good ideas across the board.this wrestle mania set should be something epic for the collector and casual fan alike...just disappointing that with all the ability mattel has access to,they dont really treat this set with the same prestige as wrestle mania itself..

good ideas across the board.this wrestle mania set should be something epic for the collector and casual fan alike...just disappointing that with all the ability mattel has access to,they dont really treat this set with the same prestige as wrestle mania itself.. well, let me think here...based upon what figures rights they currently have, wrestlers that they had access to, to make the WM XXX sets: Bret Hart Shawn Michaels Undertaker Kane Big Show The Ultimate Warrior John Cena The Rock Batista Andre the Giant Million Dollar Man Jake The Snake Roberts Macho Man Randy Savage Ravishing Rick Rude Eddie Guerrero Triple H Randy Orton Mick Foley Bret Hart Dusty Rhodes Hawk Animal Ax Smash Crush The Rock Stone Cold Steve Austin Rick Martel Miss Elizabeth Sensational Sherri Trish Stratus Edge Christian Rob Van Dam William Regal Chris Jericho King Kong Bundy Big Boss Man Jimmy Superfly Snuka Rowdy Roddy Piper Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff Cowboy Bob Orton Diesel/Kevin Nash Yokozuna The British Bulldog The Mountie Sgt. Slaughter Hacksaw Jim Duggan Rey Mysterio Brock Lesnar I.R.S. Bam Bam Bigelow Lex Luger Mr. Perfect Road Dogg Billy Gunn Vader Bradshaw/ JBL ...that's just the top of my head, and skipping most of the current roster who competed at Mania's like Punk,Mark Henry,Sheamus, etc. this line COULD have been epic. could have truly been a celebration of 30 years of WrestleMania. instead we got a mostly crap lineup of mainly repaints or rereleases.

this line COULD have been epic. could have truly been a celebration of 30 years of WrestleMania. Well the difference is that when we're fantasy booking the line, we don't have to deal with the reality of the finances. Mattel isn't a charity created to help us celebrate thirty years of WrestleMania, it's a business that sells toys. And releasing thirty figures -- about twenty of which would be Legends figures, thus equating to about six months worth of a line that failed -- probably didn't make any sense, business-wise. If it did, they'd have done that. False. Of the figures we've seen so far, Sheamus is a repaint and Undertaker is either a rerelease or a repaint. Bret, Shawn, Batista, Warrior and both Brocks are not repaints or rereleases. Rock and Cena will probably be rereleases, but that still puts them in the minority.

Sorry. I wasn't thinking. lol First you start with this, then next thing you know, you'll start suggesting we go a few series' without Cena or Mysterio! It's a slippery slope my friend, this decent into rational thinking... No I would never think that. While I'm not a Cena or Rey fan and pass on almost all their figures (unless 2-Pack or BAF) I do firmly believe that there should be at least 6 a year in the basic line (every other set) of the faces (Cena, Rey, Bryan, Punk) because at the end of the day these are toys and kids should have plenty of opportunities to get one of their favorites. With Elites I'd say at least twice a year in the regular Elite line they should be released.

It's a shame Pipers always forgotten in these sorts of lists..... I think he's done with the WWE anyway so I suppose it doesn't matter...
