Okay. I'm not very smart when it comes to comics. I don't care about writers or artists. I just get what books have the characters I like in them and/or ones that tell a good story.
I currently have 15 Walking Dead 'graphic novels' and I have a few other random 'graphic novels' that I picked up here and there.
But I was at the mall the other day and I picked up "Batman Death of the Family" and I didn't realize it was part of a series, because like I said, I'm not very smart when it comes to comics yet. So after work today, I went to Schulers and I had the guy look up if they had the first 2 of the series, and he told me the first two of that series was "Batman Court of Owls" and the second one was "Batman City of Owls." So I got the two.
Can anyone tell me if those are the right ones to lead me into "Batman Death of the Family"?
Please help me.

From what I gather, those two do come right before Death of the Family, but you can read DotF without reading the others.

I'm pretty sure Death of the Family picks right up where the first two left off. Because the little intro thing on the back of the front cover says something along the lines of, "After a year... (something I can't remember)... The Joker is back.... (something I can't remember)... After getting his face sliced off..." So it gave me the impression that I need to read the first two to get the whole story. Which I'm fine with, I just want to make sure the ones I got are the right two.

I'm so damn dumb. On Amazon, it says at the bottom of the page that I can buy all three, (Court of Owls, City of Owls, and Death of the Family) and it shows them as a set. Totally didn't see it the first time. Nevermind, thanks tho.
