So I have been thinking... the defining moments line was scrapped due to cost issues where consumers weren't buying the line because of the high price point per figure is that correct? In my opinion the defining moments line was the coolest and most detailed line to ever be produced. I mean look at the defining moments ultimate warrior, macho man both in their full wrestlemania 7 attire. Incredible pieces of art. I feel that they were totally worth the price point at $22.99-$25.99 because of the amazing amount of fabric deco and paint deco they could put into the figures due to having a bigger budget. What I don't understand is that we are now seeing Elites and Elite ppb build a figures at retail reaching very close to if not the same prices as the defining moments line. Elites in some areas are now upwards of $21.99-$23.99 and they still sell very well. So if people are shelling out high prices on regular elites and build a figures, why scrap a line that could have been the best and most detailed line of all time? Just curious to hear from MDT on this because I would take the defining moments line over the build a figure line any day. I also went to Kmart today and saw elite 23 and 24 for $19.99.....that's almost a $4.00 increase from last year. And that is for a figure without full entrance attire or full deco potential. Why not bring back defining moments as a few figure a year line with key superstar or legend attires? Is there any chance of at least bringing them back as ringside exclusives if there is no shot at retail? We already pay defining moment prices on ringside exclusives so I would loved to see the line get another shot.

I feel like they would have been a great line for online retailers or awesome as ringside exclusives. Ringside make it happen! |

Retailers won't carry what don't sell They didn't sell well at retail but we have the last two sets of build a figures still clogging pegs on top of the new Heyman series.... and they are still pumping them out to toysrus. Just don't get the logic. |

I do agree that series 3 was weak and probably hurt the line. That's why I think if they focused on huge moments in wwe history and very special attire and choose very carefully and play it smart, the line could be a huge success. Even if it was a ringside exclusive two or three time a year thing. |

I wish RSC's exclusives were DM's. I would love to see a HBK WM12, Jericho Undisputed Champion, Hogan... There are so many!

Because at $25 retailers felt it was to risky. The biggest pegwarmer of the group was Macho Man. I had 1 KMart that had 30 of him at one point and they didn't move until they hit clearance.
The boPPV is a store exclusive where you are getting a 5th figure when you purchase the whole set. And they all moved at my local TRU. They do have tons of the Basic Del Rio's from the past two sets, but that is really it.

I think u have a point... While I don't expect them to bring back the DF line, why not introduce a 3rd level of figure... Where the whole thing is high end... U could start do iit through ringside, so u can really focus in on the collector base rather then aiming at the main market of kids...
Call it "Platinum Elite" high end cloth shirts maybe even die cast belts... If they ever get Hulk this could be the perfect figure to try it with... Normal exclusives retail at RSC $22.99 to $25.99, if u could do it for @ or around the $30 mark and cut no corners due to expense... Man U could really have something... Limited edition packaging and maybe even limited numbers 1500 also... I'd buy them.

I like this idea, but instead of high quality cloth shirts, I'd be willing to settle for space aged technology rubber shirts, preferably a couple per figure, to really make it something special for the collectors. |

Just don't get the logic. Maybe in your area. My TRU doesn't have any BAF clogging and heyman didn't hit here till like a week ago. |

When I see the undertaker that Macfarlane are putting out, if I like it I will get it. I don't mind paying for quality if I can see the value for MY money. I collect play arts, and their figures run approx $80 each and they manage to sell enough to keep producing them. So I don't think it's impossible to make it work |

Not sure where u get $40 from, further to that, Brock is listed at $24.00 as is Kane. That is 20% below my suggested $30. Maybe they can't do the die cast belt, but better accessories might be possible. |

The packaging also hurt this set a lot cause it didn't hang on pegs. These ones were literal shelf warmers.

The exclusives that we get currently are elites that are more expensive than in-store elites. Any RSC exclusives (prior to sale prices/reductions etc if they don't sell out) will be more expensive than the retail equivalent because they are exclusives. They have a much smaller production run and thus need to sell at a higher cost per unit. |
