I think this PPV broke out from the string of boring, disappointing, and anti-climatic PPVS. The jury is out until the main event, but I've found it to be very anti-climactic, boring and pedestrian. Maybe not Battleground/Survivor Series bad, but still, pretty bad. I can see where you're coming from. Ever since Summerslam, I feel that WWE has done a piss poor job at selling their PPVs to their audience. None of the recent PPVs have been built as must-see and worth the $45/$55 that WWE charges its fans for those PPVs. I will admit that the recent matches we've seen on TV have been quite good, however I feel that the storylines have been subpar and it's possible that the other storylines like Punk/Shield and Bryan/Wyatts are all tied to the Authority storyline that has been dominating shows since Summerslam. All I can hope is that WWE can come up with some compelling storylines and feuds come WrestleMania XXX, that is probably the time of year where WWE has to step up in order to create interest for WrestleMania, although the name WrestleMania more or less sells the show at this point. |
