Using a meme of someone who has ruined themselves financially on numerous occasions trying to maintain the facade he developed for his gimmick. Yeah. That really gets your point across.

I can see you have studied ancient cultures and old forms of entertainment, philosophies and even word definitions and origins. But I however don't think you have studied the time in which the presentation we call "professional wrestling" was created exactly.
And to be fair, you can study ancient cultures all you want, but it's not going to help you understand something that me and my buddies did in the back yard.
The history is pretty cut and dry, They had REAL matches. THey took too long to finish, the crowds left before they were over and people were nearly killed in them. They thought it was a much better idea to rig the fights and give everyone a pay out off it than to risk losing your career over 1 fight. Everything WE know as professional wrestling evolved from that point on, and anything else is irrelevant.
Am. Wrestling is a form of Martial arts. Like Boxing. Professional Wrestling is not a martial art. You could say that Pro wrestling is a Story ABOUT a martial art. Pro wrestling is theatre.
Are we going to argue about Being in war vs Making a movie about war?
The only sport of Pro wrestling is played on the microphone. If we say there is sport in the physicality, then we have to also say there is sport in ball room dancing. Really I think the only way to be competitive in a large company is to be good on the mic. You obviously have the physical part down, because they hired you in the first place.

I've learned that story cover to cover & could recite it to you drunk. The QUESTION AT hand is the genre transforming from physical chess into fortified choss & the cultural perception of the business being transformed by this issue.
