so RSF looked to be great for everybody. i for one was super stoked to get a peek into the future lines because mattel have been getting better and better. being a punk mark, i got excited and disappointed at a few things.  PUNKTOBER punk! i love these tights.....but WHY BASIC? wah.  glad to see an updated mutton chop punk, alot of customizers took the surprise out of the mattel release because some of them have really nailed the punkchops look. disappointed at the fact that this is a re-release of the red/blue attire.  STOKED about this figure. i LOVE this shirt design.  REALLY REALLY happy that mattel listened to us whiners about punk's kneepads and put on smaller ones. in all honest truth they had chosen the right pair beforehand, but those legsleeves totally limited playability; plus with punk being so small they looked too big on him, IMO. also glad to finally get the cool red/white attire.PLUS they FINALLY painted the flowers on his chest red!!   NOW ONTO THIS GUY........................i cannot express how happy i am that we are getting A) throwback ecw punk B)shiny ECW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!. BUT, that head sculpt is not very good at all. to me, it looks like they popped the head off of an old JAKKS BCA figure. the previous mattel SCAN of punk smirking would have done fine. i will be buying the figure regardless, but i am not a fan of the head SCULPT. discuss. |

I hate the flashback headscan, would have preferrered a repeat headscan of like E1, or something earlier in the elite like... I don't want my Punk smiling when I hit the GTS on opponents! Just think it's terrible. And I'm one of those who likes the BAF scan haha
But I'll be getting it for the belt anyways... Then head swap time!

I like the ECW flashback scan a lot. Also I dig his new new scan on his elite but I hate that other scan its horrible and of course they put it on his halloween attire. But damn I love that ECW Punk so much awesomeness..can't wait to own it.

I definitely prefer Punk to have the full(ish) detail on his trunks in the Basic figures now that he usually wears plain kickers again. They look way better in that respect. Halloween Punk? I'd rather see that as the Elite, but they pulled off the web designs on the side, so it's good. I like how it looks...aside from one thing. My problem with it is that awful, awful headscan with sandy brown beard. He had hair that looked like that, but the beard? It looks so bad. Looking at the shirted figure at that angle is just...urgh, I can't believe it wasn't a one-off scan. I remember when we first saw the mutton chop scan (the full one), everyone crapped on it, but it wound up being his best likeness in person. I saw the Undertaker Punk in person - no dice, it still looked like Jinder Mahal cosplaying as CM Punk.
Oh yeah, and this is the 3rd time they've given him red lines instead of orange on that blue attire.
I do like the new Elite coming out in the SummerSlam '11 attire. And I actually dig the Flashback ECW one, too. I think that'll come across better in-person. Hopefully we get another Punk scan (yes, another...Punk's fault, not mine!) with more hair next year.

You definitely are Punk mark if you know that attire is supposed to be called the Punktober attire, brother.  I agree with you on almost all points besides the complaint about ECW Punk's headscan. The face sculpt is a bit iffy and Punk (in the words of my girlfriend and fellow Punk mark) his smile isn't as wide as the figure's is, but I still dig it. As someone else said, I'll be buying two. Already got a yellow crotch piece from E20 Christian and a Basic 2 Punk head ready for ROH Title victory Punk. ALSO I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY COULDN'T JUST MAKE THE PUNKTOBER TIGHTS IN ELITE FORM GAAHH |

It's silly. good reference pic. i was searching for one for awhile, but i gave up. i dont mind the expression, but i just dont see punk when i look at the face; it doesnt really resemble him, IMO. but i can see this fig as being one that will prob look better in hand. im curious if they did those red roh style trunks or the ones with the black stars  |

Love the Halloween Punk, but not a fan of that headscan. I like the new Wolverine chop headscan as well.....If they made hie hair a little longer on the top, I would been great. Still getting it regardless.

The figure is a instant purchase. But I will be blunt, the purchase is for the ECW title which will be waiting for the Elite RVD figure. The flashback Punk is the accessorie here! Just being honest.
The figure is solid, but I agree, the scan screams BCA.

Bill from mdt told me the new boppv & sign series mutt chop head are just re sculpted b29/33.... He also said they are working on a longer hair version mutt chop look, but said punk will prob have a Mohawk by the time that's released

The worst offense out of all the new Punks?
The rubber shirt with the EXCLUSIVE figure. (And potentially if he doesn't have the straight edge stomach tattoo, that would be a very bad error)
the WM29 Elite headscan is one of the worst Mattel has done for anyone. It's incredibly bad, and looks almost nothing like Punk.
The B29/Mutton Chop scan is one of the best they've done, and the best they've done for Punk so far. When it's painted right, it looks EXACTLY like him.
