!
The dude was asking $5 per figure. He posted a couple crappy pictures on Craigslist - Only catch, I'd have to drive down to Bel Air, Maryland....... about a 40 minute drive.... you tell me if it was worth it.... I believe that it was!
I sent him a list of the ones I wanted, and took $70 with me in hopes of striking wrestling figure GOLD....
I was meeting him right in front of the Sears in Bel Air, MD..... and the dude was like 25 minutes late. So, while I was waiting, I took a peek inside Sears, although I usually don't have much luck at that place.... to my amazement, right inside the door, were some WWE figs... including this. I've only seen her at retail once, which was the time I bought her. So today, I picked up a second to open loose for display.... you'll see why in a few minutes....
Finally, the guy showed up.... and we exchanged $70 for a bag of wrestling goodness.... Let's take a peek inside the bag.
First up.... Ultimate Warrior Legends Series 1 Elite.... I sure missed this the first time around. Awesome figure, great add-on to my collection! This is in new condition.
Next up - Demolition. I've wanted these guys for a while.... Smash is missing his entrance gear, but for five bucks I wasn't passing these guys up. I can display them without the gear....
Basic Series 1 Batista.... I actually don't think I own any Mattel Batistas.... until today.
Basic Mark Henry... eh, I may or may not use this on my WrestleMania 29 display.....or somewhere else. At any rate, I opted to pick it up....
I had picked up a Skip Sheffield at the flea market a few weeks ago, it had a few dings... this one, not a scratch. So this is an upgrade for me.....
Eh, if I had to put one figure back, it probably would have been this one... but what the heck, it was only five bucks.
Ahhh, this is one of my favorite figures... I have it MOC but have always been afraid to open it, I just like it too much. Not a problem now, I just got this loose for five bucks! Unfortunately, he's missing his hat.... oh well, I'll just pick one up online or display him ready-to-wrestle....
What a joy to join him up with the Miss Elizabeth I just picked up inside Sears!
I also threw in this JAKKS Hogan.... just because it was five bucks.
Next up.... the wrestling Gods answered my prayers..... well, I guess the Elite Goldust would have been a little better, but this was sorely missing from my collection.... until today!
Also got these Basic Triple H & HBK... I had also found these previously at a flea market, so I think I'm giving them to my son and putting these on my shelf - they're in better condition.
I'm probably giving this to my son.... I said "probably".... it's a pretty nice figure. Ahh, I hate Rey Mysterio, he can have it.
And then there was this thing.... I don't know what it is just kidding, I know exactly what it is..... five bucks, baby.
So, got all these figures for $70..... except the Miss Elizabeth, which I found inside Sears while I was waiting. She was $17.99.... which is good, I thought Sears would jack me on the price..... great day of pickups!
I didn't see the Fresh Prince in Bel Air... but I sure found a lot of great figures!
Thanks for looking!
