My only concern is too many villains. I'm thinking Rhino may just be the opening scene of the film and the concentration will obviously be on Electro, with Harry turning into Green Goblin during the third act.

That looks pretty incredible. I like the idea of packing in villains personally. Spider-man and Batman can both work in that chaotic type environment where multiple bad guys are running all over the city at one time imo. I'm trying to grow adjusted to Jamie Fox's Electro. I know it's a hard character to sort of translate to "real world" but I still think it's a bit strange looking. I'm very excited for this though.

I saw a rough version of this a couple months ago and thought it looked like crap. Literally the only improvement that they've made is that he has a decent suit on, too bad the guy wearing it is very possibly the poorest casting job done on a comic character of all time.
And christ, the casting job on Harry is just absolutely dreadful. Emma Stone was the only good thing (as Gwen) in the first film, looks like that'll be the case again.
And the CGI looks shit, too.

It looks like someone playing a PSP game on a PS2 system. I don't even know if that's possible but that is how incredibly sh*tty the CGI looks. |

Oh dear God, Marc Webb what have you done?
I'm a bit skeptical about using several villains (based on Spider-Man 3, this seems too much at once), but I'm open to how this will play out with the story, so it could work and I'm going to reserve judgement on that.
HOWEVER - Harry Osborn looks awful. Thought that after set photos were shown, and now that I've seen and heard this dweeb, I already hate him.
His hair is ridiculous not only as Harry, but as the Goblin it's pathetic. How the hell they could ok this is beyond me. He looks just like the New Goblin from SM3 and an imp instead of a goblin. Plus his voice is grating and I've a hard time believing Peter would be friends with such a tool. Although that may just be my bias towards Dane Dehaan anyway.
Electro is fine, no worries for me. Rhino could work, I'll wait and see. But really disappointed by Goblin's representation.
Plus the Octopus arms and Vulture wings look exciting, along with the 6 doors opening. SINISTER SIX BABY!

I'm looking forward to it. I enjoyed the first one. Spider-Man isn't my favorite superhero but I like Garfield, Stone, Foxx, & Giamatti.

I hear a lot of people complaining about it, even though it isn't out yet. Personally, I will wait and see how this one goes. I actually enjoyed the first movie, and this one I will hold off and see if I enjoy it. Then again, I am not really into Spidey as a hero, and didn't care for the last set of his movies. We will see haha.
I did like the idea of Mech-Rhino, if only because visually and such , it fits better than a man in Rhino tights. lol

Wanted to and was doing well at avoiding the trailer but I had urges tonight.  It looks awesome to me, there are small things that might annoy me or look off but overall it crammed a lot of things in quite well from the add. I'm sure some of this will carry over into #3 and the easter eggs where awesome too, makes Spidey Universe feel like it has history that could come back. Only thing I dont like is how much the advert shows, I do hate how movie ads these days practically give you the film and I feel like I'm basically paying to see how it ends instead of what happens throughout. |
