So...What do you guys think of them killing of Brian and replacing him with an Italian stereotype? I'm personally pissed. I loved the Stewie and Brian episodes!
Also they destroyed the time machine so they couldn't bring Brian back but this also ruins the chance for some of the better episodes of the show where Stewie and Brian go back in time or something.
Really, really annoyed about this. Feels as if the show was already going to crapand they just made it worse by killing off one of the only tolerable characters left.

I don't watch Family Guy so I went ahead and clicked this. I used to watch it though and all I can say is WOW. How did they go about it?

Huh. And I thought it couldn't get any worse. Apparently they proved me wrong. Glad I stopped watching this show.

They killed the best character. Peter is alright, but Stewie and Brian carried the show for me. Stewie without Brian is like peanut butter without jelly. It tastes nice, but better is right there in the pantry, but you just won't bring it out. I'll watch the next few episodes to see how things work out, but I don't see myself watching to much longer.

They said next episode will be a "run of the mill" episode and it's focusing on Peter and Quagmire singing or some bullcraplike that. I'm hoping that at the end of the season they bring Brian back. |

Episode started with Stewie and Bryan being shot at cause they went back in time and gave the indians gun. Now the world was ruled by indians. They go back in time, take the guns back and back to normal. Then Stewie destroys the time machine because it's caused him to much trouble and they take it to the dump where Brian gets a street hockey net, they go home and go to set it up on the street and Brian gets run over. Stewie tries rebuilding the time machine but the guy who provides him with something was killed for drawing Mohammads penis. Long story short, they held a funeral for Brian, got a new dog and at the end of the episode Stewie and the new dog were starting to become friends. |

I always hated the Brian-Stewie episodes. But Brian was a great character.

Now how is Seth Macfarlane going to be able to sing old showtunes in his own voice?
Seriously though - I think it's cool that they're shaking things up in such a shocking/dramatic way. Too many shows are afraid to take any risks and just walk the "safe" line - never doing anything controversial or "BIG" for fear of upsetting people - kudos to Family Guy for taking a risk and doing something very different, that may not have been done on a cartoon before? The Simpsons has had deaths, but I don't think any of them have been considered main characters?
I thought the episode was great, I liked Brian but death is very much a part of life.... it's a real thing that happens to everybody at some point, interesting that Family Guy of all shows opted to play out a death in such a realistic manner....
Plus, I'm not convinced that Stewie won't find a way to rebuild the time machine & we'll have Brian VS. The New Dog within a year.... and I'm sure we'll get Brian in flashacks, and a visit from Brian's ghost, etc.... but I actually hope they stick to their decision to off a major character & change the chemistry of the show.
Scene of the night; Quagmire at the funeral, totally ignoring everything - watching a baseball game on his iPhone..... a nod to the old storyline that Quagmire can't stand Brian.
Do you think they'll replace Brian with Vinnie in the show's opening musical segment?
