Serious question...
Why are people paying upwards of $80 (more if you include shipping) for this 2 pack??? Alex Shelley hasn't worked for TNA in over a year....even then he was barely doing anything in 2012. Sabin doesn't look like that anymore, not even close. Barely wrestled or did anything of importance in TNA for 2 years
Plus if I remember correctly, when that set was shown people on here DESTROYED it saying that it was a horrible choice to use the Cena shorts for Sabin, and that Shelley had the "snow boots"
I just don't understand the demand for that pack. It was released at retail, and practically MELTED pegs for months. It would be the same thing as if LOTR Jeff Jarrett was selling for $40.
Does anyone have a clue as to why that one pack, out of everything that's been released by Jakks with TNA, is the only thing that is impossible to get at a reasonable price?

no doubt, just cause youre not on tv in the States doesnt mean youre doing nothing. Japan is nothing to sneeze at, by comparison (or even on its own) wrestling here in the States is a joke In Japan wrestling is still respected, in the States its out the window. Sabin certainly deserved the title, but they totally ruined it by taking it off him so fast now he's the poor man's Savage/Edge to Velvet's Liz/Lita take your pick.

I think it's worth a lot only, because it's the only MCMG figures we ever got and I don't think they're bad figures. I recently saw the two sell for $25 bucks loose on ebay a few weeks ago and unfortunately I got outbid on it darn. I'm getting back into collecting TNA figures and I see that some of the figures or better ones have gone up in price a bit. I would not pay $80 for MCMG that's for sure.

The MCMG never warmed shelves in my area. Found Team 3D sitting there more than MCMG. Only ever saw them once and I bought them. Never saw them again.

TNA collectors want a Sabin. Jakks won't deliver. I'm sure the team 3D set matches it in price on the secondary market.

Also I never saw MCMG anywhere in my area. The TNA figures sold out in my area and I had to go on eBay to buy some figures. The only TNA figures I saw in stores were Series 2 and that's it.

That whole 2-packs Series 2 was hard to find and probably underproduced. Even when TNA's online shop was trying to clearance all of their old figures from the first few series, and they put up tons from Series 1, including Beer Money which was also hard to find at one point, they never put up any more of Series 2, even Jarrett/Styles. Believe me, I was looking for them all the time. The only 2-packs I ever saw in stores was Series 1.

Oh don't even get me started on that two pack. Never found it in stores, and found it one time on Toys R Us.COM. Purchased it right away, with a gift card. The day after it says it's shipped, I get an email saying the order was canceled. Contacted them directly online and over the phone and not only did I not get the two pack, but they never gave me a refund on the Gift Card.
The only figure I'm actually interested in is the Shelley one, simply because I have his other two and I'd like the whole set. But I'm not paying $75 bucks and upward for ONE figure out of a two pack.

Just because they're doing nothing, doesn't stop them still being one of the best tag teams in the world.

People loved the Murder City Machine Guns..... oops, sorry TNA, I mean the Motor City Machine Guns, and being that this was the only Jakks Shelley and Jakks Sabin figures out there, of course people are gonna pay big money for it.
I got mine for free. A buddy of mine was selling his figures, and I helped him out and I asked if I could have the MCMG figures, and he said "sure" to it.
A real win/win situation for me in that one!

That's one of the last items I need in my TNA collection, coupled with Series 1 Angle & Styles.

I saw Jarrett and Styles one time at a Toys R Us like a year ago. No other 2 packs or singles at the time, and I had been there maybe a day earlier.

The only two pack that I saw and regret not getting was Foley and Joe. Always wanted a DA/DI Foley to go along with my Undertaker.

Because it's the only MCMG figure set that was ever mass produced.

Awkward moment when you've never seen either of them wrestle and only know Sabin because someone had him with some belt in his sig. I'm definitely on the wrong board...
