Their children. It'd one thing if it were just adults involved, but their were children with deformities, malnutrition and extremely poor hygiene. Let the adults do what they want but the children need to be taken into custody. I can't believe anyone would think it's best to leave them alone. And they probably don't have their vaccines. maybe the dingo ate your incest baby - sorry, couldn't help myself |

Why do we need to be involved? We know why the problems are happening, but its their ways. They are only hurting themselves. I say let them be. I don't agree with what they are doing, but its how they live. Well, when you put it that way, I guess. At least they're not eating themselves, lol. |

Just another media story to cover up whats really going on. This isn't real, it is basically the script from the Hills have eyes without the violence. It was a native folklore story that the media became aware of and created a cast of characters to create this false news story to create ratings for the main stream media outlets. Now in the coming months we will be introduced to these characters and we will be asked to donate money to help her learn to read and provide housing for them. Not to mention all of them will be featured on talk shows about how they survived and it will play out for months on television and end up with a life time movie.

This may sound sick but in a demented case like this , the government should've just had all killed and kept this whole thing under wraps. I nearly got sick several times while reading this. Yes, it does sound sick. We as civilized human beings should not wish death to people just because they're demented. |

This isnt the 1800s hee-haw South any more. You're confusing the people of the south with the people of Appalachia....and the Appalachian Mountains run from Georgia to Canada. Nothing "Southern" about Canada. |

There have been families and small towns like this found in the states before. Do I agree with it? No. Should they be left a lone? Yes. They have survived with what they have , and in most if not all cases have no contact with anyone else, what or who are they hurting?Their children. I cant believe anyone would think its better for these children to be taken from the only life they know, where they had no comparisons to every day people on which to judge themselves. Once they go into the "real world" they will have a spotlight shone on them for the rest of their lives because of how they look and how they act. This will lead to them becoming very isolated and taken from the only friends they had anything in common with. No matter how bad their living conditions were, you are only looking at it from your own perspective on the civilised life you're accustomed too. They dont know that and i can tell you they will only grow up with fear and resentment and hatred that will come from the isolation and loneliness their lives are now bound for. No matter how depraved these things are, you have to remember you're judging those actions based on the life you're accustomed too and the morals of every day civilized life. That is NOT how those children will see it. And who exactly are going to take in these kids? foster parents? not a chance they will passed around from home to home, they'll never survive a job, they wont survive in a civilised world without 24/7 monitoring. Thats no life. They should have been left alone. |

Because they were hazardous to themselves and anyone else that came near them. Incest is illegal no? I think it's safe to say that these 40 or so people are on enough pain and suffering that yes they should be euthanized. |
